Speaker 1:

What is up Instagram? Oh wait, no, that's not right. What's up everybody? Welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight podcast man. You can see from the YouTube intro it is blazing hot in Vegas. This is some insane weather. We've been talking about how nice it's been. Well, it's not nice anymore. It's hot, hot, hot hot. You guys got in some golf. We'll chat about that in a minute. My wife sprung a staycation on me and I didn't know I was invited. The WNBA All Star Game was in town and there's the three-point contest and the skills challenge on Friday and the game on Saturday. She booked one of the little timeshare places that we have, the carriage house down there by Plain Hollywood. I didn't know I was invited. I found out Wednesday that Thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, we were staying there. I got to experience not the best site of Vegas, I guess you could say. I love walking around the strip and seeing people and checking everything out. But, man, when it's that hot out, people get crazy. They get crazy. I mean the yard-long margaritas from Fat Tuesdays, which, by the way, there's a Fat Tuesday every 100 feet in Vegas, if you're ever in the, if not an imitator yeah, if you have a desire for some slushy alcohol, it's readily available. Yeah, people act crazy, act crazy. Some guy was handing out CDs of his music. I said, no, I'm cool, he's like what? Because I'm black. And I was like, whoa, yeah, they're not handing those out.

Speaker 2:

They're trying to get them in your hands so you purchase them from them. They're not free.

Speaker 1:

And I turned around and just drank up a conversation with them. It's going to be like no, it's because you're handing out a CD. Those haven't been around for a decade now.

Speaker 2:

How about a flash drive?

Speaker 1:

I don't have a CD player in my car anymore. Come on, can you give me a jump drive please? He was already gone. And then the other crazy thing I told you guys about this that we saw, by the way, the All Star Game was great. All the festivities, everything was great. Erica and Emma, they had court-side seats for the three-point contest and everything. She had an absolute blast. My wife, that is, is a big women's basketball fan, so really happy that she had a great time, much deserved, and equally she had a good time at the All Star Game. But as we were, we went to Holsteins at Cosmo and ate there afterwards which, wow, fantastic food. But as we were walking from there over to the Bellagio, one of the street performers I can just describe him as a man singing to music, wearing a mirrored tuxedo. He had mirrors from head to toe over his body and this fentanyl cracked out, homeless lady gets up and says you're not going to play any of that shit on my beat and walked over and kicked his tip bucket and then he unloaded the cleanest right hook I had seen in a long time and just leveled her.

Speaker 2:

Leveled her, which was what you said right in front of you right.

Speaker 1:

She got up and was in front of me walking and I heard her say it and I was like, oh, this ain't going to be good. And then she kicked the bucket. And she may have kicked the bucket after that too, because she dropped like a dead fish and did not move. And I was like, wow, that really happened right in front of us. So I told the kids I'm like no, that jock that down, that's not something you see every day. But don't be kicking street performers buckets. I mean, just let them be that's their livelihood, man. Let them entertain, and there are a lot of them. The whole Times Square Marvel people that are out going crazy trying to get people to take pictures with them has come to Vegas. So that's, you got a handful of those people. There's the street performers, the showgirls, the wannabe showgirls out there. Trying to get people to take pictures with them is insane and, like some of them, don't need to be out there.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, my favorite. Every time we go there it's like you guys want a family picture.

Speaker 2:

We're like no, probably not actually.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, though we're like whoever, just you know, we're getting ready to sit in there, getting ready to watch the Fountains, and this lady, she comes up and she's like hey, honey, you want a picture to the guy standing next to me? And he's like, no, no, I'm okay. And she goes oh, come on. You know you're looking at my butt and his wife goes. I guarantee you he wasn't. And I'm like, oh shit.

Speaker 4:

We just saw one altercation.

Speaker 1:

But yeah man it's a different place. If you're eight months pregnant, kind of put the showgirl want to take a photo with me off for a couple of weeks, you know Wow.

Speaker 2:

I'm so happy that we all live in like the Manila Bay or stratosphere, like we're at the end, you know, since most people think that we all live on the strip.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, you know we live in hotels, but wow yeah, unreal. So that that was my weekend. I didn't get much golf. I am thrilled that US team of Mia, my shaft, showed up today. A little reel out there today with the wedges. Got the wedges dialed in now Very happy about that, without chipping with them in the backyard. Very excited to get those in the bag, as well as the four iron the new level four iron to match my five through pitching wedge.

Speaker 2:

So I'm pretty chef's, what UST shafts is it? Is it the new ones? The the version.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the Dart V is the 105. It's a it's a 105 wedge profile, so it's it's. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I have the.

Speaker 4:

Dart V's in all, in all your clubs right. Well, all the irons.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, four through what? Four through all my wedges, cool Yep.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I definitely start need need to start digging through some new iron shafts, I think personally. So, yeah me, I did go up to club champion with Julie in that one day. And one of those steel shafts the NS pro, whichever one it is I have a picture of it, but it felt like it could work out for me. But yeah, modus, but I'd be, I'd be really curious to try those UST's because they're it the profile it's. It's crazy, like I hit yours before and it feels way stiffer and way heavier than it's stamped. It is very different compared to the recoils of years past, maybe maybe a Rick will send me his, because we all know that he's not putting those in any golf clubs.

Speaker 1:

Well, he did, he did go to the range.

Speaker 2:

I know he just took some. Iowasker or something I don't know.

Speaker 1:

No, I think, yeah, I think you should try them. I definitely think you should try them, especially since it goes up to 120. Yeah, which the I'm not sure the recall I think the recall is just went to 110.

Speaker 2:

The 15, I think 115. Okay. Think yeah, yeah, but 120 and those probably be really good for me.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I think it would be fantastic because I think that's what Greenlee has in his, in those what he was building. So, yeah, jeremy's having problems tonight, so probably bank robbery that cashed out his internet.

Speaker 2:

Do we, do we know what happened with that?

Speaker 1:

I didn't find anything out. I had limited internet use.

Speaker 2:

I don't like joining Wi-Fi's at hotels when we stay just because with the new show when they host black hat conventions over there.

Speaker 1:

Do you say Manila Bay, right? No, no, no. No, we didn't stay there, we stayed at the carriage house. Oh, that's right. Yeah, it's a little time it's. It's between Planet Hollywood and the Marriott. It's a little small, little seven story little building though, but it's got a nice pool and you can walk there.

Speaker 2:

So good view of Topgolf.

Speaker 1:

No, because you got the signature towers behind it, so we're sandwiched between them, but you can see the nets. But, oh, dude, harmon, holy crap, because we picked Erica up at the airport and she says that I want to go by. I think it's called unconscious cookies. Have you heard of them? I have not heard of them. It's over there where Shaq's chicken restaurant is on.

Speaker 2:

You're talking about insomniac.

Speaker 1:

Insomniac cookies.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, inconcious cookies.

Speaker 1:

We infused Same thing, so we swung in there and then it took us probably an hour hour and 15 minutes to go from paradise and Harmon to cobalt and Harmon.

Speaker 2:

Wow yeah, in fact, I slept in that parking lot for five nights one time, which were insomniac cookies is.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

I slept on the ground like, literally like the you know the guys you saw by Popeyes on Flamingo in Maryland. I slept in that parking lot on a blanket on the cement for five nights one time.

Speaker 1:

Why.

Speaker 2:

I came out for shoes. Well, when I lost my job, that's how I was making my money was just camping out for shoes and flipping. Flipping the shoes for money Back in 2008.

Speaker 1:

Was it worth it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I sold a couple of shoes for, you know, $1,000, you know and they cost like 150.

Speaker 4:

Was that the Nike Yeezys or whatever? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeezys, yeah, I did, I did, that was the store was selling them undefeated. It's right there, like two stores down from insomniac cookies. It should still be there. I was, susie was right there, but they closed down. But yeah, we were in the newspaper and everything like they came by took pictures of us, like we saw a dude get tased in the parking lot and a bunch of crazy shit. It was good, it's fun. I mean, it's a long time to go, but it was fun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the F1 paving and all that shit are tearing up oh crap. Coval was down. What screwed it all up is the idiots that are like trying to sneak up on the left turn lane and then cut over, yeah. And then there's people that go into the barricaded section and try and sneak in, and so you got no traffic moving and three people. It's just insane. And then the cops sitting across the street with his arms full to watching it all Like good Lord, all right, we're gaining people on YouTube and then we're dropping them because we're not talking about golf, clearly. That's why, hey, it's a Vegas podcast and you know, anytime we get some Vegas chatter, we're going to, we're going to go off on it for a little bit. So moral of the story is leave the street performers alone. Don't come to Vegas when it's 118.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah and yeah, don't look at really two times in the summer, because that's that's for us.

Speaker 1:

Yes, please, you want to talk about flat tires.

Speaker 2:

That. Yeah, that is a pretty funny story I mean. Jeremy was present, so what happened to me?

