There's something almost magical about hitting the road with good friends and discovering unexpected golf treasures along the way. Our recent Arizona golf adventure delivered exactly that kind of experience – from world-class courses to surprisingly delicious roadside burritos, and everything in between.

The journey began at 2nd Swing Golf in Scottsdale, where we encountered a scene that would warm any golf enthusiast's heart: dozens of people waiting outside before opening time, eager to explore the incredible selection inside. Once through the doors, we discovered a wonderland of golf equipment – private fitting bays, an expansive putting green with PuttView technology, walls lined with every imaginable brand of used clubs, and even rare Scotty Cameron collections that had us geeking out completely.

But the real highlight was playing We-ko-pa's Cholla course, where the conditions defied belief. Despite having been punched just two weeks prior, the Bermuda greens were flawless – a testament to the incredible maintenance team. The course layout perfectly utilized the natural elevation changes, creating a dynamic playing experience that had us all agreeing this might have been the best golf of our trip. Special shoutout to Todd in outside services, whose exceptional attention to detail elevated our experience from great to unforgettable.

Our stay in Payson at the Mansion on Main provided the perfect basecamp for exploring private courses, Chaparral Pines and The Rim Club – exclusive venues we accessed through the Beautiful Golf Courses and Fore Hadley Foundation fundraiser. These courses sparked friendly debates among us about routing, scenery, and playability, with The Rim's dramatic "hold my beer" back nine featuring some truly spectacular holes. We're already planning how to bid in this year's fundraiser to discover more hidden gems.

The trip reminded us why these getaways matter so much – they're not just about the golf, but about disconnecting from daily responsibilities and reconnecting with what makes this game special. As we told each other repeatedly throughout the episode, if you haven't taken a golf trip with friends lately, do it. Do it

The Golf Stop

00:00:22.495 --> 00:00:30.753
What is up, everybody, Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight Podcast.

00:00:30.753 --> 00:00:34.890
We had ourself a little road trip and we're back.

00:00:34.909 --> 00:00:37.284
Time was had, time was had.

00:00:37.284 --> 00:00:42.252
We made it back safe and sound, and so we're here to talk about it.

00:00:42.252 --> 00:00:46.451
So, yeah, we'll be chatting about our road trip down to Arizona.

00:00:46.451 --> 00:00:49.508
A whole bunch of shit went on, had a blast.

00:00:49.508 --> 00:00:50.329
It was fantastic.

00:00:50.329 --> 00:00:52.829
Joe, your mic's on mute, just in case you didn't know that.

00:00:52.929 --> 00:00:59.972
Okay, I do want to say thank you to Bernard Garson for coming on the show.

00:00:59.972 --> 00:01:04.040
That interview was absolutely fantastic.

00:01:04.040 --> 00:01:09.442
If I do have to say so myself myself, I've been a fan of his work for a very long time.

00:01:09.442 --> 00:01:11.609
Uh, joe's rocking his putter grip.

00:01:11.609 --> 00:01:21.275
I put a garson back on today after talking with him because I I believe what he's doing is right and uh, yeah.

00:01:21.275 --> 00:01:26.090
So I did a little tinkering with it to get it to exactly how I want it and I'm pretty happy with it.

00:01:26.090 --> 00:01:27.766
Been rolling a lot of putts out there today.

00:01:27.766 --> 00:01:31.269
So if you did not check that out, it's the last episode we just had.

00:01:31.269 --> 00:01:34.469
It is available on all the podcast formats.

00:01:34.469 --> 00:01:38.730
It's also out there on YouTube, the video, so you can watch that if you want to.

00:01:38.730 --> 00:01:48.143
It was a great interview, learned a ton about him that I did not know, and you're probably going to be hearing a lot more about Garson on this show.

00:01:48.143 --> 00:02:04.989
We're talking with them, working out some agreements to have them, you know, run some ad spots and be kind of a supporter, sponsor of the show in a way that we can bring some information to you guys about the grips.

00:02:04.989 --> 00:02:08.352
Maybe do some giveaways, offer you some discount codes, things like that.

00:02:08.352 --> 00:02:10.712
So pay attention to that.

00:02:10.913 --> 00:02:21.997
Also want to thank, of course, the golf stop, the indoor track man range down on St Rose and here in here in West Henderson, a great facility to go practice right now, especially since it's so damn hot outside.

00:02:21.997 --> 00:02:28.003
I was putting out back and I was like this is stupid, blazing hot, blazing hot.

00:02:28.003 --> 00:02:34.814
So go get yourself some indoor practice, great place to hang out and play some track band games or work on your game.

00:02:34.814 --> 00:02:39.610
And then, of course, las Vegas Gala Soup Store and Roars Our friends.

00:02:40.110 --> 00:02:40.491
Our friends.

00:02:41.661 --> 00:02:42.746
How are you guys doing this evening?

00:02:42.746 --> 00:02:47.054
Are you all back to normal Kind?

00:02:47.074 --> 00:02:47.616
of Yep all back to normal.

00:02:47.616 --> 00:02:50.526
Kind of Yep Back to normal Already hit the range this morning.

00:02:51.461 --> 00:02:53.787
Very much back to normal, yeah.

00:02:55.872 --> 00:03:00.400
Yeah, I don't know, I was wiped for some reason.

00:03:00.400 --> 00:03:02.548
I don't know if it was just sitting that long.

00:03:02.548 --> 00:03:05.489
You know, driving back and then not doing anything.

00:03:06.562 --> 00:03:08.068
I just crashed hard.

00:03:08.721 --> 00:03:10.306
Crashed hard to get a night.

00:03:10.306 --> 00:03:16.752
I'm glad we did not do the show last night, because it would not have been a good show.

00:03:16.752 --> 00:03:25.987
In other news, thanks to Gosh, I can see his portfolio, his name.

00:03:25.987 --> 00:03:34.693
He gave me some tips last week on um running, uh, giveaways using stream song or stream yard or software.

00:03:34.693 --> 00:03:39.987
So, uh, right now in the background we have something running that is collecting all the comments.

00:03:39.987 --> 00:03:48.879
So if you're watching the show and you're commenting, uh, if you chime in and you participate, we'll be doing this for a couple weeks to test it out to see how it does.

00:03:48.879 --> 00:04:03.787
We'll randomly be selecting somebody that was participating in the show and we'll be giving away stuff Still trying to figure out exactly what it is we'll be giving away, but it will be beneficial for you to engage with us in the show.

00:04:03.787 --> 00:04:13.903
So please do so, and I think that's all I got going on as far as getting shit out the way, do you guys want to start with Dennis Riccio?

00:04:17.791 --> 00:04:18.673
Dennis Riccio.

00:04:18.673 --> 00:04:20.788
I don't know if they're ready for that yet.

00:04:20.788 --> 00:04:22.060
Oh my goodness.

00:04:23.502 --> 00:04:34.148
So we were staying at the mansion on main in payson and um, it didn't have the best entertainment.

00:04:34.148 --> 00:04:43.990
As far as television, it was a really really weird tv subscription that it wasn't like live tv but it it was TV.

00:04:43.990 --> 00:04:49.867
There was like a boxing channel, there was a PGA channel, there was a pickleball channel.

00:04:49.867 --> 00:04:52.422
Hey, quinn, say hi.

00:04:52.581 --> 00:04:54.187
Hi Hi Quinn.

00:04:56.880 --> 00:04:59.348
Can you say golf, golf?

00:05:00.350 --> 00:05:26.134
Go Really really weird TV, though, and we couldn't find anything to watch and you had to log into your netflix account, so we said the hell with that, and so we started just watching youtube videos and stumbled across dennis riccio and, uh, I let me bring up just just so, uh, everybody here can see what is this is all about.

00:05:26.134 --> 00:05:30.446
Uh, so here's our guy here.

00:05:30.446 --> 00:05:48.108
Oh, yes, yeah, so uh, I, I stopped it at my favorite part to this, this smile on the approach shot to clear that bunker uh, the audio doesn't play through, but this guy, welcome to hole number two.

00:05:49.184 --> 00:05:52.266
Short game legend for sure, minutes from four feet.

00:05:52.461 --> 00:05:54.447
Best four foot putter in the world.

00:05:56.487 --> 00:05:59.348
He was 18 For 18 from four feet.

