Joe:

I the. I think that's the best VGK hat I've ever seen. It's a good one, i got it at the game. So Theo woke up singing that this morning and my wife took him to school and he had her play it over and over and over on the way to school singing. We Are The Champion. So yeah, of course, always shout out VGK, love them. This is a Chasing Daylight podcast, if you didn't know, this is not a hockey podcast, this is a golf podcast, but we love the Vegas Golden Knights out here. Matt is not in attendance. We are without a dad. We're under babysitter supervision and we brought in Eric Greenlee this week to jump in with us and talk some stuff. But thanks for tuning in. We don't know where we're going. Like I said, we have no supervision this week. We're without Uncle Matt. Dad Matt, he's in Alabama, so he's out of town. But let's just go.

Jeremy:

Yeah, he's going to be there. He's going to either be really happy that we did this or really upset. So let's play right now.

Joe:

in a couple of days, Not much in between with him.

Aarik Greenley:

You blame it on me, it'll be okay. Yeah, but so big?

Joe:

Oh yeah, all day VGK, all day Go Vegas. Oh, he's got that. He's got the threads of envy going on. Is that a tat? It is, wow, true believer. Can't wait for you to get out here Now.

Aarik Greenley:

I have to get one on this side that matches for the golden nights? Yeah.

Joe:

I was talking to my brother and I don't know if I mentioned on a previous podcast, but the first year we were like, if they win, we're getting tattoos. They meet my brother and they won and he's like, are we doing it? It's like I thought that was just the first year. So it's potentially in the works. I don't know, We'll see, I'm going to get mine. So yeah, let's just talk about this past weekend real quick And then we're just going to go off the rails. Like Keegan Bradley out in Connecticut, What a great looking course man. That shit is prime up there And I heard they take great care of their players up there Designated field. A lot of players out there. Rory was close, I had him in the one and done with birdies and bourbon And I think I finished. I think I was the winner last week in the one and done. So that was great to see Nice. And then Keegan Bradley with the club twirls with the putter and everything. He held it down, man, He held it down in the jailbird Yep, another jailbird.

Aarik Greenley:

The jailbird.

Joe:

I want to see Callaway is doing like a preorder for it.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah Well, ricky. And then Wyndham. And this and the funny part is, nobody cared when Paparez was using it right. No, Yeah, Yeah. And so the lady who taught Pat Bradley's aunt I'm sorry, Keegan Bradley's aunt Pat Bradley taught me how to play golf.

Joe:

Really.

Aarik Greenley:

So Pat Bradley right, she was the first kind of female Jack Nicholas, if you will. So I actually have the golf clubs she used to win the first million dollars, like I have them.

Joe:

Wow, where was that at? What is that?

Jeremy:

country.

Joe:

What do you mean. Where were you taught how to?

Aarik Greenley:

play Where? like in Texas? What are you talking about? Like, I'm just like I'm talking state.

Joe:

I'm talking like county city. Oh, here in Dallas.

Aarik Greenley:

Okay.

Jeremy:

Okay.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah. So I always thought about like messaging in him and seeing if he had any desire to have them, which he should have them, right, like it's right, right, that'd be awesome. I definitely, like I need a pair of shoes. I need one of them. Pairs of golf, like I might give them to you. We need a little trade. He's tight with Jordan man.

Joe:

He's tight, do you like it?

Aarik Greenley:

A little round at a grow 23 for us, but that makes me want more. Yeah, because nobody else has them. Like you, don't have that shoe. Yeah, that's true, this one here is. Yeah, they're different, that's for sure, yeah it's probably the worst Jordan ever, but whatever.

Jeremy:

I swear he wears like size six shoes. I don't know if it's just the style that makes his feet look tiny, but every time I just can't unsee it. Yeah.

Joe:

I've not had feet, i didn't say I don't know He's an interesting guy man, what a great player And what a timed peak man I mean on a designated event. He's been close recently too.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, it just shows like put your head down and keep grinding, keep grinding and that will happen. Those good golfers like that, not that they're not all good, but just it's good to see the guy who works really really hard for it to pay off.

Joe:

Yeah, i love Keeg's. I mean, and it was so drastic like my wife saw on, she's like 26 under. Wow, these guys are good. I'm like, well, it's a little bit different. of course It's a little easier, but that 17th hole is coming in like it's pretty tight. That's a tight drive right there. No, for sure It's a little scary And Ches Revy the flat brim captain of the world. I love seeing flat brims out there Me and Eric were talking about it before we jumped on but I love Ches man. Ches is just like a good guy. I saw that video of him at Cheesecake Factory watching his highlights. Did you guys see that? That was awesome man Like and he is a hardcore flat brimmer on the hats.

Aarik Greenley:

Two sizes.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, he can fit more than a couple of teas out there. for sure A couple sausages like just right up in there Snacks. Yeah, just a little beef and cheddar like a little snack pack right up in there, just in. Just pull it out. Feel a little faint on hole 13, just pull it out. What have you drank today Me? I don't know. I was five, six, i don't know.

Jeremy:

Is that it?

Joe:

Yeah, that's what makes the podcast good. Right Agreed, i'm the antagonist. Welcome to the game, because I need help. I'm like the bratty young child and dad's not home. You know, i'm with you, homie.

Aarik Greenley:

Jeremy, you been doing anything good?

Jeremy:

No.

Joe:

Jeremy's taking care of his kids. He's his wife's out of town, so he's doing good stuff. Yeah, wife's out of town.

Jeremy:

No, I've been doing keto for a few weeks. That's about all I've been doing.

Joe:

That is true, yeah.

Jeremy:

So it's prepping for band and really got to start that year in advance. So I don't die out there in Oregon.

Joe:

You'll be fine. You'll be fine. I thought I was going to die when we first went to band, and it's you will achieve your dreams when you go out there.

Jeremy:

Looking forward to it, nice.

Joe:

But the newest thing on the Jeremy ticket is he has 100% left title list. He is full mirror train.

Jeremy:

I do love my irons, for sure, and I love the hats, but they're still a part of me. that's like man, i should really go back to the T100s, especially when I hit one of those shots where you're like why am I playing these clubs again? Like the Stinger where you hit the thin one, where you have that long par 4, where you're like I don't really feel confident looking down at this 4 iron right now And I need to get this 225 in the air.

Joe:

They're beautiful, though They're beautiful. They're great and they feel wonderful, but I mean Jeremy's got the hat and he's got the socks. I know He's got the boxer briefs.

Jeremy:

Drinking a coupe And yeah, drinking the cool idea.

Joe:

Yeah The sake. Is it one of your dreams to go out there and get fitted by a Mr Mirror himself and forge it on site? I haven't.

Jeremy:

I haven't thought about that, to be honest. How much does?

Joe:

it cost, do you know? Do you know how much that would cost? No clue.

Aarik Greenley:

I legit have no clue. I know how much thousands it. I know how much it costs to get three wedges from Vokey himself and like he works with you that much. I know, but I don't know anything about anything else.

Joe:

What's that? run Like 1500? Two D It's 30.

Aarik Greenley:

I think it's. it's either 28 or 35. last time I knew about it And you have to get there to Oceanside, but he works there with you for like three or four hours. Wow, but that's pretty good. He custom, like, makes you three wedges, like, like grinds them himself. I don't know if he does it anymore, but yes, but you take this.