Speaker 4:

I don't know. So just just a second. So I'm having some internet issues, so if I cut out I'm very sorry, but no problem. Basically we were headed to Coyote Springs and Dan and Dan offered to pick me up, so I took him up on it and we were headed out. And anyone who knows Dan knows he has a single cab pickup truck. We were heading out, we were almost to the speedway and we get a call from Bob and he says he's blown a tire out by the love station on the way to Coyote Springs. We're like okay, so we know if he has a spare. We're kind of talking about it the whole way. So we get there, he, he. We just threw it through all their stuff in the back of the truck and they rode in the back of Dan's truck in the bed. We were doing about 85 miles an hour to for about 30 more minutes to get to Coyote Springs. So we were kind of talking about it throughout the round and then we realized that the back of his truck is going to be about 200 degrees. Yeah when we got done, if not more, if not more. So we threw all of our stuff in the back and all four of us rode in a single cab pickup truck for about 40 minutes. Oh my gosh, I've never. I mean, I love the West Brothers. I think I love them a little more now. Colby's leg was on my lap and Bob was squeezed against Dan. It was crazy, but there wasn't much talking.

Speaker 1:

It was like I just want to get the hell out of it, but it was a funny story I think I'm most impressed about.

Speaker 4:

And now there's no doubt Bob is 100% committed to golf. He left his car there unlocked, didn't worry about it. It's called AAA called AAA when we were on the whole 15 and said we're going to be there in about an hour, can you send the tow truck? And we got there and the tow truck had already put the car on the back.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I talked to Bob when we played roads and he said it couldn't have worked out any better. He said that you guys were like 10, 15 minutes right behind them, so swooped him up and then by the time that you guys left Coyote Springs they were there already loaded up. When they got back to the car he went to the Ontario spot with the Mexican Tire Joint and it was like NASCAR, like quick done Super cheap and to the point.

Speaker 4:

So when we got done, dan asked, like when you just dropped him off so do you have a spare? I don't know, I didn't check the whole time. Maybe we should have checked if you had a spare. If some cars don't come with spares now, they just try to save weight and they just expenses. Who knows if it has a spare.

Speaker 2:

Either way it would work out.

Speaker 4:

It's a funny story.

Speaker 2:

Dan has helped me out with a flat tire myself to at Sienna. We played around out at Sienna and came back and my front right tire was just flat Just done. So me and Dan changed a flat tire in the Sienna parking lot. I tracked it over to the nearest Walmart and because discount tire was closed and yeah, dan has a history of flat tires, but he's usually one helping so that's okay, that's, that's a good thing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah Well, it all depends. Adam said nice hat Jeremy, he has one too, but doesn't own mirrors.

Speaker 4:

Kind of embarrassing, I own mirrors, but they're not currently in.

Speaker 1:

You don't play them. They're on the shelf right now.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're on a bench.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so did you play the mirrors at Coyote and Rhodes or the Tileless at both places?

Speaker 4:

Both places and I can tell you I do love the mirrors. The thing that I hate is the long irons are just. If I practiced a few times a week and you know, I think they'd be fine. But man just playing once a week or once every two weeks, it's really tough to look down at that for iron and confidently think I'm going to hit this well. So that's why I put the Tileless back in the back and they are so easy to hit. And I told Joe, like man, these clubs are so pure, they're awesome, you can just, you can just swing them and they just go where you want it to. But I do prefer the look of the mirrors. But I may try to find a more forgiving like a CB version of the long irons and throw those in the bag with the blades. But now Tileless are staying.

Speaker 2:

And you were telling me there's so many people throwing up three and fours and five irons.

Speaker 1:

There is a ton If they're finding out, they're just. Is it just not enough metal, you think? Or yeah, just precision.

Speaker 4:

It's just looking down there. I mean, hitting out of the fairway is pretty easy because you feel you can line it up, but hitting out of the some of the deep rough, it's just really hard to get it behind the ball, underneath the ball.

Speaker 1:

That's interesting, are you? Have you thought about just combo? And your title is with them?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I did that and they're just one of them is me OCD, but the other one is the Tileless, just looks so different. If maybe the CBs, if I had the title of CBs, they would work, but he 100s, they just feel too different, they don't look right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think if you're going to combo and you got to do the mirror combo like the CB is in the mirror.

Speaker 4:

Temporarily I could probably do it, and I do have the same exact shafts and same grips in both sets.

Speaker 2:

But you don't want to look at that in your bag, you don't want to look at two.

Speaker 1:

That's the other part I don't want to look at that. Yeah, that, that's a game changer for you.

Speaker 2:

You can't it is oh yeah, me and Jeremy were talking about this like the mallet, like I can't. We were talking about like we can't look at a mallet putter in our bag, like we don't like the way it looks in the back.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'd have no problem using one. Yeah, it's working well, but I cannot stand looking at a mallet head cover in a golf bag Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Same. Wow, I did not know that about you guys. Yeah, that's kind of silly.

Speaker 2:

It is silly, but it looks.

Speaker 1:

No, I mean everybody's got their own. You know vices and reasons why they don't do shit. So no disrespect, it's just. I find that really strange. I've never thought.

Speaker 2:

I know it's so, it's so weird, but it's like you know, like you look at your bag right, like driver is one thing, fairway Wood is one thing, Irons are one thing, wedges are one thing, putters one thing. But like to look at pitching wedge to four iron it's two different brands Like I feel like I would just feel like an asshole and like and that's just, that's just me, like I'm just looking at it and it's nobody would really care, right. But yeah, to me looking at it, I would feel like what the fuck am I doing? I'm an idiot, you know and then you see this I've used the blade putter forever. Like, obviously mallet putters have more M O, I and everything, and it's probably like it's more forgiving, for sure, 100%. But like to look at a mallet putter cover in my bag, I just feel like I'm a fucking piece of shit. I don't know why. I don't know why. Oh, wow so do you think I'm hanging when you?

Speaker 1:

look at my bag. No, no, no, all right, all right, all right.

Speaker 2:

You use what you want to, but if I saw that in my bag I'd be like I fucking need to figure out my life.

Speaker 4:

Oh my Lord. Yeah, that's a weird thing, because like most people play mallets and I don't even think about it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly, but if there's a mallet putter cover hanging over the edge of my golf bag, it's not completely uniform.

Speaker 1:

You got to.

Speaker 2:

I'm a fucking shithead.

Speaker 1:

You have to strategically place that you know in the bag.

Speaker 4:

So it is not a good thing for it.

Speaker 2:

Oh see the best place for it is on your practice screen. That's it.

Speaker 4:

Unless you're going to bags with a putter slot on the outside of the.

Speaker 2:

I am not, you get. You need the 14th for the 15th slot.

Speaker 1:

No, I agree with you on how odd mallet head covers are. The the one that came with the GT Max, the spider one. It's actually not that bad and it blends in with my bag really well. But that swag cover that I got from Anthony, it's really high quality and it looks. It's killer the way it looks. But I had it in the top of my bag and I just changed it and put it in the bottom of the bag, so all the clubs now cover it up so you can hardly even see it.

Speaker 4:

So see, I can't put my putter in the bottom slot of the bag.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it goes to the top, but yeah, he's my buddy. So I Fernando buddy, slash co worker he was. He is a big golfing, right like in our office we now putting green because he brought one in. There's like a bunch of clubs in there, there's some putters, but he has all. He had all stock head covers Right and I'm like I can't. I can't do stock head covers, you know so. So he just, he just affirmed a bunch of like Taylor made the LACC like the US Open ones. They look great, but he bought, bought one in the, the putter cover, the fairway woods. The driver spent a bunch of money on the covers for his clubs and I I hate to directly influence people in golf to purchase things, but I can't do stock head covers either. I can't look at that.

Speaker 1:

I don't have one stock cover that I've used.

Speaker 2:

They're all in my garage on the floor.

Speaker 1:

Well, you can eBay them. People buy them. You even believe how many people buy those things. Yeah, I had no idea. And then the like the stealth head cover that I got, I sold it like really fast. People buy those things like crazy. I have no idea why. Yeah, they look so nice though.

Speaker 4:

Some of them really do Like like someone look great, but did you see the crack and head cover from Dormey I? Did Holy shit.

Speaker 1:

That thing was impressive yeah.

Speaker 4:

Wow, really cool. I don't know if. I could use it, but I definitely think it's awesome.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it's almost like a piece of art. You just want to put it like.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I did see it. Yeah, I did see it.

Speaker 1:

Keep a wine bottle warm or something and just keep it on your shelf at work or so. I mean God Totally. I mean I've never seen anything like that before. That. That was crazy creative. They do some incredible work. Their baseball glove stuff was ridiculous back in the day though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and that's the thing is there's there's a lot of like really cool like custom brands out there like and you can customize your bag like to the fullest extent and to have a stealth tailor Cover on your bag, like I can't do it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, it doesn't bother me if other people have them on their bag.

Speaker 2:

No, no, yeah, no. I don't care if anybody else has it, but like for me, like it's got to be all something else.

Speaker 1:

All right, how was Coyote? Because Jeremy said something that was pretty pretty, you know. Yeah pretty Wow.