00:05:59.901 --> 00:06:00.384
While doing this.

00:06:00.384 --> 00:06:01.266
I'm Dennis Riccio.

00:06:01.266 --> 00:06:03.007
Welcome to hole number three.

00:06:03.007 --> 00:06:06.824
Friendly Glenn, you may be tempted to cut the corner On this dog leg left.

00:06:06.824 --> 00:06:07.225
I'm Dennis Riccio.

00:06:07.225 --> 00:06:07.946
Welcome to hole number three.

00:06:07.946 --> 00:06:10.968
Friendly Glenn, you may be tempted to cut the corner on this dogleg left par four, but beware of the bunkers on the left.

00:06:11.069 --> 00:06:21.690
It's hilarious, it's content gold, Although there is plenty of fairway past them the safer play is to the right where the fairway slopes to the south.

00:06:21.690 --> 00:06:29.632
I wish I had the audio because right here at this time, Make sure to take an extra club to clear the ravine, to separate the tee and green and to conquer the slide uphill slope.

00:06:29.632 --> 00:06:33.230
If you're hitting into the wind, you may need to hit even harder.

00:06:33.230 --> 00:06:37.187
A large green makes even a slight guarantee shot.

00:06:37.228 --> 00:06:38.190
I can hear the audio.

00:06:38.190 --> 00:06:38.512
Oh, you can.

00:06:38.512 --> 00:06:40.581
Yeah, it hits the plane.

00:06:40.581 --> 00:06:41.504
He just said it too.

00:06:42.264 --> 00:06:45.110
Oh, let me put it back, I'm Dennis.

00:06:45.170 --> 00:06:47.874
Riccio and to conquer the slight uphill slope.

00:06:47.874 --> 00:06:55.620
If you're hitting into the wind, you may need to hit even harder.

00:06:59.043 --> 00:07:02.468
A large green makes even a slightly errant tee shot playable.

00:07:02.970 --> 00:07:03.870
I'm Dennis Riccio.

00:07:04.310 --> 00:07:09.504
Welcome to hole number four yeah, so uh, yeah, I'll put a link down into that.

00:07:09.504 --> 00:07:20.470
So, uh, you can, can, can watch uh, Dennis Riccio, Cause it, it, it was entertaining, the dude couldn't miss, uh could not miss.

00:07:20.470 --> 00:07:22.882
And man, it was hilarious.

00:07:23.202 --> 00:07:25.627
So but great course tour.

00:07:25.728 --> 00:07:44.903
But man, the video does not do that either course justice, no crazy how different it looked I had a couple problems with a few of the holes, trying to remember them, um, I think what I think once you get to the fifth and sixth hole, all the holes on the rim are pretty rememberable or memorable.

00:07:44.903 --> 00:07:50.528
But the two, three and four were kind of I don't know.

00:07:50.528 --> 00:07:51.428
I kind of got lost in them.

00:07:51.428 --> 00:07:59.654
I don't know if it was the heat, the no food or the frustrations with the course or what Just wasn't into it.

00:07:59.654 --> 00:08:00.995
But yeah, it took a little while for me.

00:08:01.096 --> 00:08:02.737
But let's start from the beginning.

00:08:02.737 --> 00:08:15.163
Let's go back a day before that.

00:08:15.163 --> 00:08:17.992
Um, we drove down to scottsdale, which super easy drive from vegas, it's four and a half hours.

00:08:17.992 --> 00:08:25.713
Um, there wasn't a lot of traffic, it was a sunday morning and, uh, we, no issues, no issues getting down there, uh.

00:08:25.713 --> 00:08:42.206
But we decided to stop in at second swing golf before we headed over to wikipa and dan myself and jeremy had never been there, joe had, and he was telling us about it and everything he said was true.

00:08:42.206 --> 00:08:46.630
And then some, that is an amazing facility.

00:08:46.630 --> 00:08:48.933
Yes, it is.

00:08:49.315 --> 00:09:08.581
Yeah, this is insane I couldn't believe how much golf was in there the, the private fitting bays, the putting bays, the regular bays, the huge putting green with the putt view from above so you can see the line, use putters for miles that you can test.

00:09:08.581 --> 00:09:10.687
Um, they had.

00:09:10.687 --> 00:09:11.971
Oh, I found the.

00:09:11.971 --> 00:09:14.678
We went back, that'll, that'll be told later.

00:09:14.678 --> 00:09:24.528
But we went back and I found all the shafts which I was just like, oh man, I should have been over here for a long time looking at the shafts, um, but they have a scotty cameron collection.

00:09:24.548 --> 00:09:42.688
They've got a paint collection I think one of the craziest things, though, before we even get into like the shop, is you pull up on a sunday, they open at 11 and there is 20 cars out there and 40 people waiting to get in before they even open like.

00:09:42.688 --> 00:09:55.605
I have never seen that at a golf shop in my entire life people waiting to get into the store and yeah, a lot, not like a lot, not like joe golfer dude it was a lot of people.

00:09:55.644 --> 00:09:59.514
Black friday-esque yeah exactly, exactly.

00:10:00.336 --> 00:10:01.038
It was great happens.

00:10:01.058 --> 00:10:03.481
They were saying that it's like that every Saturday and Sunday.

00:10:03.961 --> 00:10:07.105
Yep, yep.

00:10:07.105 --> 00:10:10.208
So we saw the my Girl collection.

00:10:10.208 --> 00:10:16.615
They had every my Girl Scotty Cameron ever has put out in a case with all their head covers.

00:10:16.615 --> 00:10:18.375
That was awesome to see.

00:10:18.375 --> 00:10:23.509
Bunch of circle Ts.

00:10:23.669 --> 00:10:29.125
He might have been there, he's in line, he might have been there in line.

00:10:29.145 --> 00:10:50.745
Uh so uh, jordy knows, jordan knows and then then in the back and the the back is where it is, that's, I mean just wall and wall and wall after wall of used clubs, putters, drivers, fairy woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, single iron sets, anything you can think of anything every brand every brand.

00:10:51.225 --> 00:11:00.475
I mean we saw jp wedges, edison wedges, uh, all the main brands, of course, but it was, it was impressive, absolutely impressive.

00:11:00.475 --> 00:11:09.003
And then there's a workshop in the back and that's where lamont man is set up mancrafted, if anybody is familiar with him.

00:11:09.003 --> 00:11:22.741
I've been a fan of lamont's work for years and he wasn't there on sunday, um, so when we left and then went to go play week about, we decided I think we're going to come back here before we go back to Vegas.

00:11:22.741 --> 00:11:24.864
So that was the plan.

00:11:24.864 --> 00:11:37.173
And so after we played all the golf, we went back and then I got to meet Lamont and went in, shook his hand, chatted him up for a while, which was amazing, just a legend in the putting world.

00:11:37.173 --> 00:11:39.654
It was a blast to see him.

00:11:39.654 --> 00:11:42.756
So that was a thrill for me.

00:11:42.756 --> 00:11:50.302
It was so, so damn cool to see his work and him doing it.

00:11:50.302 --> 00:11:51.765
It was, it was pretty damn cool.

00:11:51.785 --> 00:12:09.995
So, but, uh, then we went to uh, weekopaw after that and played some golf and we were chatting in the car after everything and I think for the most part everybody agreed that week of Paul was pretty special.

00:12:09.995 --> 00:12:36.028
So I originally had Chaparral Pines is my favorite, but as I've been pondering it over the last couple of days, I think one of the reasons I in a car didn't rate week opah better was because familiar with that type of golf, because we play piute a lot and so I was going through the videos jeremy sent me and I was like why did jeremy send me pictures from piute?

00:12:36.551 --> 00:12:38.240
like when did I play jeremy?

00:12:38.261 --> 00:13:01.690
I was like, oh, that's week opah yeah, but I was like I go, you know I it's my favorite place to play golf here in town, you know, piute, and because the conditions are amazing and I was like so then I started thinking again and looking through back through some of the photos and I'm like you know that that probably is the the best golf that we played.

00:13:01.690 --> 00:13:05.816
Um doesn't have the crazy scenic views, but the golf was.

00:13:06.559 --> 00:13:19.354
The golf was tremendous, tremendous yeah, so I feel the same way yeah, conditions were amazing impeccable, impeccable conditions the.