Joe:

I'll draw the Sharpie on it. You do it.

Aarik Greenley:

They're made specifically for you, for how you move it through the turf and for what you kind of like to see and kind of what he thinks you need. So it's a little bit of a collab, it's not?

Joe:

terrible. I wouldn't say that's terrible pricing, but I mean for him. Yeah, cool experience, yeah Like super dope Like, i think, golf rabble.

Jeremy:

You know golf rabble account. I think he went and did that because he was. He had a fitting with him. I'm sure it was probably a Sort of like a hey post, the hell out of this and we'll give you a good deal, but not that they would need it. That would be cool man That would be. I mean I'd love to go down to the tidal of center, you know, just to do a normal fitting or any. Any of those places, the kingdom or Eric and Dallas, just thinking the official like cool Equipment, not just the normal, the normal.

Joe:

Go to the store and you know, up champions great, but I I Would love one day to go down to the BGT Factoring it with Blair Phillips, right, that's his name.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, no, it's Blair Philippia. Yeah, i would look, i would literally three miles from my house. Yeah across the street from the bar that I'd sit at every day.

Joe:

Yeah, i mean like my BGT shaft, i love it so much like and for those that are doubters, it's, it's truly remarkable what what it does for your game. But I would love to get down there one day and actually Get fitted by Blair on a on a putter, like I mean, he's obviously a scientist like to do his madman right.

Aarik Greenley:

Dude like as much as I would like to think I know about golf and how much. And whatever. like that dude starts talking to me and I'm like him and like I need you to slow down, just like the scientists thing on me, yeah, like I need you to like dumb it, like way it doesn't compute and I I think I was really good at what I did out there, just because I didn't hang out with reps, i hung out with the engineers and R&D guys so I would like and Somewhat intelligent. But then Blair starts talking and I'm just like, yep, i'm a dumb, yeah, yeah, yeah, i'm toast Go back to NASA, blair, yeah, correct. Dude, anytime you guys want to come here.

Joe:

I know, man, we were. We were thinking, so you, it's text message like it's not that big a deal. Yeah, me, dan and Bob are heading up to Chambers Bay end of next month and we Before we were thinking going to Chambers Bay and Salish Cliffs and Golden Mountain, i was like let's go to Frisco, man, let's go to PGA Frisco. Let's do that before PGA championship shows up there because it's gonna skyrocket in price, 100%. We can go. We can go hang out with Eric, go hit up Bgt. We can go, you know, play some G with AG himself in the flesh. And It was, it was so close and I was like, let's, let's just go do chambers, you know, that was, that was my call, so, but that would that. That is totally on the docket one of these days, like I want to go play Frisco. Have you seen? have you seen BJ Frisco? Have you been in that area?

Aarik Greenley:

It's that far as away from you like our, from my house. I can be there in probably like 20 minutes.

Joe:

Yeah, the place looks sick. And then I saw it on the PGA senior, the senior PGA championship, and I was like the camera angles aren't doing it for me too much, but I'm sure the place is just.

Aarik Greenley:

Have you played it? And it's actually supposed to play it today, but my boy around Luda Vegas today, so that's why we didn't go play it. But It's two courses. They have a part three course. They have, i mean, practice like a, putting green, like a. They got like a night course to putting green course, if you will, bays to hit golf balls, to teach food, booze bars all over the place, like it's. It's a, it's legit, like it's a complex, like it.

Joe:

Yeah, i mean it's the home of PJ now like yeah, i think, videos of people in their building like and there's, like you know, like projectors on the floor and everything, and like it looks sick.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, i mean that's there's an, it's an, there's an omni, like they built out there, like they did downtown Dallas. I mean it's People do. People are already doing like stay cations there, like it's yeah, wow. Yeah, that's what I saw when I was pulling it up.

Joe:

I was like dude, let's go there, let's, let's just go do it and It was just We just decided on chambers. You know we're escaping Vegas. You know we're gonna get a little cooler weather. We're not going to Texas dust bowl situation.

Aarik Greenley:

You should definitely not come here in July. Yeah, I mean, it's already been a hundred every day, which is literally a month early. So we haven't even hit a hundred. Yet out here Oh, dude, it's a it's been raining non-stop, so the humidity has been like 60% and then it's been over a hundred every day. Wow, and that's normal for like mid-July. So when July hits, it's usually a little bit over 60 days, over a hundred in a row.

Joe:

Yeah, so you guys are screwed. You were frozen in the winter and are gonna be melted in the summer correct, that's.

Aarik Greenley:

That's our two-seater. Melt and froze yes, and you get five days in September where it's 75 every day, and then That's your golf season, correct? I got new golf clubs. I haven't played golf you got new golf clubs.

Joe:

What'd you get? PXG? I Mean no man, i'm a good guesser.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, i did get my putter. Finally, though. What's that? So the guy who taught Zach Johnson how to putt taught me. So I finally got the putter. I got Zach's putter.

Joe:

So what is it? a futura?

Aarik Greenley:

No, it's a PXG, milled a Seymour putter for him Sick, and I have the backup. So you're draining everything I will not miss. Oh Like, even like it's like it's lazy, like it's milled in, like it says Zach on it, like I have the Ryder Cup back up milled, milled Zach into the face, in the back, in the back on the bumpers.

Jeremy:

You don't see it? Yeah, let's see it. Yes.

Joe:

Okay, look at this guy. He's just I roll like, just kill on the game. He's just like, hey, i got, i got Ryder Cup captain putter Fucking Eric Greenley man. Okay, oh, zach, backup with the blue, with the painter tape.

Jeremy:

Oh, Wow, that's crazy. Oh no, let's see that you have a pro 23.

Joe:

Proto 22 or Z2. Okay, so does he have a. He have his own putter coming out.

Jeremy:

Look at this guy now that is. That is a great-looking putter.

Joe:

Center shifter to see more. Yeah, what's the face like? yeah, i mean, see that yeah.

Jeremy:

Is it milled?

Joe:

is that a plate with can?

Jeremy:

you see it screwed on, screwed in plate. I can't, i don't yeah, yeah, yeah, it's kind of you see the mill. Yeah, yeah, i can see the mill That looks awesome.

Joe:

Right captain and 20 years, you're gonna be rich.

Jeremy:

Man.

Joe:

I remember when the potters came out.

Jeremy:

They were like the coolest little gimmicky sort of putter, but it actually works.

Aarik Greenley:

The what.

Jeremy:

I'm sorry the original Seymour's. I remember when they came out, yeah, that with the red dot on the back They were, but that thing looks way sick, me and Jeremy.

Joe:

I think we were kind of I don't know if I was talking to you or Dan about it the other day when we played pram But the center shaft that the new lab golf putter, looks pretty sick like the link one, it's center shafted. But we were all saying like I don't know if we can do center shaft looks kind of odd to me But it does help. I mean, it's it's hard to miss with the center center shaft, like it's hard, but it's it's our ego that we're like I, i can't do a center shaft, i got hell, ego and me you know.

