Mathew:

Hey, what is up everybody? Welcome to a special episode of the chasing daylight podcast. We've been running this content or not contest is raffle for a while now, for the round with Joe Jeremy myself, out at so high on December 5th and we are going to pick the winner. I said I'll get to it, you know, relatively quick, because I don't want everybody you know we're not going to do that Make you sit around and wait for it. Hey, dan is here. Joe, you're on mute.

Joe:

I said make him stick around and listen to the episode.

Mathew:

Yeah, we'll be doing this at our 15 mark? No, no, what's up, Dan? Hey, how's it going?

Joe:

Good, good good, so obviously you see that yeah.

Mathew:

Yes it's been four different houses last week. We'll get to some golf stuff, stuff here in a little bit. Jeremy and I were there and this last week and spend some time checking the place out. I got repping so high hat Got right here, got the wheel o' names for everybody that is in this. So should we? Should we just get right to it, or do you want to do a delay it out?

Jeremy:

Let's, let's build the suspense a little build the suspense a little.

Joe:

So so high is December 5th right.

Jeremy:

When 10 am shotgun Is that what it is 10 am.

Mathew:

So 10 am, I'm sure it's got to be a shotgun. They can't, yeah 10 am, do it any other way.

Joe:

The last time all of us played it was when we whooped Derek Carr and Scramble Correct.

Dan:

His ass what is ass.

Mathew:

I was asking.

Joe:

Dan about this earlier. Who chipped in on 18? Was that you, matt, or was that Dan On?

Speaker 5:

18?.

Joe:

It was a chip in that that was.

Jeremy:

That was Matt, wasn't it?

Dan:

Yeah, I don't remember.

Jeremy:

Yeah, I was on that, I was Joe.

Joe:

I don't. It wasn't me, I would.

Mathew:

I think it was Matt, I think it was on the back, the back of the green.

Joe:

Yeah, you know, yeah, yeah, and we we needed that to like shoot, like what was it like? Probably 16 under something.

Mathew:

Yeah, it was ridiculous, but it was legit. That's it was. You know you? You hear all these reports totally yeah 40, 40, 40, 60s coming in. You know we it was. I was. You know I had hell of a good teammates just let them go.

Joe:

We held it down that day, that's for sure.

Mathew:

Yeah, I was draining everything and these three you were just blasted it so. And Dan missed out on the long drive contest because we played the wrong T box on our first hole and he's still almost one even even playing the wrong box.

Joe:

So yeah so, but it's been like it's been redone. They've done a lot of work to it since we've been out there last. I'm super excited to go play it.

Mathew:

Yeah, and Julian played it a couple of weeks ago or a week ago and said it was amazing.

Joe:

Yeah, and that's the only time I've ever played it, so we played it as a scramble, so I'm excited to get out there and play my own ball and see how well you do.

Mathew:

Yeah, all right, so let me bring up the screen and I'll talk over this and show everybody. So here, what I did is, as you entered, I've been keeping a spreadsheet, of course. So as you entered the raffle, I added your name to this. So this is in order of everybody that put them in. You can see there's some people that bought more than one and yeah, it goes down all the way down. I think it was 54 total entries, but you know 51, 51 total entries, no 54. Yeah, right there. All right, so shall I. Shall I give her a spin, Spin the wheel. All right, here we go. Do we need some? Do I get some drama music? I don't know if I have any drama music to play in the background.

Jeremy:

How many people we have watching on YouTube right now.

Mathew:

Not enough to be concerned. That's okay, but there's some people on there. Hey, if you're, if you're in the chat, let us know. And you know, if you win we'll be able to congratulate you right now. So, all right, and just so everybody knows, this is. You know, here's a new tab. You know I can go website it's it's live? I'm not, it's a live thing. So here we go, here we go Right and click to spin, there we go.

Jeremy:

That's killing me. Spence is killing me. Who's going to be?

Mathew:

Dave Mahan.

Speaker 5:

Dave Mahan.

Mathew:

Congratulations, dave Mahan. So it may have or it could be may have. Maybe may have it's like 100, 100 may hand, is that?

Dan:

that's what I, that's where I was going with it, oh hey you know, is Instagram handle or?

Mathew:

what I will have to get it and see yeah, yeah, I can find it, but that's, that is our winner. Congrats, dave Mahan.

Dan:

Yeah, let it go, Dave.

Mathew:

So you'll be joining myself, joe over there and Jeremy down there December 5th, so sorry for.

Joe:

Taco Tuesday. Oh, you guys are going to be on a Tuesday.

Jeremy:

Yeah, I can't wait. It's going to be a good day.

Mathew:

Yeah, the place is amazing. It's, it's crazy good. So and Brian or posted some photos out there. He's been posting a lot of Vegas photos this week because it's F one week is finally here and do you see them, the Malbon collab for F one.

Joe:

Yeah, it blows my mind. Yeah, malbon did a Las Vegas F one collab, or whatever you want to call it, drop today.

Mathew:

Really no, I didn't see that. Is it good?

Joe:

It's very F one inspired. So if you're into that, yeah check it out.

Mathew:

Now I'm going to have to look.

Jeremy:

I saw you posted, I just didn't look at it.

Joe:

I get that. I get the text messages. I feel like they fucking drop shit like four times a week and I get like a random text from a 833 number and it's like, oh, that's probably Malbon, I'm not going to look at it till later.

Jeremy:

Yeah have you guys ever bought anything from him?

Joe:

I have, yeah, I get the band and dunes collab, I get the duffle and then you get the back. Yeah, that's the only thing. Yeah.

Mathew:

I did. I did like the tailor made one. That's the only one that I've really liked Me too, the red and white tailor made stuff that was that look really good.

Joe:

They've done some good stuff. It's just, you know it's, it's, it fits a certain style, so it's, it's not you, it's not you. But if it's you, then it's you.

Mathew:

Yeah, with the stealth Red Bull racing driver. I thought that was a little much. But I mean if, if you're a Red Bull fan and you like golf and maybe it's for you.

Joe:

I don't know, yeah, blocky, blocky's got that driver in the bag. I think I saw the Red Bull racing driver in the bag.

Mathew:

Yeah, he didn't do so well in no-transcript. No no, no, all right. So again, congrats to Dave. I'll send you a message afterwards to sync everything up with you and, yeah, congrats. So that, that is that. So let me get off that off my screen. Let me now leave, that way I don't lose it. And so we're going to get some into some go here. I'm going to go ahead and do this too, since you know the golf wardrobe change. Yeah, wardrobe change Since the golf stop, you know, is the Beyonce of podcasts. Hey, you know what? Beyonce speaking of wardrobe changes.

Joe:

Look, I had to pull out.

Mathew:

Yeah, I had to reach in the top shelf of the closet and pull out some shirts that fit once again, so that was pretty exciting and found a whole bunch of great spots, those greens are just great out there. That's such a fun place to play golf.

Speaker 5:

Such a fun place to play golf.

Mathew:

Okay, so the golf stop. Jeremy and I went in there this past week and it was his first time checking it out. What do you? What were your first impressions, jeremy?