00:13:19.533 --> 00:13:22.403
You know, uh, dan kind of threw down the the.

00:13:22.403 --> 00:13:27.684
The line in the sand said we can only talk about the golf, we can't rate anything else.

00:13:27.684 --> 00:13:29.510
But I'm breaking script.

00:13:29.510 --> 00:13:34.224
I thought the pro shop was fantastic, the outside services was fantastic.

00:13:35.105 --> 00:13:35.868
Shout out Todd.

00:13:35.868 --> 00:13:37.051
Shout out Todd.

00:13:37.051 --> 00:13:39.466
That's the man Outside services a week of pause.

00:13:39.466 --> 00:13:40.229
Shout out Todd.

00:13:41.019 --> 00:13:42.364
That's the man dude, incredible Todd you're the man dude.

00:13:42.384 --> 00:13:42.985
Incredible.

00:13:42.985 --> 00:13:46.336
Todd, you're the man you better be listening.

00:13:46.336 --> 00:13:47.038
I hope you're listening.

00:13:47.038 --> 00:13:47.679
He said he was going to.

00:13:48.120 --> 00:13:51.390
I'm going to get framed and it will be up here on the wall shortly.

00:13:51.390 --> 00:13:56.246
The signage on the course.

00:13:56.246 --> 00:13:58.993
You never didn't know where to go.

00:13:58.993 --> 00:14:01.740
Everything was clearly marked.

00:14:01.740 --> 00:14:07.913
They had these little rest stop grills and water stations.

00:14:07.913 --> 00:14:15.990
It was a very, very well done golf course, from the moment you pulled up until the moment you left.

00:14:15.990 --> 00:14:18.506
A lot of great selection.

00:14:18.506 --> 00:14:21.028
This is one of the hats that I got.

00:14:21.028 --> 00:14:27.166
I was impressed from the moment we got there to the moment we left.

00:14:30.323 --> 00:14:40.601
End to end, incredible golf experience Pro shop practice facility, two courses, casino, outside services.

00:14:40.601 --> 00:14:41.767
Todd was fantastic.

00:14:41.767 --> 00:14:47.288
Water turn shack, impeccable conditions, well-designed course.

00:14:47.288 --> 00:14:49.664
Uh would.

00:14:49.664 --> 00:14:53.393
You can go there again and again and again and still learn new things.

00:14:53.393 --> 00:14:58.009
A lot of blind t-shots, but you know, you learn it.

00:14:58.009 --> 00:15:00.195
It was, it was amazing amazing.

00:15:00.897 --> 00:15:02.582
There was some great elevation changes.

00:15:02.582 --> 00:15:13.868
Like, piu doesn't have a ton of elevation changes, yeah, yeah, but this had you're, you're, you're up on a mesa and then you're down in a canyon, then you're back up on a mesa and then you're down in a canyon, then you're it was.

00:15:13.868 --> 00:15:15.312
It was really well done.

00:15:15.312 --> 00:15:23.690
They really used the land great and, uh, I had a phenomenal putting day out there.

00:15:23.730 --> 00:15:24.091
Whatever?

00:15:24.451 --> 00:15:25.972
whatever it is, was that Bermuda greens?

00:15:25.972 --> 00:15:26.813
Was that what they were?

00:15:27.934 --> 00:15:28.216
Yes.

00:15:28.696 --> 00:15:31.969
Yeah, I mean I, I couldn't miss.

00:15:33.481 --> 00:15:36.870
The crazy thing is they punched the greens two weeks ago.

00:15:36.870 --> 00:15:38.465
They closed the course for two weeks.

00:15:38.465 --> 00:15:39.187
There's no play.

00:15:39.187 --> 00:15:41.567
They do it and then they let it recover.

00:15:41.567 --> 00:15:45.166
You would never even know they were punched, never even could have told.

00:15:45.701 --> 00:15:48.865
I wouldn't have believed you if you told me no, they didn't.

00:15:48.865 --> 00:15:52.365
I mean it was so good, the fairways were lush.

00:15:52.365 --> 00:15:56.825
I mean the bunkers were outstanding, the tee boxes were great.

00:15:59.303 --> 00:16:03.212
My only problem with Week of Paw Go ahead they didn't have chapstick.

00:16:03.212 --> 00:16:06.669
It was way too fucking hot, it was hot.

00:16:06.669 --> 00:16:10.129
We started at 12.30 was our tea time.

00:16:10.229 --> 00:16:13.320
It was too hot, it was hot Thank God there was a little bit of.

00:16:14.589 --> 00:16:17.626
Just to clarify anybody listening, that was the Cholla course we played.

00:16:17.626 --> 00:16:19.528
They have two courses there we played the Cholla.

00:16:21.241 --> 00:16:39.128
Yeah, and I've wanted to play Saguaro for so long and we played cholla because saguaro was closed and I thought I was going to be pretty bummed because saguaro is corcoran shop, but man did cholla, um cholla.

00:16:39.128 --> 00:16:43.355
Really I feel like I'm probably gonna like cholla more than saguaro.

00:16:43.355 --> 00:16:48.831
Like I feel like that's gonna happen when I get the opportunity to play Saguaro.

00:16:49.812 --> 00:16:49.994
Yeah.

00:16:50.780 --> 00:16:53.168
Because I enjoyed Cholla that much.

00:16:54.600 --> 00:16:57.850
Dan will be back there in October, so he's going to play it and he'll let us know.

00:17:00.520 --> 00:17:02.465
As incredible as Cork Crenshaw is.

00:17:02.465 --> 00:17:12.172
I have a hard time with Cork Crenshaw Because I know it's way flatter on the other side, making a better course than Cholla.

00:17:12.172 --> 00:17:16.806
So I got to get back and play Seguara but Cholla blew me away.

00:17:18.961 --> 00:17:20.346
Yeah, you weren't the only one that blew away.

00:17:20.768 --> 00:17:20.949
Yeah.

00:17:22.661 --> 00:17:24.268
Also an incredible finisher.

00:17:28.319 --> 00:17:29.321
A great opener, an incredible finisher.

00:17:29.343 --> 00:17:30.705
what a way to start and end your round.

00:17:30.705 --> 00:17:32.589
Let me bring up I got a picture of that last hole.

00:17:32.589 --> 00:17:35.907
Let me, uh, let me find it real quick.

00:17:35.907 --> 00:17:40.705
Are you gonna be slacking like something?

00:17:40.705 --> 00:17:44.711
It's such a such a good closing hole.

00:17:44.711 --> 00:17:48.517
Okay, it doesn't want to work, all right.

00:17:48.517 --> 00:17:49.483
Oh, here we go.

00:17:49.483 --> 00:18:00.267
All right, hang on like those week apart oh, you got pictures, you got pictures yeah, I got a pictures.

00:18:00.267 --> 00:18:01.268
I got a picture.

00:18:01.268 --> 00:18:02.869
I got a picture of the closing hole.

00:18:04.592 --> 00:18:06.393
It's thinking During golden hour.

00:18:08.336 --> 00:18:08.796
Look at that.

00:18:08.796 --> 00:18:13.844
I mean it's absolutely stunning.

00:18:13.844 --> 00:18:14.929
Stunner of a hole.

00:18:15.913 --> 00:18:16.115
Yeah.

00:18:17.441 --> 00:18:19.502
I mean, I remember when he pulled up to that, everyone was like oh.

00:18:21.901 --> 00:18:22.863
Oh, dang it.

00:18:24.866 --> 00:18:26.490
Sorry, oh yeah, it Sorry, oh yeah.

00:18:26.529 --> 00:18:27.491
Matt's in the bottom.

00:18:27.511 --> 00:18:30.445
Matt's bottom square Welcome to bottom square.

00:18:31.099 --> 00:18:32.242
Circle gets the square.

00:18:33.566 --> 00:18:36.632
Get there, there we go.

00:18:36.652 --> 00:18:37.232
Now we're back to normal.

00:18:38.319 --> 00:18:39.544
I mean it's pictures, right.

00:18:41.509 --> 00:18:42.924
Oh yeah, thank you very much.

00:18:42.924 --> 00:18:49.173
Oh, my goodness, so that was all, dan, that was all sorry, almost god.

00:18:49.173 --> 00:18:50.686
Holy shit, I can't believe I almost did that.