Aarik Greenley:

So I do it. I do with it obviously almost every day. But The people who come in for like putter, fittings and all that kind of stuff and I asked them Do you want what you want or do you want what you need Right? Yeah, so it depends on if you're left or right I dominant. Depends on how you line up certain lines and Then that's what you can use. Well, the guys on TV blah, blah for. So, for starters, like you're not them, so stop like you're not good. And If you're gonna stand on a pudding green for eight hours a day in practice, then it's okay. You can learn to putt with anything, but let's be your stick, you're not gonna do that. So you get what you line up the best and then you kind of figure it out.

Joe:

But center shaft putters work for left or right I dominant people and They're super easy to point I I would say for me like totally, i'm 100% guaranteed, accepted that I probably need like some sort of mallet or center shaft or like lab golf putter. But My ego and me, like I just I can't, i can't look down on it, i don't like the fucking head covers for them, you know, and that's all ego. Like I putt well with mine, you know, seven out of ten rounds I guess. But yeah, i guarantee you I could putt better if I, if I went to something else and actually played a putter that Was meant for me, although I did go to club champion with Julian and and he threw me on the What is it? this Simon lab? I can't remember. Yeah, it's the Sam Sam Sam Sam labs, right, i think. But he's like yeah, this butter is made for you. I'm like well, doesn't always seem like it's made for me sometimes, but I Can deal with that left or right, i dominant. Well, you were the one who told me about that fucking Rockefeller Jay-Z diamond thing I dominant, so your right, i dominant.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah so you have a line in the cavity. The tendency for a right I dominant person who's right handed is to aim that putter right.

Joe:

I have a line on the top line, not in the top is on the cavity. Yeah, it's on the top, perfect line.

Aarik Greenley:

I think it's a dot. Fine, you just need something on the top or you need nothing on the putter. That's the easiest thing to line up for a right. I dominant right-handed person.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, i think I asked you about this And you're like yeah, you're good, yeah, you should drain everything. stop You should be. stop shit in the bed. So you told me you said stop missing putts you asshole.

Aarik Greenley:

I mean, I probably didn't say it like that.

Jeremy:

I probably. Oh man all right, guys are fitting. Yeah, hey, yeah, it's super important.

Joe:

I mean people. I mean people will spend $600 on a driver and won't spend what they should on a putter, you know.

Aarik Greenley:

Correct all day long and even it's the most important, even the all-in UST or the LA golf puttershaft. You're like well, i'm not paying $100 for a putter shaft, that's too expensive, like you just paid $500 for a vintage that you've given the babies for 30.

Joe:

For real, i have a. I swear I shot him out every week. But my sales manager at work he is. He just dropped money on the Scotty camera and I was like yo, you should look into like actually getting fitted. And look into like the PGT shaft or the all-in shaft or the LA golf shaft, or get fitted for it, cause it can totally help your game Like it's the most important club in your bag, 100%. I hate I don't like practicing putting. I don't. I'm not the biggest fan of putting Like. I like fucking flopping shit to the whole Like, but it's, it's so important Like my best round ever. Like I was just training everything and it's the putter is 100% the most important club in your bag.

Aarik Greenley:

Like totally And people would neglect that. No, I think people should look at it more like an iron fitting or a driver fitting right. You're doing everything you can to make it do this.

Joe:

Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

So if you, if you hit it two feet and can't make it like it's just what it is, like you're not, but from you know, 10 feet, 12 feet, 20 feet, when you're lagging putts and everything starts instead of missing it by three cups, you missed it by one either way. Or stuff that burns edges. What if it lips in from that distance? and then the distance control gets better, like that's where you stop three putting, that's where every now and then you roll that long one in just cause and it holds a lot better. And that's the stuff that people, i think, need to realize a little bit better.

Joe:

Yeah, when I threw the BGT stability tour shaft in thank you, eric And it immediately I saw like ball speed maintained on off center hits and line held better on off center hits, like that's. That's what it does. You're not, you're not going to fucking push it two feet out here or pull it two feet this way. It's just going to maintain your misses way better. And I noticed it when I had that shaft put in. I noticed it instantly, like first round, like 100%, like like tighter dispersion, totally love it and so good. And I haven't changed it, i haven't changed it no reason to. Exactly like Matt the tinkerer himself has probably had like 47 putters since I've got my putter. So you know it's what it is.

Jeremy:

I'm comfortable with it yeah, matt's listening right now, so don't hold back you see in here.

Joe:

Oh, we got 16 in the chat.

Aarik Greenley:

That's all, matt, probably right now it's junior harassing me because I threw his putter in a lake before shout out junior turning in.

Joe:

He was almost a guest on the podcast this evening, oh man, so alright. So where do we go from here, guys? I mean, i know, eric you, before we jumped on, you said you had some thoughts on the live PGA tour thing, because you have some insights, you have friends out there that are familiar with the situation. I mean, i would love to hear what you have to say, because we're just, we're just nobody's out here in the desert and you're you're a PXG champion, that's what we're doing right now.

Aarik Greenley:

Go for it. No, it's just like. I think a lot of it's hypocritical and from the standpoint of like the PGA tour so my friend plays on tour like when you sign that piece of paper, when you become a tour player, you basically sign your life away right like lights and, i'm sorry, like what they call likeness and rights and image. Blah, blah, blah. All that stuff.

Joe:

I totally get that like 100%, like you're signing your your likeness away, like.

Aarik Greenley:

And finally, the college players the NCAA, ncaa they finally got like they're getting paid for their name and likeness, like that is totally well deserved 100% and when you do that, the issue is, per PGA tour policy at the time you can play, i can go play Jeremy's golf tour, but it can't be in the same country, like that's the rule. So the first live golf of it was in England. So per your policy, i've done nothing wrong. Not to get to, you know, rescinded their membership like tough break. You shouldn't have done it. But whatever, per your policy I can play Jeremy's golf tour as long as it's not in the same country. So I go to England and play golf. Then you tell me I can't come back. I've I've not done anything wrong. The next event was that pumpkin rich, the tour was in Canada.

Joe:

Per your policy, i've done everything right so per the policy, as long as there's not another tour event happening in the same country at the same time, you can play that is true, interesting stuff people don't know.

Aarik Greenley:

That's why I say it's very hypocritical. And then it's like, well, why can't we come back? will you play another tour, per your policy? I can. I've done everything you asked me to. And then, even this year, when they started changing and this is why I call the PGA Tour the NCAA, because where did the PGA Tour randomly get over 200 million dollars?

Joe:

yeah, right, so instead of it it was there, it was there now they have to pay people, which they should be paying people right.