Jeremy:

I was very impressed. Like as soon as you walk in, it's just they built it out super nice. Everything is like it's pretty luxurious place, Like I love the setup. It's really basic and simple, Like it's. There's just, you know, the bar and kitchen, sort of kitchen-ish area, but then the main thing is just the, the base, which there's, nothing else. That's exactly, I think, how it should be no extra stuff, and it's they did. They did the whole thing right too, Like they. It's amazing. There's a ton of space, Like there wasn't really anyone else there when we were. But I think you feel like your own private little room, Like you're. It's just separate from everyone else, which I think is also good. I love five iron, but that's kind of a different environment. This one I think you could really go and if you wanted to spend a bunch of time practicing, you could really do that by yourself and you wouldn't really feel like you're in anyone's way or anyone else's there. But it's like the neighborhood version.

Joe:

Yeah, it's a good track to get to, you know it's yeah. Yeah.

Mathew:

And it's this. I think the golf stop has a little bit more of a this is my place kind of vibe. You know we're five iron, you. You it's in a touristy area You're walking through and it it doesn't have a home, home base type feeling to it. It's awesome, don't be wrong. Love five iron, love everything that they're doing, but I, that's the.

Joe:

Golf stop is a local spot.

Mathew:

It's a local spot, Exactly it's. It's not like five iron.

Joe:

You go like is this guy from Cincinnati? Or fucking Panoski Ohio.

Jeremy:

Terra, hot, indiana, yeah yeah, yeah, I liked it. So I also I think that's part of it too Like the local thing. But you like, when you become a member, I think it kind of gives you that little bit of thing Like you you're a member of something that's you know, it's not like country club level, but it's like you're a member of something. Like that is kind of cool. I think that. I love it. I think it's and he said they were doing really well and it's. It's been busy and memberships and stuff. So I don't know how it's going to be to compete with. You know, getting time slots. I'm sure it's pretty easy right now but hopefully it picks up for them. But I don't see why it wouldn't.

Mathew:

I mean it's.

Joe:

That'll be the interesting thing. Are they going to do? Are they going to have to expand, or like? That's what I'm curious about. You know, do they get busy enough to where they need more bays, or and and and? That would be a good thing for them for sure, and I think there's open spots in that shopping center there.

Speaker 5:

So it would be interesting if yeah, but if.

Joe:

But if they did well enough, like do they open one down the street or you know, so that can be a good thing. But it definitely seems more of like a local spot. I was going to say, I mean, maybe we do that little golf club exchange tomorrow there, you know oh yeah, yeah, for sure, absolutely, I was going to go tomorrow. I would love to check it out. I haven't been there yet, so so we did the.

Mathew:

We played nine holes at Black Desert, which was fun to see that on track man.

Joe:

Oh cool, they got that on there.

Mathew:

Yeah, they got it on there. So and I mean it's, it's like being there, huh, I mean well, yeah, yeah, as far as simulating simulator golf goes, it very accurate, except the greens. You couldn't hold a ball in the green. I picked medium greens and that apparently is stemmed at 13s and won't hold the ball. So I have to remember that for future purposes. But before that, we did the combine which I have never done the track man combine before and have you guys any of you done it.

Joe:

I've done the fight scope one, but not the track man one.

Mathew:

Yeah, so it's. It's pretty cool. You get 60 shots, it's 30 and 30. And you hit three shots. You hit 10 different shots three times. So they start off with 60 yards, 80 yards, 120, 150, 180 driver whatever and the first one is total distance. So 60 yards. You want to get it as close to total distance as 60 yards. And then the second time through, it's carry distance. So you want to get as close to the carry distance as you can. And it's pretty interesting, you get points based on how close you are to the distance and how close you are left or right of the target, and then it gives you a combine score and a estimated handicap, which mine came back at an eight, which is exactly where I'm at right now. So that was pretty funny. What did yours come back to? You remember?

Jeremy:

I didn't get a handicap for the combine and just after the black desert round, I think it was like a 11.

Speaker 5:

Because I think I shot like six over on the front line at black desert.

Jeremy:

But yeah, so I don't. I didn't see it, but I know you probably did better than I did. I think I felt start getting the hang of it Like it's really you can really dial in your swing on that combine game. But yeah, this is what it looks like.

Mathew:

So you get the. It breaks it down Each shot.

Joe:

We were just kind of talking about that and so it's like, if you're not used to swinging and in like a Sim Bay, it's different.

Mathew:

Yeah.

Joe:

You know, so you can as we were walking out of five iron. We talked about it.

Mathew:

Yeah, the closer you get, the 100, of course, is on the line at the distance. So that's your. You can see my 60 yards score, 70 yards score, 80 yards score and on down, and then it breaks it down each one. And if you want to look at the six shots, you can get all the stats from the shots. So I mean tons of tons of information, which you know I'm a stat geek. That that was. That was really cool to see. So I'm mental explosion. So I'm interested to see if doing that, you know, a couple of times a month or once a week after practice sessions, whatever is is going to assist me with dialing in some numbers a little better, because it's you know, that's one of the hardest things in golf is knowing accurately how far you hit your clubs. Yeah, when you hit them. Well, let's see. So after that, that was the golf stop. Yeah, check them out. There'll be a link in the show notes below where you can check it out, reserve a T time or reserve a slot. Go in there and check place out. Golf wise, we had some some outings. Jeremy, joe and myself played with the double par group out of Boulder City. Muni. Dan was out in Perump over the hump, dan, how was? How was Mountain Falls?

Dan:

Mountain Falls was awesome, actually the courses in really really good shape. Greens are perfect. They're probably running about, probably about a 10. So not super fast, but you get. You get some bad spots. It was, you know, it was pretty slick but a little, a little wet, but it was. It was awesome. It was in great shape. Pins were they somebody? Somebody pissed off the whole cutter because they had some pins. They had some pins in some ridiculous spots where, like what the hell, but it was fun, it was fun. But yeah, I was out there with Tray and Tray and Glenn and we had a good time. Yeah, and Brandon Wilkinson too.

Mathew:

Yeah, dan was telling me he's he's got a little two way miss going on right now. Yeah, not swinging very well, that's strange for you. Did you have it tonight at five? Iron too.

Dan:

No, I just kind of had the pools a little bit tonight, but a putting was rock, rock steady tonight, so good.

Mathew:

Nice, nice. So I, I'm, I feel like I'm almost out of my funk. Almost Almost had a couple, had a couple issues with my chipping putter on the shelf. yet no, no, no, the pink. I tell you any. If I missed a putt, joe's like, oh, time to retire the paying, time to retire the pain. But no, I, I'm, I'm really enjoying swinging with that putter. I, you know, putting with it it's, I like it, and so I'm going to game it for a while We'll see. So let's retired, tell us retired until the next thing comes along, which I found, a new putter company I'll have to share with you guys, see what your thoughts are on it. Yeah, somebody trying a different tech in the face insert, so so like Legos, almost the epoxy putters. It's close to Legos they're taking. They're taking a acrylic and adding wood to acrylic instead of the opposite way to reverse Bradley putters. No, it's. It's a interesting, interesting tech that they have in it. So I'm curious to see how that goes. But I've reached out to them.