00:18:51.328 --> 00:19:08.436
uh, as some of you may have seen, we've been sharing greenly green house 13 a uh, I've been sharing some photos, uh, that were taken taken by a new friend of ours, ethan from Golden Hour Photography, golden Hour Golf.

00:19:08.436 --> 00:19:24.292
He has just started this business adventure where he is taking photos of people on group trips, and Dan and I were at the Raiders practice and I was just scrolling on Instagram waiting before the practice started.

00:19:24.292 --> 00:19:34.250
Yeah, and his account popped up and wait hang on jeremy travis matthew.

00:19:34.310 --> 00:19:34.872
What?

00:19:34.892 --> 00:19:43.480
jeremy shut up, shut up and his account popped up and I was like, oh, I don't know, he's in arizona and so I sent him a message.

00:19:43.480 --> 00:19:47.089
I'm like, hey, you know, you want want to come out and take some photos first.

00:19:47.089 --> 00:19:51.681
He's like, yeah, absolutely so great guy, him.

00:19:51.681 --> 00:19:54.509
And Joe hit it off because he's into hip hop, like Joe was.

00:19:54.509 --> 00:20:01.467
But he followed us around for the front nine and took photos and I've been sharing some of them on my page and on the Chasing Daylight page.

00:20:01.467 --> 00:20:05.778
But it sharing some of them on my page and on the chasing daylight page but uh, it was awesome to have you know.

00:20:05.798 --> 00:20:18.103
I said in the post today it was nice to not have to worry about taking pictures and having somebody there to take pictures for you, because we were able to, you know, focus on the golf and not have to worry about, oh, did we get this shot?

00:20:18.103 --> 00:20:20.286
Or to get that shot, and so it was great.

00:20:20.286 --> 00:20:21.702
Uh, does, does great work.

00:20:21.702 --> 00:20:28.890
Uh, so you know, again, that'll be something that's tagged in the show notes where you can reach out to him and uh, definitely, awesome, definitely.

00:20:29.111 --> 00:20:41.760
Like that's the first time, like I had that for like a group experience and I know there's a lot of people out there that do it, you know, like document your buddy's trip while you're playing golf on your golf trip.

00:20:41.760 --> 00:20:52.063
And uh no, he was, was a great dude, great dude and he's like don't worry about me, I'm a ninja and dude, he was spectacular, spectacular.

00:20:52.063 --> 00:20:57.471
Shut up Golden Hour Golf Co, I mean, and the pictures we've seen so far are fantastic.

00:20:58.012 --> 00:20:58.874
Yeah, he did some good.

00:21:01.222 --> 00:21:01.965
And he's a golfer.

00:21:01.965 --> 00:21:03.330
You can tell he's an actual golfer.

00:21:03.330 --> 00:21:07.804
He's not just trying to take capitalize on the boom of golf.

00:21:07.804 --> 00:21:08.105
He's a golfer.

00:21:08.105 --> 00:21:23.248
He was telling us where to hit it and things like that, and like I felt like he was a friend that was there to take pictures of his other friends playing golf and 100 totally totally worth it yeah, absolutely so, uh, yeah again, I'll tag him in the show notes.

00:21:24.609 --> 00:21:30.616
So then, after we got done at Weak Paw, we headed north up to Payson.

00:21:30.616 --> 00:21:38.189
It's an hour 15, hour 20 from where we were right Is that what it was 49, 50 minutes, 59, 56.

00:21:38.539 --> 00:21:40.184
Yeah, it was 54.

00:21:40.204 --> 00:21:40.445
Oh yeah, from.

00:21:40.465 --> 00:21:40.686
Weak Paw.

00:21:40.686 --> 00:21:41.388
It was a little closer.

00:21:41.409 --> 00:21:43.666
Yeah, that's right Half hour for Bob.

00:21:43.666 --> 00:21:45.000
Yeah, bob yeah.

00:21:45.020 --> 00:21:46.765
Bob, from the week apart, was a little closer.

00:21:46.765 --> 00:21:47.226
Yeah, that's right.

00:21:47.226 --> 00:21:47.887
Yeah, half half hour for bob.

00:21:47.887 --> 00:21:50.354
Yeah, yeah, bob would be there in 25 minutes.

00:21:50.354 --> 00:21:51.576
Um, payson, small little, small little town.

00:21:51.576 --> 00:21:56.980
Uh, we tripped out because there was elk in the almost in the parking lot at the safeway where we stopped.

00:21:56.980 --> 00:22:00.023
Um, something you know, you don't see around here.

00:22:00.023 --> 00:22:01.967
Uh, elk walking around the street.

00:22:01.967 --> 00:22:07.114
They were gnawing on some grass on the side of the intersection.

00:22:07.114 --> 00:22:19.073
And big too, big elk, not little elk, big boys, big ol' boys, big ol' boys, big boys.

00:22:19.373 --> 00:22:22.586
We checked into our mansion, the mansion on Main.

00:22:22.586 --> 00:22:27.451
Shout out, dan, for finding that spot really cool place.

00:22:27.451 --> 00:22:40.271
I don't know if I'd call it a mansion, but maybe in the payson landscape it was a mansion yeah yeah uh, but uh, really cool spot, uh it was.

00:22:40.271 --> 00:22:43.183
It was great big kitchen, big outdoor patio with outdoor kitchen.

00:22:43.183 --> 00:22:45.394
Had a pickleball court, which I have known.

00:22:45.394 --> 00:22:48.005
I'd have brought the pickleball stuff, but I don't think we would have played.

00:22:48.005 --> 00:22:52.327
Anyways, yeah, grilled some steaks and chilled.

00:22:53.119 --> 00:22:54.547
Oh sorry, Didn't mean to do that.

00:22:54.547 --> 00:22:57.680
Take this guy anywhere.

00:22:58.560 --> 00:23:03.645
And yeah, had some little controversy with the bunk beds.

00:23:03.645 --> 00:23:10.365
Dad ended up sleeping in the rafters, uh, but it all worked out well.

00:23:12.468 --> 00:23:19.548
But uh, the thing is is like if, if, if you've never taken a golf trip with your friends like you, just gotta go, do it.

00:23:19.548 --> 00:23:41.226
Have to, you know you can stay in the trailer on the side of in side of the state highway in georgia and feel like you're about to die because somebody's breaking into the back window and it's the best, just go do it, get out there and do it yeah do it for your health, do it for your mental health, do it for you.

00:23:41.547 --> 00:23:55.708
Sure, I came back I came back and I feel so less stressed because I'm stressed every day picking the kids up every day or taking the kids to school, going to work, picking the kids up, feeding them deer I feel so much better now.

00:23:55.708 --> 00:23:57.306
It's just like a release.

00:23:57.306 --> 00:23:59.650
It really is.

00:23:59.650 --> 00:24:07.041
Most days I'm like I gotta get there, make sure I get there on time, I gotta do this, I gotta do this.

00:24:07.041 --> 00:24:23.428
And then it's like, okay, I get there when I get there, and that's gonna last for maybe maybe a couple months, but it's good, it's it's good, it's great, go do it go do it, book it now go buy something like steve jack.

00:24:23.448 --> 00:24:24.269
Yeah, go buy something Like.

00:24:24.288 --> 00:24:25.570
Steve and Jack showed that video.

00:24:25.570 --> 00:24:29.357
Go buy something Go do it, go spend that money Go, spend that money Go do it.

00:24:30.259 --> 00:24:47.643
Yeah, but this trip would not have been possible without the amazing folks at Beautiful Golf Courses and the Fort Hadley Foundation, the fundraiser that they put on every year every year every year.

00:24:47.643 --> 00:24:49.266
It's absolutely incredible.

00:24:49.266 --> 00:24:53.000
Uh, we're going to be hyping this one up as much as possible.

00:24:53.000 --> 00:24:57.998
It takes place on black friday, but you'll start seeing they're already.

00:24:57.998 --> 00:24:59.260
I was chatting with them the other day.

00:24:59.260 --> 00:25:15.222
They're already starting to put together stuff for this year and basically it's it's golf packages at places that you may not be able to get on like the two courses we played in payson, chaparral pines and the rim golf club are private courses.

00:25:16.025 --> 00:25:17.367
Uh, they're not open to the public.

00:25:17.367 --> 00:25:19.701
You can get on as guests, you know, I'm sure somehow.