Aarik Greenley:

But, like my buddy who plays on tour, did everything that tour asked him to do. He almost won Pebble Beach, which, when you finish top 10 per your policy easy there, man, i'll get to that in a second um per their policy. You have to do that at least. Maybe lose my train of thought. I'm reading that thing from Matt um, as long as you finish top 10, you get in the next event, as long as it's not invitational. Um, obviously, winning fixes, everything that's awesome, but he almost won Pebble Beach. He's six alternate for waste management because the PGA Tour changed it to a designated event. He's six alternate for Riviera because they changed the status. That's why Thomas Peters went to live. So back to the first guy. How do I do exactly what you tell me to? and I don't have a job for two weeks like that's not okay yeah then Thomas Peters is 34th in the world, he literally can do whatever he wants to do and he was an alternate Riviera and I can't say to the guy but dude, good for you for going to live, go get your money. Like, how do you 34th in the world and you're an alternate in a golf tournament? like? that's? to me that's unacceptable for the work you put in and what you've done. Right, it's just. And there's such a short memory and hypocritical memory because all the PGA Tour did was batch the European Tour, which is now DP. Right, well, that's the third best golf tour on earth. They always said the corn for a tour was better than that. Now, all of a sudden, they're buddy, buddy right now. All of a sudden. Okay, we can't beat lifts and now we just have to join up with them. It's just, there's so much hypocrisy and they need to make it about like Brando Shamblou used to live here and I'm glad I never rented that guy in a bar. But there's so much hypocrisy and it's like it's just literally, it's just golf dude yeah leave the politics out of it. I don't want to hear about freaking Muslims and war crimes and like it's golf. So, eric, would you?

Joe:

consider yourself a soul golfer.

Aarik Greenley:

I'm not a soul golfer like you like I'm not a fuck man come on.

Joe:

I'm the only soul golfer I know like you got to be a soul golfer with me.

Aarik Greenley:

I'm not a soul.

Joe:

I don't, i could actually like that's how much of a soul golfer I man dude. A lot of people just hate on Shamblou man. That dude's golf mind is incredible though.

Aarik Greenley:

I agree, i'm not the golf mind. It's the ego, ego driven ego, and it's the well they're taking reporters like me and Saudi Arabian, beheading them.

Joe:

Dude what does it have?

Aarik Greenley:

to do with golf. Yeah, like not all Muslims are terrorists, not all white people are races, not all black people are criminal. Like you can't just which they do. You can't lump all that stuff. Like Jack Nicholas I think it was Nicholas or Gary player or whatever one of them. Do you see that letter that they wrote? are you talking?

Joe:

about the Tom Watson one. Sorry, tom Watson. Yeah, yeah, read that letter.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah, he's still waiting for an apology from Saudi Arabia for them finding a road trip like seriously dude, yeah, like what, what minds?

Joe:

like where do you live? here's my thing is like I guarantee there is a lot of people that are members at Augusta national that do shit ton of business with Saudi Arabia and Dubai and all that. So does very much, yeah, and even even the DP World World Tour holds an event out there, like what's the fucking difference?

Aarik Greenley:

there's no difference, then Roy needs to stop playing the Dubai Masters. Yeah, exactly, stop winning the race to Dubai. He needs to get rid of his. It's a fucking race to Dubai. And his answer is was that the Jermara Emirates? yeah, yeah which one are we doing?

Joe:

yeah, that's me, and about the hypocrisy, about it like that's the part that drives me nuts. Yeah, i told I see that and I have no problem with people going to get their money me either. No problem, like I would. I guarantee you 100%, 99.9%, i would have done the fucking same thing. Yeah, you know, i wish.

Aarik Greenley:

Joseph would go. I wish he would go.

Joe:

Yeah, i mean, if you're offered, i mean, and you're lower in the rankings, like what's to stop you yeah?

Aarik Greenley:

you know, and because you're there too. I understand you're good at and you love which dude, but you're there to make money, like that's where I hate hearing Justin Thomas and these guys like I do it for love again, dude, stop. Yeah, no, yeah, you do it because obviously you're really good at it and you're one of the best in the universe at it which I agree with, but, dude, like you're doing it because it affords you a lifestyle yeah so if you, i bet you they wouldn't do it very long if they shoot 24 hours or days.

Joe:

It's the DJ example. Like DJ wants to fish, yeah, and that's why he took the money to mean soon ends? yeah, exactly 100%. Like, dj is set for life like and he can fish whenever he wants. He can go to the Stanley Cup final whenever he wants, because he's Wayne Gretzky's you know son-in-law. Like, he's good man, like, and if I was in the position, i would. It would be very difficult for me to say no. Like there's a when it was not an option. Probably no way. Yeah, probably no way that I would ever say no. Like like, you're good man, you're straight, you can play golf when you want to, not when you have to correct. That's what it's about yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

I said like, and as much as I say that stuff about, like JT and Rory, like dude, i think the monohand kind of cornered those guys and made them the poster child. Totally, yeah, totally.

Joe:

And now they now they're taking the blame for it like they, he, he should be writing them blank checks like under the table to be like hey, bro, sorry well, that's what's going to be interesting to see, like, or it, and do we, do we evolve into a situation where these players get invested and get stocks in the PDA tour? because he said everybody that was loyal to the PGA is going to get, is going to get, theirs, basically? so that's what's going to be really interesting to see because, like Rory took a lot of shit, he's still taking shit, i mean, and he and JT, everybody, like. It's going to be interesting to see and I would really love to hear from Tiger, like, on this situation, but it's going to be, it's going to be wild before we hear from Tiger on this difference between them being compensated on the back end for not leaving, and it's the same shit? yeah, because now the money is from the same spot correct same spot. Yeah, it's so different.

Aarik Greenley:

It's interesting man it's a cat like, like Oprah, you get a cat you get a cat, yeah, just give me an 89 Hauna cord hatchback.

Joe:

I'm good man. Oh, look at you. As long as I, as long as I got a like an mb3 plug in, i'm straight good gas mileage. It just taped in the face of the car, the cassette with the cord, like let's go with a Discman oh wow, that was my first car was an 89 Hauna cord hatchback and it got fucking stolen by MS13 gang members and there was when I got it back from the police after two weeks it was filled with like tied not the liquid detergent but the powdered detergent and it got all over the fucking place and MS13 tags. I wonder what they did in that thing that they had to fill right like what the fuck man was, that the MS12 gang members remember the movie the other guys? yes, yeah when they stole his pill and Mark Wahlberg almost people had a gang hanging in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, mark Wahlberg is a resident to Vegas man. He's a summit rapper like hey, mark, if you're listening, we need to play some. And I checked off Red Rock Country Club today, so I only have two more courses in town, well, three if you count the Nellis Air Force Base course. I have to play Shadow Creek and Summit, and then I've played everything in Vegas. You've never played Shadow Creek. I've never played Shadow Creek. I'm not yeah, i don't work for PXG and Bob Parsons, or I've never played, yeah, that's why have you played it? how many times have you played it?

Aarik Greenley:

I don't know, steve, when dude, if you're here, i'll punch you in the throat, hahahahahaha.

Joe:

I can't wait till the next time I see you. I'll be there later hey, i got your review journal. So uh, yeah perfect all right, what else we got? yeah, jeremy, i know Jeremy City questions and Jeremy has to be able to talk a shit ton of questions for Eric, so we're doing pretty good without dad. Here we're at 35 minutes. I'm pretty surprised.

Jeremy:

I thought we'd be done by now yeah, oh death row records man all eyes on me. Great, great, that'd be good all right, you're ready okay, we rolling the ball back. What's gonna happen? Let's talk about the PXG ball.

Joe:

Yeah.

Jeremy:

When did that come out?

Aarik Greenley:

That has been probably three months, four months, somewhere in there. I'll give it four.

Jeremy:

So that's, there was nothing before that. Right, they never. No correct, never, okay, so three to four.