Joe:

So Tinker toys and shoo goo yes.

Mathew:

But I played. I played probably the best golf I've played in several months. I you know I've just been in this just funk with my driver and I finally got the driver dialed in, Thank you. I got the dialed in and I stopped helped a bunch. I finally found, or finally got in, the 16 gram weight for the slide Adjuster adjustment on the bottom of the stealth driver. So I have the grip that I want, I have the swing weight that I want and hit the driver really well yesterday. That was nice to see. Yeah, you did. I mean I missed two fairways and I was, you know, inches into the rough. It wasn't like I was way offline. So one little money in the scans and a CTP.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Mathew:

And, yeah, had a good day out there. What'd you guys say? So the greens were completely different, I thought, compared to when we played there in the tournament. I know Jeremy only played nine holes, but I thought they were rolling way better like more consistent and more fluid than they were when we played the tournament. I improved my score by 13 strokes. I think it was compared to the tournament.

Jeremy:

I thought the greens were really. They were rolling really well but they were faster than I remember. I think I was a third or fourth time I played there, probably the best I've seen it. I think late in the afternoon when I played with my dad there last week. They get really bumpy and slow so it was nice to play early in the morning because they were the opposite.

Mathew:

I thought they were great, yeah, I hadn't been out there in a while but I feel like they were really good.

Joe:

I mean, they rolled really well. It almost has like a scot-a-vibe to it, to where it's like you think it's uphill but it's actually downhill and it's kind of hard to judge speed out there, which is interesting, which you wouldn't think for a place like that.

Mathew:

Some of the short cuts have a lot of break yeah.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we're killing it A lot of geese though A lot of geese?

Jeremy:

I didn't think there was a lot of geese.

Mathew:

Some albino geese too.

Jeremy:

There maybe is a few of the holes where you kind of have to scoop some goose crap out of it.

Mathew:

It is approached out of the first hole had to back off because a whole squadron of them came in landing and he thought it was a motorcycle or something.

Jeremy:

Yeah yeah, that's a fun place. It was definitely chilly, though I'm sure, dan, it was probably cold in Paramp as well. I don't know what time you guys started, but it was definitely chilly. Was it like 8.10 or something?

Dan:

It was 9.50. So you had a great day, then Showed up in a hoodie and it was off while hitting balls, yeah, so it was pretty nice. It was probably mid-60s.

Joe:

Yeah, it took about an hour for us to take the hoodie off.

Mathew:

Yeah, I was in shorts by the 10th hole, 11th hole, and we went off at 6.37.

Speaker 5:

It was chilly in the shade man it was chilly in the shade.

Mathew:

All right, let's see. Got that, we got that. We got that. Who's watching the Netflix show tomorrow?

Joe:

I have, I have, I have somewhat of a day, so I'm definitely interested in tuning in for sure.

Mathew:

Jeremy, you want to bring it up and run down who's who's, yeah, what time?

Joe:

does it start at like?

Mathew:

three, I think three o'clock.

Joe:

Three pm OK.

Mathew:

Yeah, I don't know if I mean it's got to, that's probably can't be live, not at three o'clock.

Joe:

No, it's supposed to be Netflix's live first live sporting event. Is what it is.

Jeremy:

Yeah, and I can be under the lights like the F1 lights.

Joe:

No, there's no, but that's what they're. That's what they've promoted it as Netflix's first live sporting event.

Mathew:

I got it starting from three to three o'clock on my calendar.

Joe:

I have to look at, maybe the only plane, yeah three pm Pacific. Hmm.

Speaker 5:

That's an hour and a half, well, maybe two hours.

Joe:

Yeah, they get two hours out of that, but yeah, that's what they, that's what they've promoted, as is the first live Netflix. So, and I think we just lost our Netflix access because they I think they instituted this sign in and it's not associated with this household thing, because oh where they were doing it where they were going to start billing the account holder for that. I know, I know. I know I had heard about it, but Katie tried to log into Netflix the other day and it said this is this household is not associated with the household of the user.

Speaker 5:

Well, I know.

Joe:

I guess that.

Speaker 5:

I mean.

Joe:

I mean, if they that's smart on them. I mean, obviously it's a business decision, you know like yeah. I don't appreciate, I don't like it. But you know, if I was, if I was running Netflix, I mean, I would do that for sure, no doubt, unless I knew you personally.

Mathew:

Yeah, they're probably losing a crap. Yeah, a load of money and people doing that Totally.

Jeremy:

Yeah, so there's two matches. So we have, for match one we have Lando Norris and these you know, f1 racers, so maybe not a lot of people know who they are, but Lando Norris, he's a McLaren racing driver, and Ricky Fowler are playing Harlow Sains he's a Ferrari driver and Justin Thomas. So that's match one. And then match two is Alex Albon and Max Homa versus Pierre Gasly and Colin Marcau. So I think they'll have the two matches. The winners from both the matches will compete in a playoff to take home the Netflix cup. So which?

Joe:

Netflix cup. I don't think we ever mentioned this on previous weeks, but that video of Colin Marcau getting the call for like the LA TSL team and like saying like oh, this almost, this is like almost like Ryder Cup call. You guys saw that right.

Mathew:

I didn't see that.

Joe:

Oh, like they. They filmed them because there's the LA team for the Tiger Rory League whatever. And he's on the phone and like, oh, I just feel like. I feel like this is like a Ryder Cup call to me, which is just fucking bullshit.

Jeremy:

Was it cringe, like how the got live guys were saying that this is like totally.

Dan:

Yeah, like he got a lot of shit for it.

Joe:

Yeah, he did and nothing. I mean it's one of the highest honors in golf right To get your Ryder Cup call and he's like oh yeah, and I don't like that. I think the league is going to be fun to watch, but it doesn't compare anyway, but it's entertainment.

Mathew:

It's golf entertainment.

Joe:

Exactly, yeah, that's, and just like what tomorrow is to, I mean, tomorrow's is going to be golf entertainment golf entertainment yeah.

Jeremy:

And it's eight holes, eight hole matches, so I don't know the routing. I haven't played the win before but I'm sure they routed that so they can put eight holes in.

Mathew:

Yeah, it's close to the. They did the same thing with the Patrick Mahomes.

Joe:

The match yeah.

Mathew:

Crap that they did man.

Joe:

I didn't watch that. Play that place again. Yeah.

Jeremy:

Oh, I'm going to, I'm probably going to check this one out just because I'm totally curious, but not really my jam, but we'll see it could be. I'm sure it'll be entertaining and I mean the win is like you're not going to stop doing what you're doing to watch it.

Joe:

No, if you're at home looking for something to watch, like that's, that's what it is that pops on in your golf.

Mathew:

Yeah, you might tune in. Yeah, totally, dan, you have any, I know? Some people that are going like I'm not paying for tickets for that, like that's a that's a hard no for me I got a pop up on my phone that's like click here for tickets and you know it's like clicked on it and then it was like 60 pages of spam and you have five minutes to. I'm like I have the hell with that. I'm not doing that.

Joe:

No, I mean $20 like tops. I'm not paying for parking to go down there. No, there's no way you're going to get down there tomorrow, I mean exactly, and the strips are all anyway.