00:25:19.721 --> 00:25:20.482
But I meet a friend.

00:25:20.482 --> 00:25:21.326
I got met.

00:25:21.326 --> 00:25:25.707
I got somebody sent me a message and they were like my parents live there.

00:25:25.707 --> 00:25:29.955
I've been trying to play rim club forever and he's like I'm gonna move there.

00:25:29.955 --> 00:25:30.880
I gotta meet somebody.

00:25:30.880 --> 00:25:35.354
I was like dude, beautiful golf courses for having like every year.

00:25:35.815 --> 00:25:42.633
Every year, you have the opportunity to take that chance and bid on something you've wanted to play for a long time.

00:25:42.633 --> 00:25:50.050
You just gotta put your money where your mouth is, and it's a great cause and just do it, and that's what we did and we didn't.

00:25:50.311 --> 00:25:53.425
I mean, had you guys heard of the rim club or chaparral pines?

00:25:53.425 --> 00:25:56.299
I mean, dan, you may have chaparral pines, not a rim club.

00:25:56.601 --> 00:25:58.943
Yeah, I mean, I've seen pictures, but no, I didn't.

00:25:59.084 --> 00:26:04.289
I did not even know, yeah, I, I had no idea, um, what to expect.

00:26:04.289 --> 00:26:12.848
Uh, as far as you know there, you know there's not a lot of people in Payson, it's a small town, nope, and so I wasn't sure what to expect.

00:26:12.848 --> 00:26:20.809
And the golf courses were impressive, they were impressive Now we did run into a couple little minor snags.

00:26:20.809 --> 00:26:28.400
On Mondays there's not a lot of action don't get me started, oh, joe's are already.

00:26:29.080 --> 00:26:29.923
I can feel it coming.

00:26:29.923 --> 00:26:32.647
Get that soapbox out, joe.

00:26:32.647 --> 00:26:38.765
Uh, but there's not a lot of action going on on mondays, uh, at at private courses.

00:26:38.765 --> 00:26:42.192
A lot of private courses across the country are closed on mondays.

00:26:42.192 --> 00:26:53.729
It gives, uh, you know, the staff and everybody a chance to have a day off or get caught up for some maintenance or whatever, stock the rooms and all that.

00:26:53.729 --> 00:27:00.729
So I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to play on a Monday, but they were open, thankfully.

00:27:00.729 --> 00:27:03.708
Yeah, but there was no food.

00:27:03.708 --> 00:27:09.227
I mean, we wanted to show up a little early, get some breakfast maybe, and and hit some balls.

00:27:09.227 --> 00:27:10.529
Nope, you could just hit balls.

00:27:10.529 --> 00:27:13.060
Uh, afterwards some lunch?

00:27:13.060 --> 00:27:13.923
Nope, nothing's open.

00:27:13.923 --> 00:27:21.005
Okay, well, we'll go across to the rim okay so we go, we get done nothing nothing.

00:27:21.184 --> 00:27:34.413
I mean, they didn't have anything nothing they didn't have a, not a water, mayo or anything, nothing, yeah, and water and a in a cooler that we found on 10 yeah

00:27:34.854 --> 00:27:45.249
it was like wow, nothing like yeah, and the guys, like they said they had two employees that day yeah him inside and the outside car guy.

00:27:45.269 --> 00:27:45.609
That was it.

00:27:47.342 --> 00:27:53.042
And so we said if there's nobody playing, we're just going to leave and come back at two instead of one.

00:27:53.042 --> 00:27:54.367
He's like, yeah, that's fine.

00:27:54.367 --> 00:28:07.839
So we went back into town, hit up a spot it wasn't a bucket of pasta, but it was a little pizza joint across the street and had some pizza and wings and some chicken sandwiches.

00:28:07.839 --> 00:28:23.554
And I went back out to the golf course, stopped off at a Speedy Mart slash Speedway slash 7-Eleven, stopped, grabbed a bunch of drinks and went back out and played um, it's all right.

00:28:23.554 --> 00:28:25.116
All right, let's talk about chaperone pines.

00:28:25.116 --> 00:28:28.201
Because yeah, it was.

00:28:28.201 --> 00:28:32.498
I mean, it's border number one for me.

00:28:32.498 --> 00:28:32.919
It's.

00:28:32.919 --> 00:28:33.741
It's really close.

00:28:33.741 --> 00:28:35.949
It could be one week of fall, could be one.

00:28:35.949 --> 00:28:36.911
They're both right there.

00:28:36.911 --> 00:28:39.176
Joe didn't like it.

00:28:39.759 --> 00:28:41.082
No I, I liked it.

00:28:41.082 --> 00:28:42.726
I think it was the prettiest.

00:28:42.726 --> 00:28:49.142
It was the prettiest of all of them is the most beautiful course we played, no doubt about it, no doubt no doubt about it.

00:28:49.383 --> 00:28:54.479
Prettiest course we played that's all he's gonna say.

00:28:54.479 --> 00:28:55.461
Yeah, well, go ahead.

00:28:55.501 --> 00:29:05.493
No, I'm gonna, I'm rebuttaling, I'm rebuttaling no, he didn't like, he didn't like the routing, he didn't like driving through the neighborhoods on a couple holes, um.

00:29:05.493 --> 00:29:10.824
But you know, when you're on a mountaintop sometimes you're going to have to do that.

00:29:10.824 --> 00:29:12.276
You can't just go from hole to hole.

00:29:12.276 --> 00:29:14.255
So that didn't bother me.

00:29:15.049 --> 00:29:16.453
I can go on a full tangent.

00:29:16.453 --> 00:29:17.836
Go, let's hear it.

00:29:17.836 --> 00:29:18.699
I want to hear it.

00:29:18.699 --> 00:29:23.096
Yeah, I was so hungry that morning.

00:29:23.096 --> 00:29:24.118
Nothing was open.

00:29:24.118 --> 00:29:26.736
Okay, the restaurant was not open.

00:29:26.736 --> 00:29:33.500
I was very hungry, you couldn't get chapstick.

00:29:33.500 --> 00:29:35.016
I could not get chapstick.

00:29:35.016 --> 00:29:39.121
My lips were chapped because we had week of paw and I was just dry.

00:29:39.121 --> 00:29:46.858
I drank 80 bottles of water, a week of paw and six high noons and I was just like spongebob out there.

00:29:46.858 --> 00:29:56.276
I needed fucking chapstick and I go 80 of chapstick, no, no chapstick yes, yes, greatly that's, that's insane.

00:29:56.416 --> 00:30:02.951
No, okay, I was more like I needed a snickers right, no snickers, no peanuts, no, nothing like.

00:30:03.532 --> 00:30:04.875
And the dude was we need a joant.

00:30:05.136 --> 00:30:07.080
We need a Joe name when he's angry.

00:30:07.080 --> 00:30:08.384
No, I'm not.

00:30:08.384 --> 00:30:10.134
I don't get angry.

00:30:10.134 --> 00:30:11.018
Bob becomes Robert.

00:30:12.313 --> 00:30:13.277
I can deal with hangry.

00:30:13.551 --> 00:30:14.560
Oh, you were bitter.

00:30:14.560 --> 00:30:16.674
You were bitter, but it was multiple things.

00:30:16.951 --> 00:30:18.798
It's not just because I was hungry, I was fine.

00:30:18.798 --> 00:30:21.778
I didn't ask for one of Jeremy's hard-boiled eggs.

00:30:21.778 --> 00:30:27.171
I can deal with that.

00:30:27.171 --> 00:30:32.461
But when it's you're hungry and then there's no chapstick and the bathroom is locked from the inside, oh, you can go around.

00:30:32.461 --> 00:30:36.958
You can go around, joe wasn't hangry, he was annoyed I was.

00:30:36.958 --> 00:30:41.250
Yeah, I was he was annoyed for sure, and then the pro shop sucks like.

00:30:41.250 --> 00:30:45.317
If there was like a dope ass hat in there, that probably would have calmed me down a little bit.

00:30:45.317 --> 00:30:48.823
No dope hats, pro Shaps sucked.

00:30:48.863 --> 00:30:50.005
I didn't think it was that bad.

00:30:51.330 --> 00:30:52.957
I didn't think it was great, but it wasn't.