Speaker 4:

Was the best I've ever seen it. It's like, you know, when they post pictures of Coyote Springs, when it looks like like Brian Orr's pictures yes, it looks like that. Wow, it is really really nice. And they're doing some construction out there. As you're driving out to the range, they're like flattening out some of the dirt. They've got construction equipment out there which either they're building a new road or, their course, come on, second course Maybe.

Speaker 1:

Let's get the clubhouse where it's supposed to be. That too, yeah, let's start with that.

Speaker 4:

That'd be nice. But yeah, course looks incredible. The greens are really quick. Some of the holes are, and I mean the pins, every pin on that course that we put when we played. It was just tucked behind bunkers and they were impossible. But which is how it is there. The greens being fast just made it a little bit more difficult. But if you're, we need to go out there and play right now, like soon. Yeah, because it is incredible.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean obviously trust your opinion. We need to go play ASAP.

Speaker 1:

It's been a minute since I've been out there.

Speaker 2:

We were going like every week for a while.

Speaker 1:

It feels like, but Well, I I the same way about Paiou last week. It was a real, I did that. What? When do we?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I did that Tuesday yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so um, out there with Bob and and Colby and uh had early morning kind of early morning round, made yourself around in four hours. It was nice we were cruising and then kind of hit a wall of some slow players in front of us but uh, that was probably the best I've seen Paiou in a long time. It was from T to green, it was just pure. Yeah, I mean, it was so good, so good. It's so hard to, you know, compare because it's so good, so always good. Yeah, I mean, but we played it with. I mean, the grasshoppers last year was so annoying and they had eaten a lot of the grass and there was patchy areas and you know, sometimes the bunkers don't get the attention that they deserve, but man, it was absolutely fantastic from T to green, hmm.

Speaker 2:

Can you guys play snow?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we played snow on Bobby's birthday. He had a chip ski and Eegs on, uh on a 17 and a couple of. I think he had three birdies and eagle. He was out there you know Bob. Weston yeah, birthday Eagles and birthday birdies like crazy.

Speaker 2:

Weston son.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I hit the driver really, really good. I, I'm, I'm struggling with my approaches right now. I'm, I'm, I. Last year I, scotty, scotty D, shout out, scotty D got it in my head about upfront pens, how many I missed short. And so I started focusing on how many greens that I've missed short, and last year it was 30, 30% of the greens I missed I missed short, which you know, and that's something I've been telling you guys. My passive play is just haunting me, so I'm like focusing on, you know, when the pens up front, going more center for the green instead of trying to dial in the distances, you know, if it's 120, let's play a 130 club and you know, get in the middle of the green and have a better opportunity at putting. Then you know, a chip shot. But you know, I, I, I'm a fairly decent shipper and it saves me a lot, but I'm down to 23% this year, so I've I've lowered it almost 10%. So I, my, I'm missing left and right more than short distances is really good. It's just getting everything dialed in on accuracy. I just I need to practice more. Haven't been practicing as much lately and it's killing me and you haven't been playing that much either. No, well, that had a lot of stuff going on. You know had had a funeral we had to go to, and then the staycation and and then we might be taken off next week as well. So Emma's getting ready for college, so we got some colleges we may go visit and do a little family road trip Nice.

Speaker 2:

All part of growing up.

Speaker 1:

All part of growing up. Yeah, got one more year left with two kids in the household.

Speaker 2:

They had quite a few.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you have quite a few. Jeremy has a few. You've got quite a few. Yeah, all right. So let's see. Rose Ranch is up next, after coyote Guys had a little early. This is this is all the stuff I missed out on. I turned down a Thursday morning round, a Friday afternoon round and two weekend rounds Because I wasn't going to be here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because you were watching Asia Wilson.

Speaker 1:

Not really. She was a.

Speaker 4:

TV in the hotel room. Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we only had only had two tickets to the All Star game, so, erica.

Speaker 2:

Oh, did you not get one of those Instagram people that like came up to you and asked for, like a mystery basketball and then they gave you for tickets and five thousand dollars?

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

So that does not happen in real life. I've seen a couple of those, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And then Emma got asked to do a free throw contest at halftime and then her jersey wasn't an Asia Wilson jersey. So they said oh yeah, never mind, yeah, like, oh damn let me get one. Yeah, right it was. It was McBride jersey from the first year they were here and so, hmm, retro.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, she had to get on this.

Speaker 1:

Her little microphone and go who is McBride? Because she thought it was their last name. It's like wow. And it was like really you're running this contest. You don't even know who that is. I was like good for you.

Speaker 2:

Related to Danny. No, so yeah, rhodes was good. I mean it was a little. It was a little soggy in areas. Greens were soft. I couldn't really tell. It seemed like the Greens were like punched recently or something.

Speaker 4:

So they're slightly bumpy, yeah, but it Well they rolled pretty well.

Speaker 2:

It was good. We booked the 5 56 AMT time, like two days before our round and we were the first group out, which was awesome to have nobody in front of us. We played in three and a half hours, which was great, always love. Because it was a scorcher on Sunday yeah, super hot. I mean like we made it through nine after nine holes. I was like this is it's. It was getting hot, so shout out anybody that played in the afternoon on Sunday, because that was that was a. That was a scorcher.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, we played in like three hours and 20 minutes, I think.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was. It was around three and a half, for sure.

Speaker 4:

Plumber and Bob West.

Speaker 1:

Well, you played with plumber. You got plumber out the house. What?

Speaker 2:

Well, we were, we were asked. I was like literally trying to feel the fourth because a favelora backed out, because he came up with some shitty excuse that he was nine month pregnant. So I was literally asking everybody, everybody, like I texted Cliff, I texted Manu, I texted I mean obviously Trey and Julian were out of town. I texted everybody I could think of. I was about to text Mike and I sent a message to Plumber on Instagram and he said no, I'm going to, I'm beat after today. He was tired or something. So he texted me about five minutes later and said fucking, I'm in, so Plumber played with us. So, which I'm? I love plumber. Plumber is fun to play with. I enjoy plumber and I got a handshake video out of plumber, so you know we're all collect, where I'm collecting the handshake videos, so love playing with people. I don't have a handshake video of, so I got. I got a new one.

Speaker 1:

Let's see, you've got. Who are you paired with? Oh, let's see, mr Joe Keith, you're playing with Chris Perez, cliff Harris and Daniel Higdon, so you'll, you'll have a couple Dan Higdon.

Speaker 2:

Chris Perez, I forgot that I didn't hear the second one.

Speaker 1:

Oh, Cliff.

Speaker 2:

Cliff oh, I love playing with Cliff. Yeah yeah, Chris is awesome too. Chris Perez is.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, funny dude.

Speaker 2:

These we played with in Carnestoga right? Yep, yeah, I didn't get a handshake video with him, so I'm so glad with him. Yeah, chris is awesome man, this is cool dude.

Speaker 1:

And then, if you forget on Saturday, you're going to be paired with him again Sunday, so you can, you know. Oh, so we're not switching up like leaderboards no I this is kind of a test, for us is our first two day event and I don't want to make it too complicated and screw something up. So I'm going to see how it goes Saturday and then I'm going to chat with legacy and see if I send out cart signs again. If they can, you know, make that happen. I don't think it's going to be a problem. So I may mix it up, but it all depends on how the day goes, how tired I am, and you know, if I want to come home and do the parents oh, it's going to be. Yeah, it's going to be a long day Going to be a long day, so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like I see with dad in the house. What's?

Speaker 1:

that I just saw that I've seen him since. Yeah, wow, that's a long time. I was talking to somebody about legends every night the other day.

Speaker 2:

I mean to bring that one back.

Speaker 1:

I have to do something.

Speaker 2:

Should make that a VGN event. Yeah, Dude.

Speaker 1:

So tell me, was I wrong in saying that pay? You would be absolutely perfect to have night golf, no, no, no, it would be amazing. I mean they, they could run lights on all the courses. Right, just have them out there. They got the money to do it, set up the lights and then just during the summertime you rotate and you have two courses open during the day, one course open at night. Two courses open the day, one course open at night. You run limited staff and I think that would be a freaking gold mine, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I mean, it's so crazy to me that Vegas does not have like a lit golf course, like we do have Angel Park, cloud nine, which is great, it's fun. There could probably be a few more lights out there, but I'm not. No, but we don't have a full lit golf course out here and it blows my mind. It's insane, insane. Obviously, in the summertime it'd be very difficult to get a tea time.

Speaker 1:

at night they could charge triple with their charging right now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and the best option is Bali High, but nobody's going to pay $300 to play there at night. So I know, as Brian or mentioned in one of the podcasts previously, like desert pines would be a great option for that Great. Amazing.

Speaker 1:

I mean the thing that I love about the Paiute idea though you don't have to worry about residents being pissed off that lights are on it.

Speaker 2:

Totally, because it's so nothing's out there. It would. It would be. It would be fantastic. It'd be great if they did that. They're never going to do it, but it would be amazing. Yeah, and I would love to see it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, angels should do it on Palm. Yeah, the thing with Palm, it's just there's. I think you're going to be well, is there? There's not too many houses on Palm, right? No, no, no, no, they're on the other side.