Speaker 5:

No way, yeah.

Mathew:

We're going to have you park at Palestation and we'll bust you down.

Joe:

Yeah, we're going to bust you over, yeah so I think the real highlight Me though me, this is the target on Maryland and if you over there, yeah the highlight is going to be the the answers.

Jeremy:

Yeah, I think the the announcers are. Adams, joel Damon Bert Kreischer and Marshawn Lynch oh man Bert, which is going to be pretty down funny.

Joe:

I think I was reading this Marshawn Lynch.

Mathew:

I was looking when they announced it.

Joe:

when they announced the announcers, I saw a lot. I went into the comments and I saw a lot of people like, oh, Bert's going to ruin this shit, which is funny because I like Bert Kreischer right, Like I do, but I don't know if he has any business doing that.

Mathew:

I don't know the name. Who is he?

Joe:

I do A comedian, yeah, he's the machine.

Dan:

He's the machine Razzle, dazzle.

Jeremy:

Yeah, stand up comedian to bears one day.

Mathew:

Oh, that guy. Ok, all right, yeah, yeah.

Dan:

He's the guy.

Jeremy:

Is it a big way? For some reason? Yeah, I think. Yeah, he was. Yeah, you know Australia. Yeah.

Joe:

He took a shirt off in Australia, yeah.

Jeremy:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, so.

Joe:

I mean, it's something to watch right Like it's. The world we live in is all content, you know. Yeah it's all clicks and yeah, I started watching the fucking mystery of Blue Frog Ranch today, or whatever it is, and it's just another one of those curse of Oak Island things.

Mathew:

So oh, is that the one with the, the digging for elements?

Joe:

Yeah, with the mercury in hand. Yeah probably some magic trick or something. Yeah, you know, but it's, you know, it's, it's all content, it's content, content creation.

Mathew:

It's got 13 seasons of Oak Island, so you know I'm going to be into that one.

Joe:

Yeah, the curse of Oak Island is the OG, but I mean it's it's happening right before the F1 race, which it's going to bring people to Vegas, and the content is going to be created for the F1 racers and it's just going to. It's just feeding the machine, you know, and that's probably why the machine is involved, you know, because there's a machine that's happening and someone's got to feed it. So it's all content, but Vegas is going to be fucked this week. So stay away if you can.

Mathew:

Yeah, it's, it's going to be. Don't come crazy, just watch it on TV. I mean, I live here and I'm watching it on TV. I'm not going anywhere.

Joe:

It would be surprised if they fucking black, you know, black us out in town. Yeah, right, the way they're, I go outside, I went over the windows and they're tented.

Mathew:

F1 came in overnight to block the going outside and seeing it.

Joe:

Camp. Cam Kelly is a big F1 fan. He's going to be out here. He bought tickets, so he's staying at the Cosmo. So you can try and meet up with him at some point.

Mathew:

But Ryan Peterson, you talk off, he's coming down, you know he's.

Joe:

Yeah, I mean it's a big deal and I'm curious to see what happens from it. You know, like is it going to? You know, I watched a few videos and it's like the track might be slick and like.

Speaker 5:

Oh, and it's going to rain.

Joe:

Yeah, which.

Mathew:

I saw on.

Joe:

Tarik on the news. Is he mentioned it? Yeah?

Mathew:

So unfortunately, mattie G is not with us this week. So, joe, do you want to try another go at it? He loves your. Your spiel last week I didn't watch much.

Joe:

I didn't watch much Mattie G. This week I did watch a little bit, but I know there are chances of rain on Friday or Thursday, one of those days.

Mathew:

Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday it's going to be colder iPhone weather forecast based off the iPhone app.

Jeremy:

Let's see. Let's see what you can do, Joe.

Joe:

Let me pull this up here. Oh, I was, I was on band, and so let me hey Rob's in the chat what's up?

Mathew:

Kevin Stratton's in the chat what's up?

Joe:

So the race is Saturday night, or is it?

Mathew:

Saturday night, yeah, saturday night.

Joe:

All right, let's go to the Saturday night, your forecast. Oh shit, that only goes to midnight. So starting race time, starting at 10 o'clock, is going to be 54 degrees, with winds, low winds. We're looking at four to five miles an hour. Saturday night around 10. Precipitation is low Sunday, because what do they last? They last about three, four hours. So like that, three hours, and then temperature is going to drop into the low 50s up until around two am. We're going to be sitting around 50 degrees, low wind. Once again. No precipitation coming that night, but we might see some slick tracks due to rain earlier in the week. So it's going to be interesting to see how the race track absorbs this moisture from the air. They are cumulus, clouds are going to be in the air and it might block, block your. I just know a cumulative.

Jeremy:

You'll know, nimbus.

Joe:

Yeah, this is going to be the lowest temperature race that has ever been raced in F1 history.

Speaker 5:

I saw so yeah, they don't generally know in nice in 1981, there was a F1 at a Caesar's Palace.

Mathew:

Palace, yeah, the Caesar's.

Joe:

Palace Grand Prix.

Mathew:

Yeah.

Joe:

Yeah, and Las Vegas detached their name from it because they knew it was going to be a disaster. And it was only two years, only last two years.

Mathew:

Yeah, A little little different era now.

Joe:

It is a different era now and and Las Vegas has obviously repaved Las Vegas Boulevard and it's going to be open to traffic during the day, or cars during the day, so it's going to change the racetrack. So I'm interested in all these variables, like there might be some wrecks, there might be some shit going on, and I feel like they're not going to open the track up to the driver during the day? Yes, and it opens at 8 am.

Mathew:

They can do that.

Joe:

There's no way. I talked to Sean Wood via warehouse delivery system and, yeah, they're opening. They're opening it up every day.

Mathew:

So it's going to change the track, so I can't see them doing that they're doing it.

Jeremy:

I didn't have to inspect the track before.

Joe:

Did you ever think that they would ever close the strip down for four days in a row?

Mathew:

Yes, yes, I did.

Joe:

Well, well, they're not, so it's going to be half days.

Speaker 5:

I don't know that they're opening yes.

Jeremy:

Yeah, I heard the same thing from someone that it's being opened. Yeah, that's wild. The track looks amazing, though the pictures they do they posted today look incredible.

Mathew:

The night it lit up at night is it's looks amazing. I mean it's going to be, it's going to be a spectacle.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, it's going to be interesting and we're going to find out if all our blood, sweat and tears in the Vegas Valley are going to be beneficial. Who knows? Well, you're never going to make me very happy. I'm curious.

Mathew:

No, you're not Definitely all the all the workers that are struggling with the, you know, have an extra time to drive and and park and get shuttled and all this stuff. They're never. They're never going to see the benefits of this. I mean, I think they got the benefits because the culinary union got the raise, so that's the benefits they. They're going to see out of it long term. But all the money that's coming in, that's that's going right in the casinos and the gaming and the, the restaurants and the shops that's.

Joe:

I feel like those are the. Let's see.

Mathew:

I mean, with the price drops the hotel rooms have Just dropped drastically, but so welcome to the yeah, I mean they over they oversold it big time they did, and for sure you know. Now it's come down to more realistic numbers.