00:30:53.529 --> 00:30:56.515
I mean they had a ton of it was trash.

00:30:56.515 --> 00:30:57.713
It was trash.

00:30:59.192 --> 00:31:00.075
I liked the shirt.

00:31:00.075 --> 00:31:01.178
I got a shirt.

00:31:01.178 --> 00:31:02.221
Yeah, you bought one.

00:31:02.221 --> 00:31:06.851
I don't think it was no, it wasn't as bad as the rim.

00:31:07.531 --> 00:31:18.038
The rim was off the rim had clubs at least I think rims was actually nicer it was like a dnf less election, less election, but nicer.

00:31:18.279 --> 00:31:23.351
For sure it was nicer but they had um bridgestone hats.

00:31:23.351 --> 00:31:26.221
I mean, who the fuck wears a Bridgestone hat?

00:31:27.109 --> 00:31:28.375
No, but for me it's like you know.

00:31:28.375 --> 00:31:37.238
I've been looking forward to taking this trip for a long time and it's like I can't get a breakfast burrito, I can't get a high noon right now.

00:31:38.554 --> 00:31:40.140
I can't get an iced tea at the moment.

00:31:40.140 --> 00:31:49.596
And if we play the first hole and then there's a minute and a half half drive around a corner and he's like, oh, this is fucking okay, the first.

00:31:49.736 --> 00:31:52.161
The first hole was incredible the first hole.

00:31:52.161 --> 00:31:53.931
I was like, oh, this shit is sick.

00:31:53.931 --> 00:31:55.073
The first hole.

00:31:55.073 --> 00:31:56.916
I was like this shit is dope.

00:31:56.916 --> 00:32:03.517
And then we, and then seriously we took a minute and a half drive around a corner.

00:32:03.517 --> 00:32:06.022
I was was like what the fuck is this?

00:32:06.022 --> 00:32:09.571
The next hole was fantastic.

00:32:09.571 --> 00:32:11.799
I loved the next hole, too Great hole.

00:32:11.799 --> 00:32:21.935
It just hit me like why did we leave this hole and then go a minute and a half later and now we're here?

00:32:21.935 --> 00:32:23.836
It was just compounding.

00:32:23.836 --> 00:32:25.732
It was just compounded.

00:32:26.797 --> 00:32:27.839
Did that bother any of you guys?

00:32:30.163 --> 00:32:31.932
yeah, I like that the holes are separate.

00:32:32.915 --> 00:32:34.476
I like that too, but it was just.

00:32:34.476 --> 00:32:37.486
It was just a compounding issue.

00:32:37.486 --> 00:32:41.732
It was compound compounding interest.

00:32:41.732 --> 00:32:45.810
You know what I mean do you feel like he?

00:32:45.871 --> 00:32:50.599
lose like momentum in in that minute and a half drive or what is it?

00:32:50.599 --> 00:32:52.950
About that that you don't like I don't think he gets lost.

00:32:53.330 --> 00:32:53.892
He gets lost.

00:32:53.892 --> 00:32:55.797
He doesn't know where he's at I got lost.

00:32:55.896 --> 00:32:57.240
Yeah, I like to know where I am.

00:32:57.240 --> 00:32:58.041
I like to.

00:32:58.041 --> 00:33:02.740
I like to see the golf course and know how it goes, like I like to be able to.

00:33:02.740 --> 00:33:12.951
When I finish a golf course, I like to be able to know where I was and know how I ended and the routing just like fucked me up and that's that's me right, like it's in my head.

00:33:12.951 --> 00:33:18.326
I like to be able to play a golf course one time and know which I.

00:33:18.326 --> 00:33:23.176
I like to be able to replay my round and chaparral pines in my head.

00:33:23.176 --> 00:33:24.638
Chapral Pines.

00:33:24.638 --> 00:33:27.064
I have fucking no idea where I was.

00:33:27.064 --> 00:33:38.537
Like I know one, I know two, I know nine or ten, and it's just nine and ten and then I just I get lost.

00:33:38.537 --> 00:33:40.115
That's my thing, right.

00:33:40.115 --> 00:33:43.820
Like I don't know where I was in my round.

00:33:43.820 --> 00:33:44.371
I could.

00:33:44.371 --> 00:33:47.641
I like to be able to go back because I don't keep score.

00:33:47.641 --> 00:33:52.701
I like to go back and be able to like oh, I hit that shot there, I hit that shot there, I hit that shot there.

00:33:53.171 --> 00:34:03.163
I can't piss score everybody, yeah, and I was completely fucking lost and I also did not like that we were playing slow.

00:34:03.163 --> 00:34:05.759
We weren't playing slow, but to the members we were playing slow.

00:34:05.759 --> 00:34:11.396
We weren't playing slow, but, like to the members, we were playing slow and I I always felt like somebody was on our backs the entire time.

00:34:11.657 --> 00:34:12.139
They were.

00:34:12.139 --> 00:34:16.617
Yeah, they were I had to look back, cause that ball was like 15 yards behind us, rolling to us.

00:34:16.878 --> 00:34:22.713
Yeah, we're not slow players, we're not, not at all we played in four hours.

00:34:23.175 --> 00:34:31.342
Yeah, we're not still players and I just felt like there was all never seen before in our life.

00:34:31.382 --> 00:34:38.579
That is blind four hours is doable yeah, it's super acceptable that's the thing for me, if I cannot go through the entire course.

00:34:38.579 --> 00:34:43.193
In my head, the routing was sucked, and that's me.

00:34:43.293 --> 00:34:55.181
It's funny you say that because I used to, and me and Andrew Ganey used to talk about this all the time, because he has just doesn't remember anything.

00:34:55.181 --> 00:35:05.402
Nothing you know, and we were playing one time and he hit a really ridiculous chip shot that got close to the ground.

00:35:05.422 --> 00:35:07.737
I'm like oh oh man, that's just like the one you hit at cabot links.

00:35:07.737 --> 00:35:09.726
And he's like what the fuck are you talking about?

00:35:09.726 --> 00:35:11.753
And I'm like you don't remember that shot.

00:35:11.753 --> 00:35:15.911
And he's like, no, I couldn't tell you one hole on that whole course what it's like.

00:35:15.911 --> 00:35:28.014
I was like, oh my god, I said I could tell you every shot I've ever hit right, but like in the last year and a half two years, that's like's like it's starting to go away.

00:35:28.014 --> 00:35:33.338
Like I was sitting in bed last night thinking about the rim Cause I was like you know, the first.

00:35:33.338 --> 00:35:39.822
Like like two, three, four, five are just kind of numb to me.

00:35:39.822 --> 00:35:48.068
I don't know what is changing in me to where I don't have that ADHD, where I have to.

00:35:48.068 --> 00:35:55.313
You know that I have to remember every single shot, what I hit the yardage everything, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

00:35:55.574 --> 00:35:59.476
I'm like, oh well, I guess it wasn't that memorable, if I can't remember it.

00:36:00.297 --> 00:36:05.903
But do you remember, like, if you hit a good shot, do you remember a hole, that you hit an extra special shot?

00:36:05.903 --> 00:36:08.025
Yeah, I think on 11,.

00:36:11.331 --> 00:36:13.739
I hit that hybrid that was at the top of the hill.

00:36:13.739 --> 00:36:16.876
I don't remember 11.

00:36:18.635 --> 00:36:19.157
Oh, there you go.

00:36:19.157 --> 00:36:22.376
No, I'm talking about at the rim.

00:36:22.456 --> 00:36:23.137
I was at the rim.

00:36:23.157 --> 00:36:24.081
Yeah, I don't remember.

00:36:27.469 --> 00:36:28.873
That was the one in the video I got where.

00:36:28.873 --> 00:36:30.797
Dan drove it the long par five.

00:36:31.257 --> 00:36:32.742
No, no, no, it was a mile.

00:36:33.001 --> 00:36:33.603
It was a short par.

00:36:33.603 --> 00:36:35.577
It was not a short par four, but a par four.

00:36:35.597 --> 00:36:37.195
that it was the one that went to the right.

00:36:37.570 --> 00:36:39.458
You could have carried over the canyon to the fairway.

00:36:46.690 --> 00:36:47.338
Yeah, good birdie, dan birdied it.

00:36:47.338 --> 00:36:51.153
It was the one where I was short and Dan was like never change.