Speaker 2:

So I mean even if they just did that they did the side of the um cause they got one, two, and then you come, you go under the bridge, like if they just did it on that side, that's to the south of the Summerland Parkway, like make like a nine hole, like full course, like they could totally do that it would be, it would be great. I mean, it'd be very expensive probably, and it'd be incredibly hard to get a tea time, but in the wintertime it'd probably be pretty simple. But I it blows my mind that there's not one out here. Like it's crazy to me, like Arizona has one, I think Dubai.

Speaker 1:

Well, they got a couple of lighted ranges, I know, but that's nothing.

Speaker 4:

We don't have very many lighted ranges.

Speaker 2:

You know, I mean we got a couple, but it's the biggest golf club.

Speaker 4:

Have lights at night on their range Muni.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, that would be a question for Fernando if he's still in here. He's a. He's a card holder out there. I'm not sure I don't travel that way too often at night.

Speaker 1:

So See, that's another thing where the residents would probably be pissed off that there's lights, that bright yeah, but they're fairly far away.

Speaker 2:

I mean it's off. Yeah, I don't know you never know.

Speaker 1:

There's a reason, there's reasons.

Speaker 2:

I mean, you guys like the light fucking coyote springs up like oh my God, could you imagine that would be incredible man, It'd be so much fun Goodness, or even. Boulder.

Speaker 1:

Creek would have to do.

Speaker 2:

Boulder Creek too, you could do one. You could do El Dorado yeah.

Speaker 1:

El Dorado nine just at night. That would be fun.

Speaker 4:

The El Dorado nine at night.

Speaker 1:

Look at that, that just flows off the tongue, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Let me say it's crazy that we don't have one. Never let that happen.

Speaker 1:

It's crazy, we don't have one.

Speaker 2:

I like, whenever I think about it, I'm like how do we not? You know right, it can't be that expensive and your investments probably going to make you your money back with any year. Well, and they have.

Speaker 1:

I mean now with solar. There's so many ways that they can store that energy and use it, and the lights or, you know, don't use nearly as much energy as they used to. Of course, those big stadium lights probably do, but you never know. There's ways that they could do it efficiently. I think, I don't know. There's probably just not enough to make. They don't care, actually, that's, that's it. They don't care because they get enough play as it is and they're making enough money as it is. They don't need to go to night golf. Well, that's it.

Speaker 2:

That's it. Well, that's the that's the issue is is there's a lot of people playing golf and these, these golf courses aren't investing back into their? You know, course, but they had it. There was a downturn in 2020, for sure. They they lost a lot of money, as with many companies, and you know there might just be trying to recoup their losses and hopefully we see down the road. Yeah, I mean, hopefully we see down the road. I think it'd be a great idea and I don't think it would fail. I think there'd be people out there playing, especially during the summer.

Speaker 1:

Dude Coyote at night would be.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you know it'd be the best is primed, and then they could just hook a bunch of extension cables from that solar.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, they're right there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you got all the energy you need right there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it'd be great.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I don't know. If I don't know, I would. I would drive to print for night golf.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, totally, it's a great course. It's an, it's an incredible course.

Speaker 1:

And I would be fun. And we've talked about it before and you know, hopefully there and we get all the we get all the coyotes and nocturnal animals coming out at night, you know there'd be probably more snake sightings and yeah, we'd actually see where the donkey dumps come from.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly, there's a donkey on the family.

Speaker 1:

Oh there is a lot of mule shit out there. It is, there is very surprising. Okay, so let's see, we got legacy coming up this weekend. Oh, you know what let's do? Let's get Maddie G in here and he can tell us what will be expecting, whether wise come this weekend. What's up, guys? Mac on target.

Speaker 3:

The chasing daylight podcast Say we got a big weekend coming up. Our VGN summer sizzle going out. The legacy it's going to be a shotgun start to start things off Saturday and Sunday. Both days are going to be 110 plus, so it's going to be scorching hot out there by that second nine to be sure to hydrate and have a couple of Gatorades in the cooler ready to go. It looks like we may squeeze out a few afternoon showers. But the good thing is, on Sunday it looks to be mainly in the evening hours, similar to what we saw this afternoon. On your Monday, those monsoon showers look to pop up this upcoming weekend. But Saturday looks clear for now. Just hot. The excessive heat warning continuing the chance for showers late Sunday evening.

Speaker 2:

He shot on gone Terek for withdrawing, so I can get jump in this one. And also, dude comes into town. You know newbie to 10 and he's on every morning. Now, yeah, casey's gone and he's, he's. He's the man now.

Speaker 1:

Maddie G man. They love him over there Shot off Fox five. Yes, fox five weatherman right there, live on the chasing day podcast.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's going to be a, it's going to be a scorcher.

Speaker 1:

That's all the. I've been adding all the flames and everything to all the little marketing materials because it's it is going to be blazing hot. We've got 40 people. We had 42. Then we had 40. Then we had 38. Then we had 39. And we had 38. Then we had probably 37. No, got back up 38, 39. Ok, we're back up to 40. Yeah, hopefully the people that have withdrawn are OK. And we had an injury, we had a medical procedure, we had fucking you, it's hot, and so I'm glad that we got 40 people. I knew I wasn't going to try and get a full 60 64 player field for this one. It's just too damn hot and not everybody likes playing in the heat. I'm at Blumber. So, I'm glad we got the 40 people Kenzie's back in town. She's coming back and playing some golf with us, so she's going to be out there. Nine players in the gross division, I think, nine players in spades, 11 or 12 in the hearts and 10 in the clubs. Hey, special shout out to Mike Tice. He's, he's been promoted. He is no longer in the clubs division. Wow, he is climbing the ranks and he is now in the hearts division and he's like four or five places up from the bottom of the hearts division. So congrats to him on his good gameplay. We'll see if adding five, six hundred yards to his tournaments changes that, but I think he's up for the challenge. He's been playing some really good golf and it's much deserved. And then that's all I got for that. Yeah, two days, two days are going to be out there. I've heard good things about legacy Going to find out for ourselves. Actually, stephen Jackson is going to be out there with myself, woody and Joe, as long as you can still make it, yeah so go figure that one out. Okay, figure that one out, because it's no two days from now. I know, all right, don't be nine months pregnant. Fabalore and me the day before.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean like 14 hours before. That's Fabalore.

Speaker 4:

Wow, that was actually surprising, though, because he's one of the most reliable people I've ever met. Yeah, I'm just best of them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know his work's been chaotic right now and he's going on vacation, so yeah, well, it's the dead of summer and there is, there is a premium on water, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we went over to his house for fourth and he was telling me some of the stories about people applying for pools and pools are limited to the size and I didn't know that, I didn't know pool sizes were limited and, like all these people with these mansions in summit that want these massive pools, they're like no, sorry can't do it.

Speaker 4:

No, you get a normal size pool.

Speaker 2:

No, I didn't, I don't, I didn't know that you have to get approved for a pool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Well, it's, what is it? 10 by 20 is the match you can do now.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to put in application.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like do you put references on there?

Speaker 1:

Give the reference.

Speaker 2:

Fabalora, like do they call him?

Speaker 1:

Oh, if it's over 700 square feet, you just get a stamp of denial.

Speaker 4:

And it's like not even just a pool, like there's these houses up in summit or wherever a skia that want to put in these water features in their front yard. That's like part of it. Nope, it's total. Can't do it.

Speaker 1:

Interesting. Yeah, so Pretty interesting. Yeah, interesting stuff. So we're playing there Wednesday and so we're going to get an idea of how the course is. The conditions I've heard the conditions are really good, except for the bunkers. The bunkers, you know, when you have a course not being maintained, that's the first thing they don't care about is the bunkers, because you know what in the desert there's not much to do, don't be a yeah, it shouldn't be in any ways. So we're going to check that out and make sure, probably going to do a ground under repair ruling for the bunkers if from if what I've heard is true, and if that's be the case, then we'll just play him ground under repair and everybody can, you know, be happy about that. But what I've heard is the greens are really good and the course is in good shape. So the new management company shout out to them for coming in and making some changes and getting that course back. You know we get that back and, like we said this last week, you know, with reflection, with new greens, dragon, with new greens, new management at legacy Prem got their water ship fixed out, fixed. So 2024 is looking pretty Right Right. Future Right Future ahead for Angel Park to close? No, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 2:

No, they got a long lease on that land.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it's still not their land. That's the thing.

Speaker 2:

That's true. Yeah, yeah, that's that's going to be interesting when that, when it runs out like what's happening.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're doing amazing things over there. They really are. We need to get over there and get on Jed's little episode and get that done Totally. He's been asking us for a while. We need to make that happen. So, yeah, great thing All right.

Speaker 2:

I mean like obviously the best course in town doing like social media correctly.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they're killing it. They're the only the only course in town. That's absolutely killing it on the social.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and, and put a huge focus on it and it's and it's doing wonders for them and they're, they're showing up and they're showing out, it's you know and it's a course that it's, you know, locals favorite forever, it's it's.