Joe:

You're an effortless Derek Golf. With that said, some beater is going to drop oil on the track, which exactly that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah.

Mathew:

I can't, I can't imagine them allowing.

Joe:

They said they're doing it. Every day traffic to, they said they're doing it.

Jeremy:

So what's the over under on? A drunk, confused tourist with like an Eiffel Tower drink, like wandering around the track in the middle of the race.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah Well.

Dan:

I have to be awesome.

Joe:

Climbers, it's there's going to be some. They just stopped at fucking adult superstore with a bottle of fucking water based lubricant. He's just going to fucking go into the air as to meet some escort.

Mathew:

He's walking in the pits trying to sell some to the race teams.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we'll see.

Joe:

Drop some fucking corn nuggets on it and disaster.

Mathew:

So I, joe, and I went with Mark it's like I'm saying to a night's game. The other night the king for in town and the nights didn't show up and it was not fun hanging out with a night Kings fan watching our team get to crap me down of them.

Joe:

But but it was. But it might be the nicest Kings fan that is out there.

Mathew:

Oh yeah, I mean it was. It was fun hanging out with him and good seats. Thanks, favs, for the seats it was. You know I have never sat on the lower bowl behind our net, so that was. That was a good experience. But one thing that really kind of surprised me I don't know if I got spoiled with where I was sitting at the games last year, where I didn't see a lot of the traffic that goes up and down the rows. Holy crap, I cannot believe how much movement takes place, not only in the hockey game, but Dan and I were at the Raider game last night and it is nonstop people walking up and down the rows.

Speaker 5:

It's like it's sit down and get their modellos.

Mathew:

Sit down and watch the game for five minutes I could. I mean, I saw the same people all night long going up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down. And it's hilarious because Della refill. The more often you saw them, the drunker they were and it's it's pretty hilarious trying to watch these people navigate steps and yeah, I don't know what I did when? when did going down on the left side of the aisle become a thing? Don't you go down on the right, you come up on the right, down on the right, up on the right.

Joe:

You see, it's on the left and it's like it's like four rows down maybe.

Mathew:

I could not believe it. And then there's how many, how many seats. Were you thinking our road? And before halfway?

Dan:

20. At least probably closer to 30.

Mathew:

Yeah, so the people in the middle, of course they were the ones that had to get up and and go to the bathroom and get a drink and stretch their legs every 10 fucking minutes. And the guy is the guy in front of us. It was. It was funny because he his wife was a Raider fan. You could tell he was just not. Could you tell, dan, did you pick up on that at all? The guy in front of us, yeah, he, yeah. He did not care what was going on, like everybody get up and third down in cheer and he's just sitting there. And at the end of the night he wasn't even getting up to let people by, he was just moving his legs.

Speaker 5:

He was like I stood up 50 times.

Dan:

He sat down during the anthem to. I noticed that.

Mathew:

Oh, really I didn't.

Dan:

Yeah, he said, he just sat there too, so I was like OK.

Jeremy:

Was there? Was there a ton of Jets fans? No Well, there was like on TV.

Mathew:

There was a good contingency, but not nearly as much as what I expected.

Dan:

Yeah, the same, because almost every game you know they're the other teams fans are outnumbering the Raider fans, but not this one.

Mathew:

Yeah, there was. It was definitely a good vibe. You know, this is my first Raider game that I've been to at Allegiant. It was, it was fun, it was entertaining it's. It doesn't have the entertainment value I think that the nights have, but it's it's. You know, it's on a much grander scale. There's a lot of people in there. I still don't understand how they didn't figure out the bathrooms, because there's a 20 minute wait to go to the bathroom any time in between quarters or at halftime, which is just ridiculous. The lines are ever long, but you think they'd be able to figure that out by now. I mean it's, it's 2023.

Joe:

Um, just just they just kind of take the old troughs from San Boi and just put them in there, and God no with the ice.

Mathew:

I was telling Dan that we used to go to the. We used to go down to the age to, as you, and watch your own mute again, joe, and hear anything you're saying.

Joe:

No, I know, I know OK.

Mathew:

Oh, all right. So I tell it, dan, we, we used to go down to the age you, the Arizona, watched the Cowboys play in Arizona, because they were in the same division, and so we go down there to the home game every year, and they had the, the dual, the dual troughs, where you faced each other which that.

Joe:

Yeah, that's, yeah, that's yeah, yeah, that's a face to face with your own, your own.

Mathew:

How are you doing buddy Good game huh, Welcome to the game.

Joe:

How's it hanging?

Mathew:

fella. Yeah, but it was, it was a good fight. I was watching the highlights today through YouTube TV, which has got the key plays feature, which is really nice. You can go to any game that was on, watch it hit key plays and it just shows you the highlights. And so I was watching because I wanted to see that fumble that they, when he was down but they didn't overrule. And Watching it on TV, and then what? And being there, football is a big play. Sport, the little plays are mundane and nothing crazy, but a big play happens and the place is electric and I that's that's what people are going. You know I used to go to a lot of the NFL games in Arizona and you know we were always just drunk, having a good time and just they're cheering on our team. So last night I was kind of watching it from a different perspective and it's it's those big plays. When those big plays like that, when that interception happened, it was insane and you know the end of the game the, the, the jets knocking down the road Was was hilarious. It just super crazy entertainment where hockey is. It's so action packed and so just constant. You have to be paying attention all the time to see what's going on and know what's going on. And football, you can kind of I don't want to dumb it down, but you can kind of be a dumb fan and just be drunk and be there and everybody starts cheering. You start cheering, you don't know why, and OK, now I do.

Joe:

Yeah yeah. I've been to a few football games in person live, specifically Charter's games, and they're fun to go to, but nothing, nothing beats hockey live and no sport beats hockey live. It's not a single sport that's better than hockey. I've been to basketball games. I've been to baseball games, football games golf tournaments, the what drag races? Yeah, I went to NASCAR, I went to Daytona 500.

Mathew:

Not NASCAR as a drag races.

Joe:

That's some red neck stuff. I have not been to one of those, but I have been in NASCAR 500.

Mathew:

We need to go to drag stuff.

Joe:

Yeah, I'm blast Better than hockey.

Mathew:

Well, the thing that's amazing about the drag races is you, and especially now that there's four lanes at the strip, you've got all that horsepower going off at once. It just it shakes you from the inside. It's unlike anything you've ever experienced in your life.

Speaker 5:

And I, there's just too much time in between races.

Mathew:

That's my problem.

Joe:

Exactly. And there's downs, there's too many down, there's too much downtime. In most sports hockey there's 15 minutes, breaks twice and then the rest of it is go. Yeah, nothing beats hockey. Sorry, I agree.

Mathew:

I agree with that. I can agree with that. All right, so got Netflix.

Joe:

Now that you've tuned in to ESPN radio.

Mathew:

Hey, we cover all kinds of things on this show the last event of the PGA tour, the last event of the wrap around, the last event of the FedEx fall. It's all coming to a head in its Sea Island, right, yeah, that we're there at playing two different courses and then they'll play one course over the weekend. Last chance for the guys to get it. How about Camilo Viegas? Nine year hiatus and gets a win? Yeah, Good for him.