00:36:51.936 --> 00:36:52.980
That was 11.

00:36:52.980 --> 00:36:55.018
Joe went for a full flop and it went off.

00:36:55.018 --> 00:36:57.219
I was like 20 feet.

00:36:57.730 --> 00:36:59.916
The easiest of chip shots, almost flat.

00:36:59.916 --> 00:37:20.391
Four feet of fairway in front of him, about 18 feet of green, and must have flopped it and I was like never changed then I made like a 12 foot putt yeah but as you know, there's, there's some of those holes that I that just don't don't remember, you know.

00:37:20.432 --> 00:37:25.717
But and it's not like I'm trying to forget them, it's just you know that just didn't like the the, the third hole.

00:37:25.717 --> 00:37:27.449
I just I couldn't know, they just didn't like the the, the third hole.

00:37:27.449 --> 00:37:28.293
I just I couldn't.

00:37:28.293 --> 00:37:30.021
I'm like why can't I remember the third hole?

00:37:30.021 --> 00:37:36.358
And so I was watching dennis riccio and I'm like I'm like, wait a minute.

00:37:36.358 --> 00:37:37.900
Oh, okay, I remember.

00:37:37.900 --> 00:37:39.664
Now that's the one where we lost.

00:37:39.664 --> 00:37:42.835
Everybody was right on the opposite side of the bunkers.

00:37:42.835 --> 00:37:44.498
I said, okay, I remember.

00:37:45.199 --> 00:38:08.067
The only really bad hole out there at the rim was, well, we're on Chapel Rock Pines, I still, but one was the worst hole out there and that's because it was just straight away and that's what they tell you, like just welcome to the golf course, and that's that's like where my brain is right, like you know, and that's that's like where my brain is right.

00:38:08.067 --> 00:38:14.119
Like you know, we all were tired, also eating pizza from the pizza factory.

00:38:14.119 --> 00:38:14.882
Well, you know, full tired.

00:38:14.902 --> 00:38:27.003
We already played 18 and you know it was just a welcoming and, if you think about it right, it's like what a fantastic course to welcome you to your second 18 of the day after being super tired.

00:38:27.003 --> 00:38:35.077
Okay, here you are Opening hole Straight ahead, Nothing special, let's get back in the groove of things.

00:38:35.077 --> 00:38:41.958
And then it works its way around into the back nine and then you're like on, you know the back.

00:38:41.958 --> 00:38:46.657
You're like holy shit, Like that's what I love.

00:38:46.657 --> 00:38:53.619
It told the story it and it fit that second round perfectly of the day.

00:38:53.940 --> 00:38:57.597
We were fucking tired yeah, I said it was like okay, let's get back into the groove of things.

00:38:57.657 --> 00:38:58.623
Guys, I know you're tired.

00:38:58.623 --> 00:39:02.413
Here's a straightforward one for you I said it was a.

00:39:02.574 --> 00:39:03.134
It was a.

00:39:03.134 --> 00:39:04.556
Hold my beer back.

00:39:04.556 --> 00:39:06.639
Nine.

00:39:06.639 --> 00:39:09.161
I think, Dan, you're right.

00:39:09.161 --> 00:39:10.523
It started at hole six.

00:39:10.523 --> 00:39:12.306
I think it was five.

00:39:12.306 --> 00:39:19.710
Five is a short hole that you can drive the green with a big tee shot.

00:39:21.856 --> 00:39:23.181
Sorry on three for me, I don't remember three.

00:39:24.150 --> 00:39:24.530
Three, the par five.

00:39:24.550 --> 00:39:36.199
Three was I'm saying I didn't remember it, the one where we all, the one you lost the ball, yeah yeah and uh, then four was the par four or three and then, then it was five short four.

00:39:36.480 --> 00:39:40.710
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah that's what I said whole five, um, actually no two.

00:39:40.771 --> 00:39:45.476
It started on two for me, because that was the one that went up to the right and I hit it through the trees.

00:39:45.476 --> 00:39:49.342
Remember it was up to the right and you guys were all left.

00:39:49.342 --> 00:39:52.365
Yep, it did, it was.

00:39:52.365 --> 00:39:57.161
There was nothing basic about that, course, except one, except one.

00:39:57.161 --> 00:40:05.942
One was the only easy, straightforward hole and it was like a, I'm telling you, sorry, getting emotional rim was dope.

00:40:05.942 --> 00:40:08.547
Yeah, it was like a, I'm telling you okay, sorry, getting emotional.

00:40:08.568 --> 00:40:08.889
Rim was dope.

00:40:08.889 --> 00:40:12.056
Yeah, it definitely like it was a whole, a whole my beer.

00:40:12.056 --> 00:40:14.963
Let me show you what's coming up, because the the back nine was.

00:40:14.963 --> 00:40:16.954
It was spectacular.

00:40:16.954 --> 00:40:19.081
It was back to, I think, the.

00:40:19.081 --> 00:40:22.610
I think the conditions at chaparral pines were better.

00:40:22.610 --> 00:40:23.875
Yes, I agree with that.

00:40:23.875 --> 00:40:25.619
I think the the tighter holes at chaparral Pines were better.

00:40:25.619 --> 00:40:26.483
Yes, I agree with that.

00:40:26.483 --> 00:40:30.695
I think the tighter holes at Chaparral Pines made the golf a little bit more challenging.

00:40:30.695 --> 00:40:39.056
Totally, there wasn't as many I don't know where I'm going shots at Chaparral Pines as there was at the rim, in my opinion.

00:40:40.519 --> 00:40:43.521
Hold on what I think there was more More at.

00:40:43.521 --> 00:40:45.396
Chaparral, you don't know where you're going.

00:40:46.210 --> 00:40:48.197
There was some from the tees we were playing.

00:40:48.197 --> 00:40:51.300
There was some that you couldn't tell if you were going left or right.

00:40:52.269 --> 00:40:53.793
I thought there was more at the rim, though.

00:40:54.373 --> 00:40:55.416
Oh no, Not at all.

00:40:56.798 --> 00:40:57.380
I don't think so.

00:40:58.081 --> 00:40:58.702
I don't think so.

00:40:58.702 --> 00:41:09.059
I felt like there was, I think, the par fives, because there was at Chaparral Pines the par fives, because there was at at chaparral pines the par fives.

00:41:09.059 --> 00:41:13.958
There's two shots on that hole each time that you don't know where it's going yeah, that one of that.

00:41:14.039 --> 00:41:16.347
First, that one par five was downhill where it's.

00:41:16.347 --> 00:41:27.119
It's like a guaranteed three shots, unless you oh oh yeah, that was a nutty asshole, yeah it was a very sick hole, but the being able to go for it in two was not a possibility.

00:41:27.329 --> 00:41:27.871
I didn't think.

00:41:27.871 --> 00:41:29.135
No, not at all.

00:41:29.135 --> 00:41:31.092
There was so many funky ass holes.

00:41:31.112 --> 00:41:35.755
You would have to be so far right and so far long to have even look at the hole.

00:41:37.490 --> 00:41:39.255
So many funky holes at Chaparral.

00:41:39.255 --> 00:41:44.885
Chaparral C-H-A-P-P-A-R-L.

00:41:45.409 --> 00:41:46.072
No, that's not right.

00:41:46.072 --> 00:41:47.237
Right, don't do that again.

00:41:47.237 --> 00:41:56.474
Um, but I I thought the the tighter, the tighter layout made it a little bit more challenging golf rim was a lot more wide open.

00:41:56.494 --> 00:42:02.416
I did like I did, like a chaparral, that like when you hit you thought you were like I can't, I have to go right here.

00:42:02.416 --> 00:42:10.460
But there was way more room in areas where it's like if you play it a second time, obviously it's going to be more enjoyable because you know the course.

00:42:10.460 --> 00:42:25.878
But yeah, off the tee, chaparral is insane, but if you know it, you know there's room to the left, there's room to the right, here and there they even told us a couple of times, like 11 is not a driver hole.

00:42:30.570 --> 00:42:35.246
So I get up there and I had 18 birdies and I'm looking and I'm like, yeah, well, it's 275, 280 to the end of the fairway and it's kind of uphill.

00:42:35.246 --> 00:42:36.068
I said I'm, I'm fine with driver.