Aarik Greenley:

Well, i take that back. I take that back. The first year we were alive the engineers had a one year non compete So they tried to make a golf ball then. But basically their answer was Tyler's is really good at what they do And that was, literally, was the answer. So now, with all the patents that he owns and the material that he owns patents on and all that kind of stuff, that's why they he made the golf ball. So I've played left dash for five years and this golf balls basically a left dash. So when they read, do it, it's actually for the first time around, like it's, it's impressive. But I would say the next round they probably will just change the cover a little bit, which I would assume, and that's probably all it needs to be done. Like it's really really good.

Jeremy:

You think they're going to have maybe a couple of different models or they just going to stick with the one?

Joe:

Are they going to make yellow balls?

Aarik Greenley:

Just stick to the one probably won't be yellow. That's not very, bob Parsons.

Joe:

I'll never. I'll never play it then.

Aarik Greenley:

Okay, i would like to.

Joe:

I would like to.

Jeremy:

So is the left dash. Is that the harder ball?

Aarik Greenley:

I always get confused between the left dot and the left left, So left dot is lower spinning Oh lower spinning than the V Oh lower spinning. Okay, dash is lower spinning And the X and the V will be one X. So if you take a, if you take a pro V, one X and make it spin less and come out flatter and a little firmer, that's a left dash.

Jeremy:

Okay.

Aarik Greenley:

So as far as the golf balls like the AVX and the left dash are probably the two at the time they're probably the two fastest golf balls Like then it's really, really good.

Jeremy:

Trey's been trying to convince me to play the left dash because he feels like it's got the dispersions a little tighter.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, i didn't spin it flat out, just doesn't spin as much.

Jeremy:

Maybe you don't have to try the PXG ball.

Aarik Greenley:

I never, never thought about it, but I think the PXG ball does everything the left dash does. I think the PXG probably spins a little bit more around the green. Okay, i just think they need to make the cover a little bit better, which they will, but again, for the first time around it's, they nailed 98% of it.

Joe:

Now, what would you say to someone that changes their ball for every shot when they play golf? Why are you playing golf. Yeah, this is a question directed at dad.

Jeremy:

Oh Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

You don't need to change golf balls every shot. You don't need to change you know, i need this one off the tee and I need this one in the greens. And I love it when people are like, oh, i love the probi one because it putts so good. I'm like, dude, stop.

Joe:

Oh man, I know Matt's listed and just giving him shit. You know he's. He's sitting on a lake somewhere drinking some Alabama Moonshine Fucking tea or some shit, I don't know. Stopped at the pigly wiggly to get some big knuckles. He's out there in a country. So wish Matt was here, of course, but miss you. Matt The. I saw that a tray was out at golf galaxy the other day and they had the LA golf ball in the store.

Aarik Greenley:

That was surprising to me $70 a dozen.

Joe:

Insane. Who's spending that Like? I stopped playing probi ones because they're $60 with tax now.

Aarik Greenley:

Dude, our golf ball is 39.99.

Joe:

Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

If you're, if you're a military or first responder, it's 35 bucks, yeah, or a meeting 35.

Joe:

45 with tax, like that's. that's tops, dude. Like I mean, i don't lose a shit ton of golf balls, but like it's hard to drop $320 bills on a box of golf balls, like that's. I agree, It's insane, man. And they, they went up last year and they went up the year before that. like they were 46.99 for the pro v's and then they went up to like 52 and now they're like 56. Like it's ridiculous, man. I get it in inflation, but find a way to cut some cost titleists, and that's why. that's why Jeremy's playing mirror now. He's just waiting for the mirror balls.

Jeremy:

Yeah, yeah, mirror wedges, mirror putter.

Joe:

You're going to have fucking sashimi in the middle. Sirlan wrapped with sashimi Wow.

Aarik Greenley:

Jeremy, what else you got for me?

Jeremy:

Oh okay, so let's. so we've had some really low scores lately. Like it seems like it's kind of a trend, like even corn fairy the dude shooting a 58 or 59. Mark players. just I mean obviously players are getting better, but our course is just getting so easy that I mean we're sort of at that place where the skill has passed the difficulty of the golf course and equipment and stuff like that. Or is it just advancements in everything other than the golf course?

Aarik Greenley:

I think that they're just learning to be better and adjusting. If, in my opinion, if the same guy is shooting 59 every week, right Like, but it's it's different players, like. That's why I kind of enjoy watching Keegan, because once they got rid of the belly putter, he really struggled. Yeah, he had to work on other things to like, improve here and improve there and things like that. So I mean it's making the role in the golf ball back. If you hit it 30 past me, you're still going to hit it 30 past me, like it doesn't Like. Instead of you hitting sandwich and I hit pitching wedge, and now you're going to hit pitching wedge and I got to hit drinking seven iron, right Like, you're still taking me away if you're going to roll it back. So I don't think it's that. It's just interesting that when the tour comes here and they play the bar Nelson at Craig Ranch, well, the golf course is too easy. That's why they shot 21 under. Well, that's weird, because at the travelers they were 21 under after the third day.

Joe:

Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

Nobody said a word about it. Well, the guys are just playing well this week to put in the ball in the fairway. It just like it depends on the mood of the time. right Like Jack Nicholas is bitching about the golf ball being hit too far. He hit it 300 in the 80s. Like stop Yeah. Like like you. like you blitzed everybody.

Joe:

Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

Now it's not okay, because you're not a part of it anymore.

Joe:

It's funny because Vrory hits it further than anybody off the tee and he's the bitch into correct.

Aarik Greenley:

I mean it, just It doesn't make sense to me. So, no, i think you're right. You make your game plan. Ches Rebe, i watched him hit his driver on a hole and his ball speed with his driver is 162. Like, tour average is 71 for a driver. Right, so I? it's the guy who doesn't hit it nine miles is winning golf tournaments just as much as the guy hits it nine miles. Right, so it's putting the golf ball in play, it's executing the game plan and, most of all, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter unless you can chip and putt, it's the only thing that matter. Totally So. those guys are making putts and reading greens properly.

Joe:

And if you hit it further, you're going to always hit it further. Yeah, correct, doesn't matter if you roll it back or not. Like, do you think it has anything to do with technology, like now that there's launch monitors available to all these guys and all of that?

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, i mean it's. I think it's cool that you can fine tune it yourself right Like I shouldn't hit the golf ball as far as I do, for. You still have to put the work in too, But. But I learned how to be efficient and do certain things to make that golf ball go. Yeah Right, That's really cool part about golf. but it's the same thing in baseball. Well, this baseball is the same for everybody. The bats aren't Yeah. Tennis ball is the same for everybody. Tennis rackets aren't Yeah Right. Tennis is done laterally and are vertically and you can do different tensions and you can make you know what I mean. Like that, a tennis ball works. Yeah, You make your sweet spot That thing.

Joe:

Correct, it's the same thing. Personalize your sweet spot. Yeah, 100%.

Aarik Greenley:

So they're just better at what they do.