Speaker 1:

they never have to worry about the tea times not being there. They're, they're, it's sold out all the time. It's a crazy busy course. They did not need to do the social media stuff.

Speaker 2:

No, no, they got a lit range, they got a pudding course. I mean the course sells itself and the only legit nine home lit golf course at night. I mean, it's part three course, but the other one is are you shitting on city of North Las Vegas?

Speaker 1:

part three course.

Speaker 2:

Is it lit?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

He's to clear their night. I don't know if they have any more, they probably don't turn the lights on.

Speaker 1:

We used to go out there and play all the time.

Speaker 2:

It's not like the six where they leave the light on for you. I'm Bobby. Is that Motel? Six will leave the light on for you. Sure Red roof.

Speaker 4:

Is it?

Speaker 2:

all right no.

Speaker 1:

Motel eight favorite so and we're 13 months away from band.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yay, that's gonna be such an epic trip.

Speaker 1:

I can't wait. That's why I posted that today.

Speaker 2:

I was so excited I can't wait and you know, in just five months ago we were 18 months away, so I cannot wait, that's gonna be.

Speaker 1:

That's our county math coming through right there.

Speaker 2:

That's gonna be such an. That's gonna be an all-timer.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was reminiscing, scrolling through some old photos and found that you know bunker shot at the, the, that pot bunker at Royal Inks, and I was like man, I really missed that course. That was such a fun golf course. Really really missed that place. Yeah, memory lane. So all right. So tournament this weekend, Good luck to everybody and that should be a good time. It's gonna be a good test for our two-day and it'll be a great prep for me to make sure that the finals go off without a hitch. So if you're playing, hydrate, drink a lot of water. I mean, on Friday, just drink a gallon of water, just for no reason, just to get that hydration in your system, Cause it is gonna be hot. I don't know what the water situation is out there. Bring a cooler, bring some water, because I'm. Hydration packs Prime has hydration packs now, Two for four at Speedy Mart for prime, but water obviously is the best. And the liquid IVs we've been using those for a long time.

Speaker 2:

You shut out Trey. It's all about the relight, redmond's relight. I got packets, I got the canister. It's a little saltier than liquid IV, but man, that shit is, that's good shit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah what is that?

Speaker 4:

one.

Speaker 2:

Is that in the store? No, no, you order on Amazon. It's called relight R-E-L-Y-T-E.

Speaker 1:

It's really good stuff Say it again R-E, r-e-l-y-t-e.

Speaker 2:

It's a little salty here, Like not as salty as Element is, but it's got really good flavor. They had a good special on prime day, so I grabbed some sticks and I also got the Mixberry canister. It's good stuff and it's like I said, it's a little salty but it's good.

Speaker 1:

Nice.

Speaker 2:

But anybody playing golf in the desert during the summer. You need something. You need something. Obviously, gatorade has the dyes in it and this has no dyes.

Speaker 1:

And the sugar Liquid.

Speaker 2:

IV has sugar. They're starting to do zero sugar now, though, but yeah, we're got it out. It elevates it for you. Water's great, but it helps.

Speaker 1:

Any little bit you can get to say hydrated will help you have some potassium, a little sodium, a little magnesium, get it in there. And that's one of the reasons why this is gonna be a challenge, because it's gonna be two days in really hot temps for everybody, so you could have a great day, but the next day the heat gets you. If you're not prepared, you can tap out early. Yeah, sorry. I've been bingeing naked in a fray, so.

Speaker 2:

I've been really good at bringing bottles of water lately, so in my band and solstice Jonesback.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've been. Yeah, anytime I leave for go, I stop at Speedy Martin, I grab some primes and I'll have one on the way to the course and then two in the carton, bro, they have exploded. Oh my God, like crazy and the kids go nuts for that stuff.

Speaker 2:

To me that shit is too sweet, like it tastes fake. To me it's a little too sweet, but it's better than nothing. So Absolutely. Absolutely. You don't want anybody.

Speaker 1:

No injuries, no dehydration. So you know, get yourself hydrated for this weekend, because you're going to need it.

Speaker 2:

All right, and the good old Josh Gatson route and get some salt taps.

Speaker 1:

Yep, I've got some of those too, if anybody wants them. I can't do those. I tried, ooh, all right. Other news there was some professional golf that took place this past weekend. All over the place the Was it Barbasol or Barbasol that took place and I will go over our picks. I had Grayson Murray and I really thought he was going to do something. He came out the gates blazing on Sunday, had a bad double bogey-bogey stretch there on the back nine and it really hurt his chances to do anything, but he did finish off OK, so I got some decent points for that. Jeremy had Lucas Glover who ended up fifth, so you got some points for that and won the week there. Joe had Kevin Strylman who missed a cut. Let's see. So that's all you got, joe. Sorry For the Genesis, the big event. I had Kurt Kityama, who started bad, came back then didn't finish well, ended up 54th. Joe had Shane Lowry. He finished 12th. Tommy Fleetwood, for Jeremy had him winning the week on both events and extending his lead. You are in prime, prime pun intended position to win this year and I think because I won the first year, joe won the second year. You know we all would have a win under a belt. Yeah, not bad. So this week we've got two events again the opposite field event, the Barracuda Championship, out in California in the Reno area, and then the open, the major, the last major of the year is taking place. Shes Reeve won the Barracuda last year. Cameron Smith is the defending champion for the open. I don't know how much normally we do an open preview, but Trey. Trey's still out of town, right, yeah, he's still out of town and I've been so out of it. You know not being home. I is like you know what. I don't think anybody's like oh my God, we have to listen to the Chasing Day iPodcast version of the open rundown. But should be an entertaining one. There's a lot of good guys playing good golf right now. Bum that Harry couldn't pull out the win at Scottish. He had himself a hell of a second round and third round, put himself in great position and then man that course got him on Sunday. So he's not there, but a lot of good players playing really good golf right now. Scotty Schaeffler is about to tie Tiger Woods on a record. Did you see that?

Speaker 2:

Which one he has finished in?

Speaker 1:

what is it? 16 consecutive top 15s, and Tigers done it one time more than that, and that's the record.

Speaker 4:

That's insane, and he's also won more this year than Tiger did in like four years put together.

Speaker 1:

He's at least he's, he's ballin', he is ballin' would be a great event for him to win, of course, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Kay was like we were watching on, I think, sunday. She's like he's still number one. He's still number one. And she was like it's probably because he has a lot of top 10s. Yeah, yeah, he's got a lot of top 10s. That's why.

Speaker 1:

He's, he's killing it, man, Absolutely killing it. So I didn't see, I didn't watch much.

Speaker 4:

I watched a little bit on Thursday.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, this was great. So the TV that we were watching in the room I go put it on, and it was Direct TV is in negotiations with Telecom communications to bring you this channel. But those negotiations have failed and I'm like, are you fucking kidding me? This is CBS, yeah, so couldn't watch any of that. So I just watched it on my phone, yeah, but I got up to-.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we didn't even talk about the hearings on the Senate.

Speaker 1:

I didn't watch any of it.

Speaker 2:

No, I watched a little bit.

Speaker 1:

I tried and I just it was-.

Speaker 2:

Katie. Katie watched it like all day because I left it on Golf Channel before I left for work. I come home and she's like, yeah, I don't get why they're making such a big deal out of this. There's no deal done yet.

Speaker 1:

Do we need to get her on? You wanna go grab her real quick and give us some insights to the hearings.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was funny. I came home and I was like I only saw a little bit.

Speaker 4:

I think this has divided our country further.

Speaker 2:

As far as the hearings, I think it's way too early for any kind of hearings. There's literally no deal in place yet.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. And I mean so it's like hey, when you guys do something bad, we'll be back to talk about this more.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's like you decided to go to Taco Bell tonight. You haven't gone yet, but are you ready for the implications that?

Speaker 1:

that Taco Bell's gonna provide on it. Are you sure you know what you're doing?

Speaker 2:

Do you wanna go to Taco Bell? And that's what it was.

Speaker 1:

It's so, so silly, but Norman did get the ax right. Was that a real article?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know, I didn't see that. But I think he's 100% gone, no matter what, like Norman's out, I didn't see that one, but it's not gonna go any further with Norman at the helm, or at the post, if you will.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I heard an interesting take today I think it might've been Barstool or something. Ooh, that's. Harsh Riggs was saying something like this was planned out the whole time. Like the main guy over the PIF is the total genius. We're gonna start this league, that's. We wanna get into that PGA tour and into American sports more. Let's throw Greg Norman in here. Everyone hates him. Make him a villain and then we'll kick him out and I'll take over and everyone's gonna love me. They're gonna think I'm such a nice guy for doing it. Blah, blah, blah. Yeah, it's sort of kind of looking a little bit more like that. It's just this was a strategic thing this whole time.