Joe:

Switch to a lap putter.

Mathew:

Yeah.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, not going to do it. There's something to him. I can't do it, but there's something to him, I think Something to him.

Mathew:

Well, I put a new shaft in Stephen Jackson's the blade, the new lab blade butter form, and so I was rolling in the backyard and I mean, it feels good, it feels good, and when I, when I tagged them in that post, they were quick to send me a message letting me know that when you alter the shaft it changes the tuning. If you want to make sure all your customers know that, and then, if they want to send it to us, we can make the adjustment for them. So that was a little bit of information, but all those weights and everything, apparently you know affects.

Joe:

Well, it's a, it's a lab, so there's a lab there and they probably labify the waiting, you know. So makes sense. Is it center center?

Jeremy:

shaft yes, blade Is it? Yeah, yeah.

Joe:

It's like a short, like plumber neck yeah Hmm.

Mathew:

Not a big short, but it felt. It felt good. I rolled in the backyard for a while and it feels good.

Joe:

I forget who I was talking to, but it's like that big old heart shaped UFO and yeah UFO, like, like I could never play that, but every time I've rolled it like I roll it. Well, you know, but it's just like do you want to see a fucking like queen sized pillow sticking out of your golf bag? I don't.

Mathew:

Joe doesn't like a mallet cover. He doesn't know Doesn't like a no, mallet covers.

Jeremy:

A key that's literally the only reason I don't play a mallet, because, like, maybe if they made it?

Joe:

maybe if they made it like a quick connect, where you could just throw the head in your bag and then you just pop it into the shaft like a quick connect, like OK, it's time to put.

Mathew:

You wear your platter on your hip like the rangefinder.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, you just put the shaft in your bag and they throw like a little like a sock over it and then you pull the head out and just you know that'd be the advertisement Click it and put

Mathew:

it.

Jeremy:

Click it and put it.

Joe:

Click it and put it yeah, it's going in the hole, love it.

Speaker 5:

Oh, love it and put it. Love it, click it.

Dan:

Oh man Isn't the isn't the lab putter of what Adam Scott's rolling right now?

Mathew:

that blue thing, yes, or is that something different? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what Camille said, that Adam gave him some insights on it and I know his interview after the round was really good. You know he was talking about how he was about ready to go to stage two of the Cornfairy Q school and you know, and he's like, hey, you know Cornfairy is great it's. You know, it's the second best tour, it's a ton of good golfers and, yeah, I've won before and I've got some exemptions for previous champions, but you know I'm not playing well and so that's where I was going, so I'm pumped for this. It was good to good to hear him chat about that. Yeah, yeah, he's in the Masters.

Dan:

Yeah, yeah, I saw a homo one, that was. That was good.

Jeremy:

He played well, well yeah, I was wondering why JT and home I went was on like an African safari together and then I saw they both played in the tournament which first time ever.

Joe:

I thought it was funny, it's like like Max Homo probably like has dreamed of this like the spotlight Well, not necessarily spotlight, but to be like close to the best golfers in the world right now. He's like hanging out in Africa with Justin Thomas. Like he's probably got to feel like pretty cool.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Joe:

Yeah.

Dan:

Yeah he's, he's there he's it's got a good social media game too.

Mathew:

He does and it keeps him.

Dan:

He does, it keeps him pretty popular, you know yeah.

Mathew:

Who is, is it? Yeah, I think it's Kim. I said Kim that does a lot on Twitter, jeremy, you would know. I'm sorry I can't remember who it was, but I was. I dove deep into his Twitter but he was had some downtime and was doing a Q&A and just was answering everybody's questions and I was like damn, this is phenomenal. I have to find out who that was.

Speaker 5:

Again, it really gets tax.

Mathew:

Oh sorry.

Jeremy:

On X X. Yeah, no, Michael, thank you.

Mathew:

Thanks, kevin. Yeah, michael Kim, ok, really good content he was. He was talking about. It was talking about, like, when he gets your paycheck, how does that come in, how do you pay your caddies, and just all kinds of like in-depth tour stuff, asking them you know how often are you playing and he was, you know, just casual rounds. He's like never. It's all work now, and just some really good insight. So check out his his Twitter feed if you want. And thanks for that. It's cool. Yeah, yeah, good, good stuff, good stuff.

Speaker 5:

Okay, Panther.

Joe:

National. You see it. Did you see the renderings of Panther National? Yes, I did, pretty sick yeah.

Dan:

JT Nicholas course, jt's Nicholas course. Yep, sick, pretty sick.

Mathew:

And that's in Florida. You said yeah, Florida.

Joe:

I think it's just above Palm Beach.

Dan:

Yeah, florida's, florida's coming through with some top quality golf right now.

Joe:

Yeah, there was some bangers. Bangers versus playing Bush.

Mathew:

Bushwood the caddy check course. You got to invite to play it and I said I go, didn't that. I thought that was place was a do track and and said I swear I saw an article where they were saying that you know, bushwood is not a private course by any means. But he said that now it's, it's different now and it's it's a pretty nice club. So you got an invite to play there.

Joe:

Yeah, there's a lot of shit popping down there, like Michelle Bay, obviously, panther National Grove 23, like Citrus Farm, and you go, you go Google Maps on that place and it's just like golf course homes for a couple blocks. Golf course homes for a block, just pop it yeah, especially north of Miami there where those guys are.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah.

Joe:

That can then TGL, tg, right, tgl, or TSL, tgl, tgl.

Jeremy:

Yeah, that's going to be a tiger golf, like there too.

Dan:

Yeah.

Joe:

Yeah.

Mathew:

It's, it's popping, all right. So did you guys see the new, the drivers that hit the conforming list today?

Joe:

Yeah, which one are you buying, Uh? Where do you trade an import?

Mathew:

No, I had a 16 gram weight fit in the new Taylor made that you just purchased.

Joe:

Oh no.

Speaker 5:

The tailor made is the.

Jeremy:

QI. What is it QI?

Dan:

QI 10, which.

Speaker 5:

Someone posted a picture of Rory he's been using using it and it looks pretty cool, really good.

Jeremy:

Yeah, the face looks great.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just think it's going to have the same Taylor made shape, which is why.

Jeremy:

I'm going to go with the new Taylor made shape, which is why I just don't have one. But I don't know. I think it's just going to like everything else Taylor made puts out. It's going to look the same, just with a different paint job. Yeah, the ping one. I don't get the ping one. It's like the 10 K. I don't know what the difference is, in that the PXG looked exactly like the ping Cobra.

Dan:

Yeah. Cobra two versions yeah, cobra's Cobra, cobra is Cobra.

Joe:

It's going to have some resemblance to a snake, yeah.

Dan:

Yeah, ricky Alexi will be playing.

Mathew:

Yeah, arrow speed, arrow speed. So those are the first ones that hit, I'm sure there'll be more coming in the next couple of weeks. No the.

Joe:

Kirkland, one came out too. Oh Joe, let's, let's get your feedback on the yellow.

Mathew:

Kierkeballs yeah, I did buy, I did buy.