Joe:

Yeah, i think technology might have something to do with it, because they can find where the sweet spot is for them and then fine tune it with hot melts or weights or whatever the case may be. But you know, it's obviously helped a little bit. But I mean, tyre was driving it as far as these guys and that launch monitor technology wasn't there or available back then. So it's, you know, it's one of those things. It's like maybe they had to work a little harder to find that back in the day but and now it's easier to find it, but it's still the same. I mean, you still have to play the course and everybody's playing the same course that you're playing, so Correct.

Aarik Greenley:

So the catch is too, though the other part that's different, especially out there is. What people don't realize is that P730 blade that Rory plays is not anywhere near the same one that you go by on the show.

Joe:

Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah.

Joe:

It's not.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, It's tuned Cosmetically. It looks the same, but it's not the same golf club, Like the drivers, the fairy woods like TaylorMade, Callaway, all that stuff. Like cosmetic, it looks the same. Unless you're holding it, you have no idea how different that stuff really truly is. Yeah, So like in a blade iron, our stuff is very close, our stuff is very close, but we actually have a driver that's never been released And when I tell you that thing does not spin like like your average guy who hits it to 50 is going to fly our driver, our tour driver, to 10. Just is going to fall here Like it's totally different.

Jeremy:

Interesting. So if you take like a blade iron like your example is the 730. So what would be the differences between like Rory's irons and off the shelf? I mean materials, or is it just grinds? you know stuff like that, or how different?

Aarik Greenley:

Yes, all the above. And then right, he likes to see the golf ball come out a certain way.

Joe:

Right.

Aarik Greenley:

So they can adjust the spot to make him, to make him see that and accommodate how he likes to move it if you will.

Joe:

And they like put like tungsten in the correct spot internally.

Aarik Greenley:

It depends. So, like when we did Langer's iron, his four, five and six iron had tungsten in the head that you would never know is there, because it's welded in the head before it's milled And or before it's plated. Sorry to make his longer irons go higher, but it's something that cosmetically you couldn't see, like you would never know it. But again, it just depends on the golfer and what they want. I mean, there's a, so I'll pick on Callaway. So the Callaway paradigm, for the record, is the only driver that beat our GIN6 driver, but it was like a yard and a half.

Joe:

It doesn't look as good, though I'm sure.

Aarik Greenley:

The paradigm.

Joe:

I can't look at the paradigm.

Aarik Greenley:

So the way they did the top, it kind of makes it sit a little whatever. But as far as like performance, like it's really good. But I've personally in my hands I've seen four different versions of that head and you would never know it unless you're touching it.

Jeremy:

One of you know there's a smaller head.

Aarik Greenley:

There's a deeper one one spins more, one spins less. One's more fade, like until you're doing this with it. you would legit never know it. That's how much they fine tune stuff for guys So customizable. It's so interesting, like everything like. even so, i came out of retirement for a week to Caddy in the champion store event. here You retired.

Joe:

Huh, you retired.

Aarik Greenley:

From Caddy Geez, I'm going to punch you Can't wait to see it, My guy. I can literally tell you a minimum of nine golf shots that he hit that. As soon as he hit it we were like kicking. And on a part three I was like he just made a hole in one, But the golf ball he was using didn't spin enough, So it basically hit a wall and it literally fell out of the sky. I mean, it was because there's different versions of the same golf ball And you just have to get the right one. That's why there's so many different versions. That's why there's so many different shafts. Like people love the Ventus, Well, I use that because the guy on TV does. How do you know? the guy on TV has a Ventus? Maybe it's just painted that color. That's the stuff that people don't know.

Joe:

Yeah, and that's something we talked about on previous episodes that you were on Like just painted shafts, which is just crazy mind blowing. I mean, a lot of us play the TR, which is the Tour of this Ventus. I mean, how Is that the same as what these guys are playing on tour, because it is a tour release that has a TR on it? Is that? are we really playing a tour release that these guys are playing?

Aarik Greenley:

I'm sure somebody out there uses it Well.

Joe:

So yeah, what I'm saying is is like I have a TR, jeremy has a TR, matt has a TR, dan has a TR, I think Bob has a TR, so does Trey. Like Now, how different is the TR that these guys are playing on tour From what we play? So it's off, golf works.

Aarik Greenley:

It depends on who the golfer is. Yeah, like I mean, there's a Again, until you're holding it, because a lot of shafts are etched. and it'll say, like you know, prototype 60, blah, blah, blah, whatever, right it just It can be painted whatever it wants. Yeah, totally Yeah, it just you, just until you touch it. But yes, is there some guys on tour playing that? chef that you play? thousand percent, absolutely Yeah, but I just hope you will not get caught up in that like no, yeah, i'm not concerned about it, it's all to the rogue as an example. Remember the rogue, the white and gray one, mm-hmm. I Mean where it said tour on it. It would be great, or it'd be blue, or it'd be green, or it'd be red. It all looks the same, yeah, but is it? that same shaft, with the tour being green, is no different than the shaft that John Rom still plays. That's a hundred dollar golf shaft. Yeah, they're charging for it.

Joe:

Yeah, it gives him the right to charge more for some dumb ass reason you know Yeah because it's marketing.

Aarik Greenley:

All it is is marketing.

Joe:

Yeah, that I saw a video of I forget the dude's name the player. He's like I play a pink shaft with the the stiff, whatever it was. Yeah, I got literally bought it from golf galaxy like, yeah, that was cool, that was cool to see.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, it means no at that level though, yeah, you're good, it doesn't matter. Like I I fit one of the kids who played um, who played for SMU, who transferred to UT, so he played golf. He's on the same team as Noah Godwin. So this kid, how smart this kid is. He graduated in three years and he's doing his fourth year at UT. He's playing Noah Godwin's irons, hmm, and like didn't know why they flew, how they flew. He's like every now that it goes really far, every now that does this, and this kid, like not trying, flies a seven 186, like not trying in a simulator, so it's gonna go further outside. Yeah, when he's warming all that stuff. And he was like I was like hey, did you know? these are bent this way and these are ground. He was like no, i think I grabbed the wrong set of irons, like I don't know what happened to mine, so I just grabbed these. I go, so this is what you've been playing with for college. He's like yeah, like when you've got it, you got it like he was playing somebody else's golf clubs I didn't even that, weren't even made for him, and he was drinking, decimating all I could, just what it is when you're good, you're good.

Joe:

So funny man It's such like an in individual sport. It's so interesting.

Aarik Greenley:

Absolutely. That's what makes it awesome.

Joe:

Yeah, that's true. Yeah, soul golf for you. No, i'm saying we all have our own soul. So we're all individual golfers and we, i'll take it, i'll take that.

Jeremy:

So we have breaking news The Odyssey jailbird putters have now hit 1299 on eBay.

Aarik Greenley:

Wow, i bet you that's an eBay price. I bet six months ago You could buy one for 150 bucks.

Joe:

Oh, probably less than that. Yeah, i'm curious to see what the the Callaway pre-order cost is, because I did get that email and I mean I mean they're all over the fucking place. It's crazy, like when, like we said earlier, when I'm Clark Ricky, like it's crazy.