Speaker 2:

I think they knew exactly what they were doing. It's like fucking Jack Ryan, like he knows the route he's gonna take, and I think they knew it the whole time. Like I mean, and good on them. I mean they almost saw the future. I feel like so.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so Adam sent it over on Tuesday Said live Galcio Greg Norman. To be terminated according to side agreement between PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia's PIF.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. So who knows? I mean, since there's not technically a solidified deal in place, he's probably still around. Yeah, yeah, on paper. But so this is what I said, you guys can tell me what you think.

Speaker 1:

Anybody else wants comment? Let me know what you think I said. What's crazy is live would have never started without Norman's desire to shit on the PGA Tour Now because it created all this division and PGA Tour comes in, tries to end the divisiveness by coming to terms with the PIF to get their players back and create a better product For everyone going forward makes me wonder, if Tiger came up with a live concept and included the PGA Tour from the beginning and not Norman, how much more positive it could have been and what eventually is going to be live in 2024 and going forward could have been that from the beginning. I still think Norman is pissed because this is not what he wanted. He wanted a product that was not the PGA Tour and it's now going to be basically PGA Tour plus.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. I don't know. I mean I don't think Tiger would have went that far, as far as Norman went. You know what I'm saying. He is the poster child, he is the greatest golfer that's ever lived, kind of situation I don't think as far as it has. If Tiger was the poster child, I think Norman, with all of his defeats and coming short on everything, he was probably more determined to find a way against it and he went outside of the normal universe to get there. He found a country or whatever you call it, the PIF. He found money. Yeah, he found money.

Speaker 1:

He backed him up Exactly.

Speaker 2:

He had a desire to find a way and he had a desire to do it and he found it. Obviously, the money is from a place that wants to get more global recognition and get a better place in the global spotlight. They were like, hey, we could probably use this Kind of like a house of cards situation. They probably knew it the whole time. This is going to let us in the door. Every course you go to Greg Norman is on the clearance rack. That's true Everywhere you go. The only thing on clearance rack is the shark.

Speaker 4:

I saw a couple of senior champions tour players wearing shark clothes on TV. I'm wondering about that.

Speaker 2:

They're probably his homies, because that's his generation. I don't know who knows, but he's going to get paid out. He's going to be fine. Shark's going to be okay.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he's got money, he's fine, he's fine. I'm not worried about him. I just wonder if somebody that didn't have the negativity that he has towards the PGA Tour could have done this in a way that the PGA Tour was involved with from the beginning and made it essentially what it's going to be. Yeah, I mean. I mean and not had all this crazy divisiveness and the guys leaving and all this hate.

Speaker 2:

Like a better face. A more cooperative face Probably could have made this even better than it potentially going to be. I don't know if it's going to be better than it is now the PGA but if it was somebody that was cooperative and willing to partner and had Jay Monahan's like ear, it could have been incredible.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And obviously the shark does not have the ear of Jay Monahan, no, like a tiger would. So it could have been, you know, much better, and I think they just waited.

Speaker 1:

They've wasted two years of our lives with all this bullshit and nonsense.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they also gave us shit to talk about on a podcast. So that is true, that is true.

Speaker 1:

Where would we be without Greg oh?

Speaker 2:

man. Yeah, I mean, he is the homie man. I mean I just don't want to go to Southern Pines in North Carolina and see all Greg Normanship, because that was disappointing.

Speaker 1:

That's all they had Pretty much. And you didn't buy any. No. Oh that's a shame, Joe. You should have bought something.

Speaker 2:

I know probably should have. I'm at a local ball, it's not Greg Norman Local ball.

Speaker 1:

Hey, did anybody come up with any better ideas for your local ball display? Did you pin that out?

Speaker 2:

Dylan, a fair way finder golf show, I think. Yeah, he sent me someone, but they just do wood. And then he he messaged me I forgot I'd shot him out. I don't remember his name.

Speaker 1:

You should have commissioned Jared to figure out something for you.

Speaker 2:

I know I should probably have Jared. That's probably a good idea because I want it. I want it to be ever expanding and that's the thing with the wood is, you can't like ever expand it. He, the one dude, he hit me up. He's like we can make a bigger like logo ball display. I'm like that's not what I want. I want it to. I'm not done playing new courses, that's the thing. And I want it to like be like a wall where it's going to grow and live and age and I can add on to. So getting up Jared is probably a good idea. I didn't even think about that. Yeah, he could probably come up with something really creative that you can add on my current my current idea is to place them in epoxy bricks Like by six, six packs or something like that, Like, like a like Vegas six packs, and then you can do like states and put them in different golf trips or like if we go to like some LEDs behind them and color waves, yeah, when we went to Georgia, alabama, tennessee, like make that a golf trip brick, like all the courses we played on that golf trip. Yeah, you know, make it an epoxy brick. So hitting up. Jared is a great idea that's, I'm going to have to do that.

Speaker 1:

All I do is come up with great ideas. So yeah, I know, Eric's listening, but he's struggling with some technology.

Speaker 2:

He's he's probably at the range in like in and out of the simulation.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you know it's funny. It's because he can't comment. Right now we can say whatever we want. Youtube is getting the best of him. He would really really like to leave a comment, but is is having an aging and an old man problem with the computer. I guess I'm never going to hear the end of that one. So, uh, hey, which, which odds you want to go over first? You want to do? Oh yeah, we just dropped a listener, so that's, that's probably what you guys. You want to go over? Let's go.

Speaker 2:

Let's go Barakuda first, and then we can do the open, and then we could probably chat about the open a little bit and close out the show. So, uh Barakuda, and not many people out here Uh Stephen Yeager 16 to one, keith Mitchell 18 to one, taylor Pendrith 22 to one, mark Hubbard 25 to one, along with Vincent Norman, uh JJ Spahn, uh Patrick Rogers 28 to one, ches Reavey, sam Bennett, uh Bo Hossler, justin's uh 30 to one, nick Hardy, akshay Batia 35 to one, grayson Murray, uh Peter Kous Koyst, uh Nicholas, uh Lindheim, ryan Palmer, joseph Bramlett 40 to one, sam Stevens, harry Hall 45 to one. Let's go down the bottom Peter Maltnani, adam Salt, andy Sullivan 100 to one and Louis D Yeager 125 to one.

Speaker 1:

Rory is going to be working this event out there in the Taylor made truck. Oh nice yeah.

Speaker 2:

Far away from the humidity.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, ok. So Jeremy, you get first first dibs in this one because you won the week on both events.

Speaker 4:

So I'm going to go with Justin saw 30 to one.

Speaker 1:

Justin saw 30 to one Joe.

Speaker 2:

I am going to go. Mark Hubbard at 25 to one.

Speaker 1:

Well, true links where? Yes, sir, what was? What was his odds?

Speaker 2:

Twenty five to one twenty five to one.

Speaker 1:

Let's see I go down my list here of players I should probably pick it's good picture Me this is one of those ones where literally anybody can win.

Speaker 2:

There's money to be made.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I need points. Fire, I'm going to go. Patrick Rogers.

Speaker 2:

I like it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Twenty eight to one for Patrick Rogers. Twenty eight, yep, holy Mary. There's only a couple of people not in the bonus, so that it will pass him third.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, yeah. So yeah, out there in the the, the hills of the Tahoe area.

Speaker 2:

Did you watch any of the century American mortgage tournament of celebrities?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I watched Curry hit the hole in one and act like a fucking retard for 20 minutes.

Speaker 2:

Hey, he made ego on the last to win, right? Yeah, absolutely, that was a baller, that was that was clutch.

Speaker 1:

Much respect to that. No, it was just funny because I wanted to do one of those golf douche bag tweets for his like great narrow time, first time person gets a hole in one. They're going to run around high five and flags and sprinting down the fairways.

Speaker 2:

I was looking for him to spray his ankle on that one Right. A little Tony action he took off.

Speaker 1:

And does it? Do you know? Had the other guys already hit or did they still need to hit?

Speaker 2:

I didn't see it live so I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I could. I thought I was like man, that's crazy. That's the guy just sitting back there like, are you, are you done? Can I hit now?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Too funny. No, I watched a little bit of it, not much off of a burger for Reno fans. No Reno fans Sorry.

Speaker 2:

Get out of here.

Speaker 1:

Get out of here. Don't want you.

Speaker 2:

Is that? Did Adam go to you and are? Yes, he did. Ok, he knows what off off the burger is that?

Speaker 1:

he go to bats about it all all the time that the cannon is red right now. So that's all that matters. All right, I got nothing else to say about this tournament. I don't even know when it's, on what time they're playing Harry's in it. So come on, harry, let's see Where's. Where's he at in the sea, in the FedEx club.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man, I was really pulling from him that last day.

Speaker 1:

And if he could have finished well and got some points, he could have really jumped him up in there. It was a really tough final day though. Oh, that wind Crazy.

Speaker 2:

I was. It's funny watching them play in the wind and then, like we play in pipe, when I'm like what? The wind's different, it's going to be different.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he's down to 82. 82.

Speaker 2:

Right, he's going to meet, he's going to get his card back. That's fine.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, he's getting his card back. I just wanted him to get into playoffs.

Speaker 2:

You know totally, he still has a couple of shots.

Speaker 1:

Not much left.