Joe:

Yeah, I did buy. I did buy a 24 pack of the Kirkies 24 gallon buckets full of yellow golf balls.

Mathew:

Yeah.

Joe:

I mean $28 to buy some golf balls for 24 golf balls is a pretty good deal, but I played it the first two holes. When we played out Boulder Muny first hole it seemed like it worked okay for the most part. Second hole, I just saw it just dive straight out of the air and it knows dive hard. I tossed it from the green into the chipping area and that was it. Grab, some shriks on the bag and that's what I played. So it was a little chewed up like not not massively, but I also there's no, there's no like rocks out there. So it shouldn't have been as chewed up as it was, for sure.

Mathew:

You hit fairway, fairway, you hit the fairway fairway, fairway green.

Joe:

One putt birdie pulled it into the sand on hole one. On the second one went behind the green, chipped it up.

Dan:

It was probably yeah, and it was cut up, so you have 23 golf balls for sale, for that's what I told them, yeah well, my whole thing was is all my golf balls in the backyard and putting green in my practice area in the back yard, or old and sunworn.

Joe:

So I'm trying to replace those and and throw those out there in the back.

Mathew:

Special edition 23 box, 23 balls Kirkland and one yet white Provy one.

Joe:

The first hole, it seemed like it played really well, and then the second hole. Just it just did not.

Mathew:

That was the weirdest ball flight.

Joe:

I've ever seen you hit. Yeah, it was just like yeah, I pulled it for sure, like which, and there was like no spin off the tee, like even my first hole, my first drive, like it didn't cut as much as I thought it was going to, just kind of stayed straight and kind of fell a little to the right. Second one I was like I hit that off the heel and it just stayed straight left. So I don't know, you know, there's people that like him out there and maybe it's different from the white one. I don't know, because obviously there's different elements to my golf, yeah it, you know if you're going to lose a lot of balls, if you're, if you're a ball loser, then you know obviously it's worth it. Only want to change your ball, you know so. But, yeah, yeah it, just it just. It was just. It just seemed odd. It seemed to change characteristics so fast that I was like I can't trust this ball, you know yeah, I played. The LA wanted to, I wanted to like it because cheap and it's very affordable. But it just it just switched up on me so fucking fast that I can't do it.

Mathew:

Yeah, so this was my third outing with the LA golf balls. I played it at Legacy and National and then at Boulder City, muney, and played one ball the whole day and I mean it maybe one or two small little scuffs on it, but nothing that would have me not, you know, putting it in play. That's a really good golf ball, it's.

Joe:

it's expensive and I don't recommend anybody in the spectrum, right yeah yeah, I don't recommend.

Mathew:

if you're somebody that is going through a sleeve and a half of balls around, do not spend $70 on that golf ball. But if you're somebody that can play a ball for 18 holes, it's. The cover on is really durable, it feels great and all all facets you know chipping, putting, driving, long irons it's, it's. It's a good golf ball.

Jeremy:

Yeah, I look brand new and you showed it to me on like hole 16.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, if you don't lose a lot of golf balls. It could be the one for you.

Mathew:

Yeah, check it out. If you come across some, you know it's good, it's a good ball to check out.

Jeremy:

Dan, if you, let's say, you play a ball for 18 holes, do you throw it back in the bag and use it again, or do you use a new ball every round?

Dan:

Um, I wouldn't say I use a new ball every round. I'd probably, I'd probably throw it back in my bag regardless. But, um, yeah, I mean it would get you a new ball every round, it would get used eventually. But I hardly ever play with one ball in 18 holes anymore. Yeah, so we'll see. Yeah, that makes me think.

Jeremy:

I, yeah, same thing. But I sometimes I'll, I'll, I'll have a collection of like old balls in my bag that I've got scuffs and whatever on and I kind of play them and I don't really think about it. But I sort of wonder after reading about I think I saw a video somewhere about putting with a ball that is dirty or like something on the green how much it affects the way it rolls on the green. I never really thought about that much but like a scuff, like if you bounce off the cart path and or hit a tree or something, how much it actually affects the ball flight, the role, all that. But I'm the same, I don't I, if a ball's in there and it looks clean and sort of new, I'll play it.

Dan:

It also kind of depends to like what it is Like if we're playing like in a tournament, you know or there's some cash on the line or something like that, and yeah, I'll. You know I'll play a new one for a tournament, but you know I'm just fucking around with the homies. Just reach in and grab it. Whatever comes out, that's what I'm playing.

Joe:

Yeah, see, I bring a new sleeve every round.

Jeremy:

For the most part, yeah, notice that about you.

Joe:

Yeah, and then if it's, if it's a little scuff, I just throw it in there, and then it becomes one of those like playing Let me try, your driver, I'm gonna hit yeah.

Jeremy:

Yeah, matt, do you use a new ball every round?

Mathew:

I like to start with a new ball and then if I lose one, or if it gets scuffed up or anything, then I'll just go to the bag and grab something that's in there. I like to start with a new one, just to have that, you know, that freshy, that freshy on that first swing. Yeah, not that it means much, but be lately.

Joe:

But yeah, it's like a like a fresh roll on the speed stick.

Mathew:

Not all the way down to the plastic.

Joe:

But what was that? What was that deodorant? It's gone now, right, mitcham.

Dan:

Mitcham member. Mitcham, the speed stick. Yeah, with the green cap. Yeah, yeah, it's gone. I could never do the rollerball once, because I always get like an armpit hair stuck in it and like pull it out.

Speaker 5:

But fuck this sucks.

Jeremy:

I remember the deodorant commercials and it's like a closeup of an armpit with like yeah, it's like the most awkward looking ever slowly, slowly rolling in like a mannequin with hair. Always found that disturbing. What?

Speaker 5:

I don't know where that came from, yeah.

Mathew:

Oh God, you guys are awesome. Oh, so anybody going to have one, anybody going at all?

Speaker 5:

No, we're at the no, just going to watch it on ESPN.

Mathew:

Yeah, we're not going Nobody's going to the wind to watch the Netflix Cup, so that'll be another thing that's on TV. Hey, shout out. You got back here. You know the rebels first place. You and LV rebels beat Wyoming. They've got a big game this weekend against the Air Force First place tie right now in the division. They win this game pretty much can lock it up for the Mountain West Championship, which, holy crap, I can't believe those words like orotated out of my mouth right now Still unbelievable.

Jeremy:

Very you know, some.

Mathew:

Yeah, he's doing some amazing things.

Speaker 5:

Crazy, crazy turn around.

Mathew:

Crazy turn. I mean they. They should have at least tied the game against Ferdinand State. I don't want to say that they should have won, but you know three turnovers to start the third quarter and they were whooping their ass. So that one's tough. And then the other loss was to Michigan. You know just one of the best teams in the country. So they're they're having a pretty good season. Excited about that. So that game is on Saturday. Anybody got golf plans this weekend? You? Know, playing the spring.

Joe:

Saturday Playing prim Sunday Playing prim Sunday.

Mathew:

Yeah, nice, I think I'm playing Wild Horse with Woody on Saturday.

Dan:

Nice.

Mathew:

You're going to have to play with your. It's a long time.