Aarik Greenley:

So when when I'm Clark was our staffer, he came to the store for our grand opening party No idea who he was I didn't even like he was. We were our boss at the time was there. He's like, hey, we need another fitter. And I heard him talking and this guy was like spitting out track my info And I was like dude, like this guy knows what he's talking about. That's pretty cool. And then he steps up to hit a ball and he like flew it in the bay like and like normal clothes. He flew it like almost 340 in the air. I was like wow, any could bang golf ball. That's pretty cool. I hope that guy works here. I had no idea was Wyndham Clark. I Was like wow.

Jeremy:

Wow, man, it's a different game.

Joe:

It really is. It really is a different game. I mean, hey, we enjoy playing the game and it's, you know, like what do you do you have thoughts on the US Open? by the way, the previous use US Open. What did you think about that, you mean?

Aarik Greenley:

at LA. Yeah, yeah, I Have no problem with it.

Jeremy:

I like it.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, I don't. It's not fun to me to watch Tour players shoot 84.

Joe:

Like I don't.

Aarik Greenley:

I mean, i would say 84, but I'm not saying that. But like I've no, i have no issue with it at all like I actually probably enjoyed this one more than most of the other ones really, yeah, so you don't think the US Open has an identity that it should uphold? If they're gonna go as extremes they have in the past. And I say no because I don't like that. Yeah, I don't like Guys hitting good quality golf shots.

Joe:

No, yeah, there's a fine line between unfair and fair, like totally Yeah. I don't watch, because we're going up to Chambers Bay and I was watching the Gary player comment the other day We're like there's guys hitting it 40 yards on to the green and it's rolling back to 80 yards out, like you know.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, they can't be unfair, but But that's, that's to an extent right, that's golf. So when I did that golf trip to Forest Dunes last year And we played the loop Yeah, what you want, yeah. So So I'd never been there and I get, i've never played links golf. Yeah, bang, first hole, make birdie. I'm like this is easy get to the second hole and I flew it like a yard too far past the flagstick and when I got to My golf ball I had like 70 yards coming back, yeah, and I was like That's weird right freakin a big double. But I just did yeah and didn't do it anymore. But it's like it's just that fine line. I think is is really touchy and I would. If I was making the golf course, i would air More on the let's not let it get away more so that they let it get away. I just, but that's just me, like I don't. It's not fun for me to watch those guys shoot 80. I just Like I legit won't watch it. That's not fun to me.

Joe:

Yeah, i'm not a big fan of them watching shoot 80, but I like to see them around Par. You know, a few under, maybe a few over, sure, for a US Open, i mean. But obviously in that situation there's gonna be people that shoot 80 because absolutely, you know, people just might not have it that week but the last VgN event.

Aarik Greenley:

I think I shot 86.

Joe:

Killing the game, bro. You're soul golfing all over the place. I topped the three with that.

Jeremy:

You know, what I think the US Open should be more about is strategy. Yeah, I mean whether they shoot 80 or 60, i mean if you can make the play. Every player have to strategize on their tee shots, their approach shots. That's what the US Open is about, and yeah, whether that's Packing that thick rough around the greens, or in just tucking the pins behind bunkers. They have to strategize, and that sometimes is hitting it 30 feet right of the cup, because that's all they can do sure. I think, that's what the US Open is, but yeah, I think the US Open is being surgical.

Joe:

I.

Aarik Greenley:

Like I liked that. So to that point, jeremy, i like that short par four where those guys could lay up Remember, they show like the three lines on the like left with green, right of the green, whatever. I like that. And I really liked The par three when they made it 80 yards, yeah. So yeah, yeah did the the Byron Nelson at four seasons. Number 14 is a lake. You see, hit, you know fairy wood. Down to the end of the fairway They hit like wedge or something short to the green. So it rained so much it flooded, so they turn that into a par three and it was like one ten and Like that average score in that hole was like I think it was almost over four For a par three from a hundred yards, or tour players. Yeah and That was like that was really really cool, you know. Ricky saying, if they make that whole 80 yards, i'm laying up like that's, like that's really cool, like that's, that's fun to me.

Joe:

Yeah, and I think. I think that's one of the things about, like amateur golfers. We get so into our head like that these guys are just hitting in close all the time and like, if you really dial into the Statistics, like they're not hitting it as close as you think they are all the time, you know. And on 80 yards shot you think that they're just gonna flag it. But that's, that's not accurate, you know. And we compare ourselves to these players, but You know they don't hit it as close as we think all the time It's, you know the tiny from one team, the what you know, the Tiger Woods stat from 110 yards. Was it like 15, 16 feet, something like that.

Aarik Greenley:

One out of one out of every five Tiger Woods misses the green from that. Wow, that's right. Yeah, crazy Tiger doesn't count cuz he's Tiger. So if Tiger Woods misses it from that, from that close with his ability Like I don't really need to hear you bitching about like why didn't that get closer? like you're just for starters, you're not good.

Joe:

Yeah, just hit the fuck green just hit greens at And then if you guys got anything, we'll say that and then we'll send it off. Matt, why are you Matt's? just Matt's, just in the Dant, like the the chat, just he could have been here, but he's. You have to pay glue wiggly, you know. So I get it.

Aarik Greenley:

I had a course.

Joe:

Yeah, rocket mortgage. This is. this is a Ricky Fowler win for sure, 100 percent. He's going to do it for the sponsor. I'll do the noise for you. Lock it in Your favorite. Tony Fina 12 to one. Along with Ricky Fowler is at 12 to one. Justin Thomas, colin Morkow 15 to one. Max Holma Deckey 18 to one. Sung Jae, tom Kim 20 to one. King and Bradley coming off a win 25 to one. Cam Davis 33 to one. Harris English 35 to one. Brian Harmon 40 to one. He played well this week. Austin Eck wrote 50 to one. Adam Hadwin 50 to one. Hojian Gardens 60 to one. Let's go all the way down to the bottom. Not a designated event. I don't think Yeah, because last week was the last one 301. All the way at the bottom, tyler Duncan and Austin Smotherman. So I think I may have won the week last week. I don't know, i had Ricky in the one and done. I don't know if that translated to ours, but I'm going to take Ricky Fowler this week at 12 to one because he is due. He is, he is going to win. He's going to win it for the sponsors. He's going to be drinking Corona at the 18th green on the 72nd hole, it's guaranteed.

Aarik Greenley:

He's going to get tackled like Adam had one.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah, you're not from Detroit, ricky. You were getting laid out. Jeremy, you got a pick.

Jeremy:

Zach Claire, is that where in the field?

Joe:

Oh, is that player played great this past weekend. Man, I didn't see him, but let me. Let me take a quick look.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah, see if Joseph Bramlett's in there.

Joe:

I don't see, i don't see Bramley currently.

Aarik Greenley:

Well, damn.

Joe:

Bramley, can you, can you concierge Bramlett podcast episode What?

Aarik Greenley:

are you doing? Yes, matt asked me and Joe said that with how everything is going, we're not big enough. Be till fall. No, it won't be till fall is what he said, but he said he would do.

Joe:

Bramlett is 85 to one, so is that your pick?

Aarik Greenley:

I picked my friend.

Joe:

OK, 85 to one for Bramlett I'd love to see him win Yeah you and me both.

Aarik Greenley:

I'll get him drunk that day.

Joe:

We all know you will You get everybody drunk that you hang out with. It's not a bad thing. Zach Blair is 125 to one. That's a little deep. That's both points. He played great and it's bonus points.