Speaker 2:

It's dwindling.

Speaker 1:

It's dwindling, but he's got the barracuda three and wind them, and you know everybody that's close is going to be in those events. So yeah, he's coming back though. Yeah, yeah, bramlet's at 84. So they're right there. Adam Scott's at 83. Danny Willis at 81. Your guy, justin, is at 79. Gary Higo's at 77. Justin Thomas is at 75. Wow, that's fairly.

Speaker 2:

Wow.

Speaker 1:

He's got a chance of missing the playoffs.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Shane Lowry is at 72. Right now Davis Thompson is the final guy in. Hmm, that's crazy Interesting. Who else is it that's got to be the biggest name? Damon's at 85. Gary Woodlands 91, but he hasn't had a good year. No, I didn't think that Justin is. I know he hasn't played great, but I didn't think it was back that far to not be in the playoffs Playoffs.

Speaker 2:

I mean so Ricky's probably in the playoffs.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

So being what do you? Swing right Like two good buddies, like big swing Like Ricky was what last year 130.

Speaker 1:

Like he's deep. He's like he's in the eighth spot right now. Yeah, because he was right on the outside looking in at 125.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean a huge swing right there.

Speaker 1:

He's eighth right now.

Speaker 2:

Crazy Big swing. And JT was a major winner last year, so that's a big swing.

Speaker 1:

Right now, the top 10 is Rom Scheffler, McElroy, Homa, Clark, Bradley, Hovland, Fowler, Finau, Taylor.

Speaker 2:

I'm kind of surprised to see Homa that, and because he hasn't played well this year, that no, but he had that early.

Speaker 1:

You know he had an early couple wins. Yeah Right, Didn't he have two wins?

Speaker 2:

One was that last year I got two wins One runner up, he's got, he's got eight top 10s, so that that'll do it right there.

Speaker 1:

What does it say Save for Scheffler?

Speaker 2:

Scheffler.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Scheffler has he he he has six wins, six runner ups, three or nine third place finishes. Maybe that's his career.

Speaker 2:

Hold on. So six wins Is that trailing 12 months? Is that the past 12 months, or is it the thought season?

Speaker 1:

He has four. This year he's got six. That was total.

Speaker 2:

OK, so it's trailing 12 months. Yeah, that's that I mean that's a cheater.

Speaker 1:

That's his career, and just this year PJ come on Dude.

Speaker 2:

I, like Scheffler is you can't go wrong Like betting him on a top 10.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, 19 events, two wins, one runner up, 15 top 10s, 18 top 25. He's made all of his cuts.

Speaker 4:

How much has he made? Twenty twenty four million. 19 million.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, nineteen million, and that's and that's not counting golf forever sponsorship, yeah, which I'm sure everybody's seen that on their Instagram ads.

Speaker 4:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

Wow, yeah, t three T four, three three T three T two, t five, t eleven, t ten, four, one T four, t twelve, one T eleven, T seven, two, t nine, three. Yeah, the CJ cup. T forty five is worst. His next worst event is a T twelve. Wow, damn, that's a hell of a year.

Speaker 2:

And it just just think if, if he could putt if more putts dropped for him, he probably would have won seven tournaments.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, easily, Easily, good grief.

Speaker 2:

He just his putting has been just a hair off and he he lived out like Jeremy and Blackrock, like a lot.

Speaker 1:

This is yeah, yeah, a lot.

Speaker 2:

A few more drop and he's. He's in the winter circle way more.

Speaker 1:

Jeremy, are you ready for a BGT shaft? I am ready. You're going to try one? Ok, I am All right.

Speaker 2:

I thought Eric was sending one. Is there a soliciting?

Speaker 1:

That's another thing we got to get greenling on.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Yes, we do.

Speaker 2:

I thought we, I thought I thought we came to terms of that on the podcast that Eric was on last one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like I thought he was bringing on his carry on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I thought it must not have been. It must not have been.

Speaker 4:

He didn't want to try that before I get a mallet.

Speaker 2:

Last ditch effort I think. I think it would help tremendously yeah you.

Speaker 4:

So you would literally never tried any other putter shaft, so it would be different.

Speaker 1:

But you would do the mallet. Even though you think you're, you couldn't look at yourself having the mallet in the bag.

Speaker 4:

If I was making putts I could. I could deal with it, but I wouldn't be happy. It would bother me. I'd have to put like a paper bag over my golf clubs.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you put that. You put the rain in the rain.

Speaker 4:

The rain cover yeah, multiple towels.

Speaker 2:

I can't do it, Even if it means making more putts. I just can't look at it in my bag.

Speaker 4:

No, you know what I do. I would take it out before the round and put it in my writing partners bag and then, when I need it, just pull it out his bag. Dennis on my bag.

Speaker 2:

That's true. That's on your bag. I can't, I can't do it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, if you went from averaging 32 putts to 27 putts around, you would totally do it. And then you would find some five putts probably isn't worth it no averaging. I'm talking averaging not not just one round. That's, that's tour average yeah, twenty seven.

Speaker 2:

The thing, though, is like, currently like I don't know how many putts I have around, but I know I don't keep track anymore, man, it's just not that's not keeping stats. It's not about this, I know I know I can putt well with my current putter. I can put as well with my current putter than I would with my mallet putter if I got one.

Speaker 1:

I don't think you know that because you've never tried.

Speaker 2:

I used to have a mallet parter.

Speaker 1:

What mallet putter did you have before two ball?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yep, I had a two ball before, even before I even play with you guys. It was the red Odyssey two ball, like the winged one, and I've seen it hang over the edge of my bag and I don't want to see it again.

Speaker 1:

That's so funny.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to put it head first and down into the back.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, like put a sock over it and it's just strap it in by itself. I need my. I need a solo cart. I'll just put the mallet putter face down on the passenger side and strap it in.

Speaker 4:

On the roof. Yeah, just can't do it. Oh, I challenge anyone to find. I would love to get some suggestions on a mallet putter, because I do know a clue.

Speaker 2:

We talked about this yesterday at Rhodes Ranch. Like that lab golf putter with the heart spade thing is so fucking ugly. It's terrible, it's terrible.

Speaker 1:

But it's crazy, light Crazy.

Speaker 2:

Super, but it's so stable and so easy to keep level like centered, like square, it's so easy.

Speaker 1:

Oh wait, are you talking about the big US? Oh, look at one. I talked to a big fan of those. I got the chart, the chart Trudery board. The chart Trudery board.

Speaker 2:

This is because I put, fucking put some on me, on it and mozzarella and.

Speaker 1:

I could never put with one of those.

Speaker 4:

Honey, peppercorn honey like that's as big as your driver head.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but it's so easy to keep it square and stable, like, but there's no fucking way I'm putting that in my golf bag. No, but it, it rolls it well, holds line, well, it's, it's, it's a, it's a really good putter. But I can't look at a fucking Madison Square Garden sphere in my bag, dude, it draws way too much attention. It's, that's that, maybe that's why I put LED lights on it.

Speaker 1:

Putted with it is because if I put it well with it, I knew I couldn't game it.

Speaker 2:

I guarantee you would put really well with it. It's you've never tried it.

Speaker 1:

No, I can't even, I don't even want to.

Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, I'm telling you, it's so easy to. It's so easy to keep this base square. It's. It's very easy to roll putts with that thing, but it's fucking ugly.

Speaker 1:

I just think that's why I'm.

Speaker 2:

That's why I'm so curious to try. There there are new one, the link one or whatever it's called. Yeah, Stephen Jackson has it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you can try it Wednesday.

Speaker 2:

It, it. It looks like a blade. But lab is on to something they really are like. I mean, I know their whole gimmick thing with their like little gyrosphere thing, whatever. Like that Is kind of gimmicky, but I believe it because I've rolled the, the fucking MSG sphere putter and it keeps its it keeps its square. It's very it's very easy to keep it online and square and you know that's I mean I'm curious to try that, but I just can't. I can't do the mallet, and especially that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's I. That's too much.

Speaker 2:

But if you feel like you really need to drop more putts, that might be the way to go. But you better get a big bag because that should better not hang over the edges of your. It's going to look like one of those things you put in your bag.

Speaker 4:

That looks like an umbrella when you travel on it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's like it's like the umbrella and a pina colada. It's hanging over the edge, hangs over you should you should chat up, taught about it.

Speaker 4:

I don't need that. And see, have him try to convince you because he loves those things.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, Todd changes every fucking week. So that's that putter, though he's been gaming that putter for a long time, but it's good and that's, that's a, that's a non ego thing.

Speaker 2:

Like. To me it's an ego thing, probably. So I know that I could probably put better with it, but I just can't. I can't do it because I don't care about score that much, you know all right.

Speaker 1:

The open championship 151st at Royal Liverpool. Let's see. I started watching a little bit of live at today. See the 17th. They changed something on the 17th A new part three whole converted from a former part four whole. New generation of challengers to world number one. Scotty Shevlar is barely voting age. Last time the open was at Hoy Lake, while number two John Rom could legally couldn't legally order a drink in America. So it's been a while. Let's see what else we anything new? See the tire woods in 2015. Yeah, it's the open. It's going to be the open. Historic course. Cam Smith's going for the defense. Everybody in the top 10 in the world is in this. Everybody in the FedEx top 10 is in this. It's, it's a major. It's a major.