Joe:

Chris Torres hit me up and asked if I want to jump in on that. So I'm going to play play out there, because I'm curious to see what it's looking like.

Mathew:

Yeah, it did. I'll See if I can bring this up here real quick, show you guys this. You may have seen it, you may not have seen it because it was on discord.

Joe:

But See, definitely didn't see it then.

Mathew:

Yeah, check, check this out.

Joe:

Oh this Kevin, look South Shore on Friday and so high on Saturday. What a lineup it's you? Yeah?

Mathew:

So I'll read this to you when it says hi, matthew, thank you for your interest in. Let's see where May is peak season and Saturdays, as you know, were the busiest days. The rate for a block of 15 to 16 tea times for Saturday, may 4th is 279 per player. Wow, there's a prearranged food minimum of $35 per player. This rate would be at any time of the day, as we historically sell out rack rate from 7 am to 2 30 that weekend. The few local groups that we host play in July or August when rates are lower. The resident rate applies only to individual tea time bookings up to five days in advanced in peak season, 14 days in off season.

Dan:

What the fuck.

Mathew:

This is the nonsense that I'm dealing with.

Joe:

I guess who? Who said that?

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, I guess Two 79.

Mathew:

And in May plus a thirty five dollar person per food. So this this before adding, before adding a prize, purse and fees for collecting the credit cards, that is, you know, three hundred and fifteen dollars. Is that real Seiko?

Joe:

That's what I would have thought, yeah. Yeah Well, I feel like they're the only ones that would do some shit like that Wow.

Mathew:

And so everybody in the VGN and to our new members that may be listening, if you wonder why we have not booked a tournament at Rio Seiko, that is the reason, because I don't think any of you are going to pay three seventy five to be in a VGN tournament at Rio Seiko Absurd. Yeah, god bless them If they're getting racked Highway robbery.

Dan:

Oh yeah.

Joe:

Well, they must be getting it yeah.

Mathew:

And, and I mean they must be. They must be because this is the second year in a row right Third year in a row.

Speaker 5:

Third year in a row there's some belly high prices yeah.

Mathew:

I was talking with Trey and I'm like, and you know it's reasons, it's because of this, because of these type of actions that golf courses are doing, while why places like Angel Park can go. We want one forty a player. Yeah, yeah, because they know they know everybody else is higher, so I will ask for it and see if we get it. Yeah, just crazy.

Joe:

It's not, it's bad.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Joe:

I'm not, I'm not paying that to play Rio Seiko. Not, no, not any weather, not any condition. No, like you're not, you're not. Look, I love Rio Seiko, like it's a very fun course to play, great course. But you're not, you're not like a destination golf course, like at at that price, higher holders, that's.

Mathew:

That's what they're banking on them in Casca. You know they just.

Joe:

Yeah, but I mean Treat, treat locals with respect. I mean you're, I don't know, we can go on this forever, but you know I'd rather drive four hours to go play wherever. I mean Quintero or something you know right Just not worth it? Yeah, not worth it.

Mathew:

It's sad because I love that place, man, I love it. It's just it's not. It's sorry, it's. It's not a three hundred dollar, golf course it's not what's their rate in the summer they, you know when they're scrounging for players and trying to get people out there.

Joe:

It's a hundred dollars. Yeah, you can. You can please join us.

Mathew:

Please come out.

Joe:

You can get money through Thursday after a tea time. Yeah, monday through Thursday after 11 for 6575 bucks, we'll include lunch.

Mathew:

Yeah yeah, can't beat the paper plate chef salad at BC Muney With a metal for metal force.

Joe:

I don't know what to do with the plate.

Jeremy:

Yeah, yeah, like I'd rather all day.

Mathew:

I'd rather go play BC Muney for fifty dollars and get a fucking paper plate salad for eleven dollars.

Joe:

Yeah, I mean, I was very glad.

Speaker 5:

It's.

Mathew:

it's great, because I mean Everybody knows I've been a big fan and I've been a big fan of everybody knows I've been a big fan and have a love for Rio Seco. It's a fun ass gray golf course. But if I had an opportunity to play Rio Seco for two, seventy, nine or Boulder City Muney for fifty, I'm going to take Boulder City Muney because one that's saving me a lot of money and is the golf that much better Rio Seco? I mean you have some cool.

Joe:

Also, it's a better, it's like a better vibe, like, it's like you feel, you feel welcomed out at Boulder City, muney. To, at that same point, you know, like, and even to even go one step further, like Coyote Springs is probably a better golf course than Rio Seco. And it's what? Eighty dollars, a hundred dollars max, yeah, like speaking of Coyote Springs.

Dan:

I heard they got a new head pro.

Mathew:

I did see that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, unlv.

Jeremy:

Oh yeah, yeah, he was at Cascada before, I think.

Joe:

Yep, yeah. Hopefully that doesn't translate to Cascada like prices, but no, I don't think you guys only been charging a hundred dollars, we can get three fifty.

Mathew:

What Come on?

Joe:

I don't think Coyote will ever get too ridiculous, because they need to get people out there.

Dan:

It's, it's a track you know, I hope they bring back those tournaments that they used to have yeah, the two man's and the four man's scramble.

Speaker 5:

They were fun.

Mathew:

Those were a lot of fun yeah especially because Jeremy and I did some damage. Carl needs to get those going out at Munion.

Joe:

I know what you're doing out there. Yeah, I thought yeah.

Jeremy:

Yeah, totally, we used to clean them out of ProView on X's.

Speaker 5:

We'd leave with like twenty dozen.

Jeremy:

Those were good times.

Mathew:

Oh, Great way. Anybody got anything else that you want to get in? Why we can. Oh yeah, oh yeah, Joe got some new feral's.

Joe:

Hopefully these ones don't spin.

Mathew:

Joe got some new shot. I told him they showed up.

Joe:

Joe, there was, yeah, there was a. There was a option that said one without bearings, so I got the one without bearing. So if they don't spin, yeah, they did show up.

Mathew:

He asked me if I had prepped their person out the because? Did you prep the shaft? Yet I said if, if I touch those shafts, you're getting a paypal invoice.

Dan:

Yeah, yeah, he was cursing out the post office Like we got the worst fucking post office terrible.

Speaker 5:

Over there, it's Saturday.

Dan:

They've had my feral's, and Saturday they're holding them hostage.

Joe:

So it still says on my tracking that they weren't delivered. But I was like I'll just stop by the mailbox to see if they're there. And sure enough they're in there. So, yeah, I'm excited New shaft, new groups, new ferals and if shafts going to change your life, bro.

Dan:

we'll see, We'll see. I mean, I've heard that from fucking what five people.

Joe:

Now We'll see, but if you're not, where? If you're not, if you don't have BB and F, go ferals on your golf clubs. Do it? Get some personnel in your, in your bag.

Dan:

You know spinners on your clubs, Throw some fucking the trails on their bitch.

Joe:

That was fair.

Dan:

I was still spinning when I stopped there.

Joe:

I still spin in on my, my, my putts.

Dan:

Oh.

Mathew:

I'm never going to go down, so we're still swimming in my finish. Swimming in my there was still spins in my finish. All right, I think that does it for this week, everybody.