Jeremy:

He did play good. He was another example, like the Chez Revy example, like the dad bod, one of the shortest players on tour.

Joe:

Yeah, and he's playing courses while the tournament's going on.

Jeremy:

Yeah exactly Playing 36 a day.

Joe:

Love it.

Jeremy:

You know what?

Joe:

Harry Hall's in the field at 100 to one.

Jeremy:

I'm going to go. I'm going to go, adam Hadwin.

Joe:

Adam Hadwin.

Jeremy:

I like that little. I look for those little signs 50 to one.

Joe:

Matt is in, know you're listening. Do you have a pic? Remember to stay on after Joe stops recording.

Aarik Greenley:

Thanks, dad, why don't you stay on for.

Joe:

Because it has to upload. Once you see 100 percent after we close it out, it'll finish uploading. Gotcha, it's, it's quick, but I guess I guess Matt will just have to pick after After our, you know, leftovers. So you guys got anything else, i'm not. I'm not a host, matt's the host.

Aarik Greenley:

What are you guys going to be doing when I get there?

Joe:

We're going to hear July 8th.

Aarik Greenley:

So I'll be there. eight, nine, ten, eight, nine, ten. The catch is I won't be there until like I land at like eight o'clock on the eighth. So because I have to work that day, two guys are out so I can't leave early. eight, nine, ten, sorry they're all day the ninth. I don't leave till like five, thirty or something on Monday, the 10th, and then I'm going to come back for my birthday in September. So I'll be there for like four days. four days ish, five days, something like that then.

Joe:

But what are your plans? What do you got going on? Obviously, barcode burgers, Shout out barcode burgers.

Aarik Greenley:

What's up Cody barcode burger, chris, by the bar the angry Filipina. She's not angry, she's nice, she just teases me a lot, so I think we're going to do cigars at eight lounge, the eighth. Yeah, i have nothing all day Sunday, whether that's barcode day or Monday, which is barcode day, like I'm staying at Delano, yeah, so I don't. Yeah, i don't know. Well, you got to, you got to open schedule, so there's no baseball here in Sacramento, so I won't be watching baseball.

Joe:

So we can go down to T-Mobile Arena and react, reenact the parade for you if you want, Like four of us.

Aarik Greenley:

Reenact the gold. What are those guys doing? Don't worry about it, let them be.

Joe:

I'm trying I mean I've been, i've been heavily into the Golden Knights DMS, trying to just get one of these guys to bite on getting on the podcast or just playing golf with us, because I think it would be great. I mean, obviously we're a we're a Vegas golf podcast and we love the gold Knights And hopefully I'm just I'm just going down the roster trying to get one of these guys to bite on it because I think it would be amazing.

Aarik Greenley:

But yeah, we can reenact the parade for all the people Like. I bet you like stone or coal as far as we do it, but I've run.

Joe:

I've messaged them both. No response. I've messaged a. Mario white cloud, marchie Smith, carl's. I've messaged all of them. So I wish Reese was still there. He reads would do it. You know what Don't like. my wife mentioned it the other day, katie mentioned it in. Like, colesar has filled the role of Reeves so well like agreed. Cole. Cole is man dude, He is a boss and I'm so happy he's not going anywhere soon. Yeah agreed.

Aarik Greenley:

I can't wait to get there and like, buy stuff I don't need. That has.

Joe:

I'm still waiting on orders from Fanatics. I placed three weeks ago. You know, jack Eichel Jack.

Aarik Greenley:

Eichel today. See his tattoo. I did not see it, no left up, or thigh Got the cup.

Joe:

Oh sick Man, what a, what a, what a play opening play.

Aarik Greenley:

I love it. The cup that's in the middle Yeah twenty three Man.

Joe:

Good for him. Man, like a first first show, first big show for him And he just he laced Marchie, like just I love the open mic on Jonathan Marchie, so where he's like you did it for me. Man, like thank you. He's like I love you. Man, i cry all the time like that heart photo or Marchie's looking up There's there's so much good shit happening in the city and it's agreed. It's so good to see you, man, like I've waited for it since the Rebels won in 1990. So it's, it's been incredible and I can't wait for it to continue. Let's go back to back, though. I think we really do have a good shot going back to back, like, what a team, what a team we have. I think I think the big hole we got to fill is Barbie Barbyshev. Rumors have circulated that Aiden Hill is coming back. So we'll see, man, we're, we're a hockey town and it's it's awesome to say, about to be a big town. Yeah, i know What the fuck Crazy, but none of them will ever, none of them will ever match what Golden Knights are, because now we were right out of the soil you know, root in the one whole shebang. Yeah, just born and bred out of soil. Everything else transfers.

Aarik Greenley:

Oh, I can't wait for shirt I got.

Joe:

Which shirt you got. I can't wait for you to see it. Oh shit, Is it an Isaiah style shirt.

Aarik Greenley:

No, it's a hoodie from barcode. He's like here we're doing pre-sale for this shirt. Oh, got the LV here And on the back all golden night colors, and it says since day, and it's one. It says F dot, dot, dot. Yeah, one dude, it's so good.

Joe:

Yeah, there's another brand out here, vegas Bar City, that did one that says day fucking one And it's got like the stars on it, but this one, is this brand's called?

Aarik Greenley:

I think it's called counterfeit. I think I've heard of them.

Joe:

Yeah, have you seen this? I'll change it. Let me grab this real quick, this poster.

Aarik Greenley:

Yeah.

Joe:

So sick I got number 43 of 500. I think it is Yeah.

Aarik Greenley:

No way really.

Joe:

Yeah, you got it when they won or what. Yeah, so there's this dude. I forget the artist's name, but he does every year when someone was a championship, he does a print and it's like engraved into their logo somehow with the Stanley Cup. So super sick, i gotta get that frame hanging out.

Aarik Greenley:

Do I get my paper when I come, when I get there?

Joe:

Yeah, i got it right over here, don't worry about it.

Aarik Greenley:

I also got a.

Joe:

I also got a hidden greens like VGK inspired sticker for you, so you don't worry about it Don't worry about it, you're well taken care of out here That might go in my car Just might need to just buy a fucking condo or something. Let's get it going.

Aarik Greenley:

It's not from a lack of, but you have no idea how hard I'm trying to get out.

Joe:

Yeah, you just, you just might need to lay the foundation for a PXG store. Just start laying cement somewhere. It might be closer than you think. That's awesome. Love to hear it. All right, guys, you get. do you have anything else? That's all I got, nothing else.

Jeremy:

It's been a real pleasure, it's been great.

Joe:

Yeah, i mean we're left with the keys to the house and I think it turned out well. We didn't burn it down Very good, we burned down. It's where we're in our intense in, which is very surprising to me. I was thinking we're going to be 15 minutes. I was going to lay my son down the bed, but here we are, we're still recording and he is sleeping So beautiful until next week. Thanks for tuning in Chasing Daylight podcast. Dad will be back next week, i'm sure so, and we'll see you next week and make sure you get out there. Chase and daylight, play some golf. We're out of prim for the VGN event this past this weekend. Coming up greens are shitty, but just fire at the flags and you'll be all right. We'll see you next week. Till then later.