Speaker 4:

So yeah, I know, matt, you're not a fan of Rick Shields, but I he put out one of his videos where he plays the open championship. A lot of people aren't a fans, which is cool. I don't have?

Speaker 1:

I just I don't know. I like I think early Rick Shields was amazing. I'm not a fan of modern Rick Shields, definitely changed a lot but anyway.

Speaker 4:

so he played him and his two buddies when played the break 75 thing at Royal Liverpool and that place looks very sick when you get to see it from that perspective. From that perspective. I would recommend it because that I don't know a ton about Royal Liverpool. I remember watching it but seeing the way those holes are laid out, how skinny those fairways are, there's like no rough. It's just either fairway or two foot long hay. It's very cool to see. So if you want to learn more about the course, that's a good one to watch and probably no laying up. We'll have some info about it.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, I think they're over there.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I think during this week, during open week, we see a lot of like post about Scotland golf, Ireland golf, you know like we see a lot of the like the link style golf, Nick Fowdo commercials.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And shout out Sepp, stratka Square, let's go. What? No, I'm just kidding, I do love.

Speaker 1:

Sepp.

Speaker 2:

Stratka. But I, when I see these courses like I know I saw some post about the Renaissance Club that Tom Doke did and a lot of these like link style golf courses it just every time I see it I've never seen it before, I've never been over the pond, so forgive me, but I've seen a lot of it this week and it just like reaffirms my feeling for band and like I just want to get back. I've seen a lot of pictures this week about those courses over there and Royal River Pool, you know, barrick, a lot of them, and I just I just want to go play that style of golf again because I'm band and the closest that we have to it here in Vegas and it's a blast and I loved seeing at the Scottish Open. I love seeing like warries hat blowing off and like that shit is so much fun. I cannot wait until we get there next year because I count down the days every single week like I'm going to get there and then the next couple of weeks like it is the most fun that you'll have playing golf. That style of golf is so much different than what we play on a normal basis and I want to get over there one of these days to play that like the originals you know, but band and is I can't stress it enough like it's going to be a blast. Another band and fucking rant.

Speaker 1:

But I say way to take the US Open. Championship and turn it into a band and rant.

Speaker 2:

But that. But that's the style of golf. Like it's, but it's. It's the style of golf. That is a shit ton of fun and that's why. I like to open especially after playing band in you know a couple times. A lot more respect for it, Totally 100%. Like I can't wait to watch the wind blow. Like I want to see the wind fucking blow in their face. Turn the fucking fan on like it's. It's a blast. It's going to be breezy to their hands, yeah, and these guys are playing for something different, like they're not playing. They're not playing for their soul, they're playing for money. So it's I'm more excited for the open this year than I have been in the past, especially since I've now been to bed, and twice. So it's, it's a style of golf that I really respect and I want to. I want to watch on TV.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I love waking up early to watch the open.

Speaker 1:

It's like I was just looking at the TV schedule and you know East East Coast, it's got you know Friday a 1 30 am, that's that's 10. Yeah, 10, 30 here.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's on.

Speaker 4:

That's on the clock and watch during the yeah, watching the night. Yep, get up early for your family's awake and watch.

Speaker 1:

Thursday and Friday 1 30 am before it was yeah, 1 30 am to 4 am Eastern on Peacock. Saturday 5 to 7 am on USA, 7 am to 3 pm on NBC. Sunday 4 to 7 on USA and 7 to 2 on NBC.

Speaker 2:

This is that late night cereal golf. We got the 1 am eating fucking Captain Crunch.

Speaker 1:

Hey you'll. You'll be happy to know, joe. I did very well on my incredibly low carbs consumption over this this weekend. Didn't divulge in any of the goodies at the arena. I had a steak salad at Holsteins.

Speaker 2:

I was the ranch.

Speaker 1:

The ranch have there was there in the salad dressing.

Speaker 2:

No, it was, it was an oil. It was an oil yeah no croutons.

Speaker 1:

It had cucumbers and tomatoes and mint and peanuts little carbon peanuts, but those are good carbs, and I didn't. I didn't get any ice cream, though, and they got ice cream everywhere, so would you use for salad dressing, just water. No, it was that it came with some oil. That was on it.

Speaker 2:

I didn't get ran Did you look up the nutrition facts on that I did not.

Speaker 1:

I just saw a steak salad and went OK, we got that.

Speaker 4:

We went to there.

Speaker 1:

We went to the brew pub right there at the park and I had a lettuce wrapped burger. Didn't eat my fries.

Speaker 2:

How many carbs in lettuce?

Speaker 1:

Not enough to matter. Zero, that's great. So yeah, I'm happy, I'm proud of you, I'm proud of you, I'm happy Dad.

Speaker 2:

Dad, you're doing a great job.

Speaker 1:

I drank a whole lot of water. That's for a father of four?

Speaker 2:

Well, father of five, if you counter.

Speaker 1:

OK, so let's get our Jeremy. You're up for the picks.

Speaker 2:

I'll go through the odds real quick.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

to one how many zeros, joe. Four 225 and four zeros 2500.

Speaker 2:

Is that 2500 to one 250,000?

Speaker 1:

to one. No, not 250,000 to one 2500 to one.

Speaker 2:

It looks like, yeah, 2500 to one, that's what it is. I might just have to put a couple of dollars. Yeah right, he might have himself a week you put $2 on that and he fucking miraculously wins, that's five grand. It's not going to happen, but hey, we're in Vegas, all right, jeremy.

Speaker 1:

There's like so this is a hard one to pick, really.

Speaker 4:

Because I want to go with Rory, I want to go with Ricky, I want to go with Scotty, but I'm going to go with Victor Hoplin I think he is dude.

Speaker 2:

I mean he's shown up in previous majors 16 to one. He's going to get some bad breaks, so I bet he needs he needs to get some good breaks. He needs that puck luck Because he's had bad puck luck in the past. Yep, all right, joe, I'm going to go and I want to take Ricky.

Speaker 1:

But you know, tom Kim played great at the Scottish Open.

Speaker 2:

I think I think I'm going to take Tommy Fleetwood at 15 to one. I think I'm going to take Tommy Fleetwood at 15 to one. I think I'm going to take Tommy Fleetwood at 15 to one. I think I'm going to take Tommy Fleetwood at 15 to one Leaf, I don't know. Yeah, 15 to one.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if there's another player.

Speaker 2:

That's Fairly well known that People want to see. When, like you know, a Fina, when it took him a long time to win, people wanted to see Fina to win. I think a lot of people want to see Fleetwood win. I wouldn't.

Speaker 1:

It wouldn't bother me if he won.

Speaker 2:

No, I think I think Fleetwood is very likeable and I think a lot of people want to see him win. I'm hoping he's been playing great golf. I just I, I feel like Fleetwood winning would be really good for the game and it would I got two Brits I want to take.

Speaker 1:

I took Fitzpatrick and the one and done which, by the way, we're getting destroyed and I got I would love to see Terrell Haddon win this, but I think I'm going to stick with Fitsie and and go, matt Fitzpatrick. What is odds, joe? You're on mute 35 to one 35.

Speaker 2:

35 to one. Yeah, I don't know what Rob's saying in the chat, but it looks like it's ASL Joe 38, las Vegas. What the heck is that.

Speaker 1:

Rob.

Speaker 2:

This is not a well in semester, Rob.

Speaker 1:

As a, as a, as. I think he's trying to call you an ass, or a, or Massa. It's Massa or ass. It's one of those two.

Speaker 4:

We are very un-American.

Speaker 1:

Very, didn't take any Americans. How do you think the live guys are going to do so? The live guys you got so data golf has. Let's see. If we run down Kepka and then Cameron Smith, then they have this is an. This is just and the rankings, not in a row. Then Bryson, then Reed. Dj was down here somewhere, which was kind of surprising. Yeah, they got Justin Thomas down there.

Speaker 2:

Let's see where did they have?

Speaker 1:

Oh there he is right there he's A head of phenal, but behind Mori Kawa on their Listing.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. I mean, I think I think Ricky is probably going to be the top American. That's how I'm feeling lately.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if that's going to be accurate, but More than do you think he's going to be ahead of Scheffler.

Speaker 2:

Oh, his iron play is just so damn good right now. Yeah, and he's got a great win game, so I don't know. I don't know. Ricky's playing well. Scott, he's obviously playing well. Those are the top two Americans, though in my opinion Ricky might be a hopeful shot, but that's your long shot. No, a hopeful shot like hopeful. I want to see Ricky do well. I'm sure a lot, of a lot of people want to see him do well, but Scheffler is going to be up there. Scheffler is probably top 20, easily Top 10 most likely, but I think I want to say Scheffler and Ricky are going to be the top two. Americans Could be wrong, but that's how I feel currently.