00:42:36.068 --> 00:42:51.936
Well, what you don't know is that at like 240 the hill peaks out and then it's downhill for another 50 yards and so, yeah, you hit it to that spot but then it's running out and going past and I was in the rough, I was blocked out by a tree, I had no chance to get to the green.

00:42:51.936 --> 00:42:56.416
I'm like you know, that's where next time I play that hole I would not hit driver off the team.

00:42:57.650 --> 00:43:12.541
I just think one of the greatest things about golf courses because everyone's so different, everybody plays so different right is like I don't think chaparral provides you with opportunities to have different thoughts on the tee.

00:43:12.541 --> 00:43:13.983
Like think of that.

00:43:13.983 --> 00:43:15.652
That par five, what was that?

00:43:15.652 --> 00:43:18.719
Six, 15, 16, the one where it went?

00:43:18.719 --> 00:43:20.923
You had to hit a 200 yard shot, like that was it?

00:43:20.923 --> 00:43:22.813
That was your only option off the tee, that was it?

00:43:24.036 --> 00:43:26.581
oh yeah yeah, that you don't have it.

00:43:27.043 --> 00:43:28.592
Yeah, you don't have an option off the tee.

00:43:28.592 --> 00:43:43.695
I think it was 50, and I think that's one of the great things about golf course architecture is like you're provided with two choices okay, pick one or the other, take it on, play safe.

00:43:43.695 --> 00:43:48.242
And the only option on that tee was to hit a 220 yard shot.

00:43:48.242 --> 00:43:48.983
That was it.

00:43:48.983 --> 00:43:53.480
There's no other option unless you can carry it 350 yards like jeremy.

00:43:53.480 --> 00:44:03.621
That's it yeah, and down no, jeremy's the big baller now no no, I'm not, he's absolutely.

00:44:03.621 --> 00:44:05.284
J Jeremy's elite Dude.

00:44:05.284 --> 00:44:06.304
I don't know.

00:44:06.951 --> 00:44:11.340
I don't know, because what you did on 14 at the rim was pretty freaking amazing.

00:44:12.789 --> 00:44:22.864
That was obscene that was nasty, call the church, cross it out.

00:44:23.574 --> 00:44:38.302
The 14th hole at the rim is, uh, straight line 380 yards to the front of the green there is a little bit yeah, from the back t is 380 did you guys play the back t.

00:44:38.751 --> 00:44:39.851
No, we hit from your t.

00:44:39.851 --> 00:44:41.014
We played up.

00:44:41.014 --> 00:44:43.277
I thought you guys went back and hit from the back tee.

00:44:43.478 --> 00:44:45.442
Yeah, I think it was like 360.

00:44:45.442 --> 00:44:47.264
So still, Still.

00:44:47.264 --> 00:44:48.891
I mean.

00:44:48.891 --> 00:44:55.920
So we all hit our tee shots and then Dan and Jeremy went oh, we're going to go back and re-tee and go for it, since we know where it's at now.

00:44:55.920 --> 00:44:57.635
And so they go back.

00:44:57.635 --> 00:45:00.275
I hit my approach, joe hits his approach.

00:45:00.275 --> 00:45:00.978
I'm videoing it.

00:45:00.978 --> 00:45:10.181
This is a video I posted earlier today and as Joe's balls coming into the green, you see Jeremy's ball come into the green as well from 360 yards away.

00:45:10.181 --> 00:45:13.126
Yeah, that was insane.

00:45:13.126 --> 00:45:16.893
That was an incredible golf shot.

00:45:16.914 --> 00:45:23.090
Well, thanks to Dan for going first and showing me the way, because it was.

00:45:23.090 --> 00:45:23.652
I mean, we still had no idea.

00:45:23.652 --> 00:45:23.793
Really.

00:45:23.793 --> 00:45:26.360
We had sort of picked a target and it ended up being good.

00:45:28.251 --> 00:45:30.550
And what about some of the houses, the?

00:45:30.592 --> 00:45:31.295
houses were amazing.

00:45:31.929 --> 00:45:37.280
Holy crap, there is some hidden cartel money going on at the rim, good Lord.

00:45:39.150 --> 00:45:42.554
That's a lot of that missing people money bro, yeah, yeah.

00:45:45.117 --> 00:45:50.271
So I would recommend everybody pay attention to the beautiful golf courses.

00:45:50.271 --> 00:45:55.125
Uh, the four hadley auction they'll start touting it in november.

00:45:55.806 --> 00:46:07.793
Uh, you'll be able to see all the things that are out there if you are a golf course operator and you want to help raise some money, get in touch with us.

00:46:07.793 --> 00:46:13.592
We'll connect you with Mike at Beautiful Golf Courses and the people at Fort Hadley so you can donate some foursomes.

00:46:13.592 --> 00:46:14.597
That's basically what they do.

00:46:14.597 --> 00:46:17.532
The golf courses donate a foursome.

00:46:17.532 --> 00:46:21.894
Sometimes you've got to have a three ball because you've got to play with a member.

00:46:21.894 --> 00:46:25.539
Then they go out to bid.

00:46:25.539 --> 00:46:32.201
Whoever bids the most gets them, and we were sneaky and found a really great deal.

00:46:32.201 --> 00:46:37.141
We're going to be trying to do the exact same thing this time somewhere else Look out, look, out, look out.

00:46:37.221 --> 00:46:37.621
Look out.

00:46:37.621 --> 00:46:41.820
So we're going to find some place somewhere and take care of it.

00:46:43.050 --> 00:46:52.094
Also, if you're a member at a golf course and you think your course should be a part of it, you need to hit up Beautiful Golf Courses in Fort Hadley and try and get your course involved with it.

00:46:52.094 --> 00:46:54.893
It's what.

00:46:55.615 --> 00:46:56.438
I just said that.

00:46:58.851 --> 00:46:59.594
Not the same way.

00:46:59.594 --> 00:47:03.371
Just get involved with it.

00:47:03.371 --> 00:47:04.898
It's a fantastic opportunity.

00:47:04.898 --> 00:47:05.534
Just get involved.

00:47:05.534 --> 00:47:05.775
Just do's a.

00:47:05.775 --> 00:47:06.362
It's a fantastic opportunity.

00:47:06.362 --> 00:47:06.746
Just get involved.

00:47:06.766 --> 00:47:11.219
Just get involved just do it there's some vegas courses are on there.

00:47:11.219 --> 00:47:20.217
So you know, if you want to make a vegas trip and you don't want to pay the crazy money that vegas is charging for golf right now, make sure you can.

00:47:20.217 --> 00:47:22.403
You know if you can find some on there.

00:47:22.403 --> 00:47:25.086
I'm sure there's st george courses, all the desert areas around there.

00:47:25.086 --> 00:47:28.436
Um, I'm sure, I'm sure there's st george courses, all the desert areas around there um, I'm sure.

00:47:28.456 --> 00:47:32.443
I'm sure you guys get hit up all the time like how did you play there, what did you do?

00:47:32.443 --> 00:47:36.891
There's opportunities to play these courses and you just got to go out there and seek them out and find it.

00:47:36.891 --> 00:47:43.498
You know, just like in vegas, snga does the the um, what is it?

00:47:43.498 --> 00:47:54.503
Social series or social outings, yeah, yeah or scrambles, or, you know, beautiful golf courses and for hadley that there's options for you to be able to do these things.

00:47:54.563 --> 00:48:04.873
So just stay vigilant, stay vigilant, stay vigilant uh, speaking of beautiful golf courses, uh, mike will be in town tomorrow night.

00:48:04.873 --> 00:48:07.742
He uh has an early flight and then he'll be here.

00:48:07.742 --> 00:48:12.266
He's got early wake up call, he said, and then he'll be here tomorrow night playing golf with him.

00:48:12.266 --> 00:48:17.297
On Friday, it was supposed to be us but then.

00:48:18.199 --> 00:48:26.960
Joe's got dad duties for his new student, Jeremy's got dad duties for his students, Dan's got a real life job duty, so he couldn't get away.

00:48:26.960 --> 00:48:33.382
So you know, I made the call to the pen and brought in a couple of relievers.

00:48:33.382 --> 00:48:45.032
So Steven Jackson and Trey will be joining Mike and myself out there on Friday to make a loop around Cascada Nice.

00:48:45.211 --> 00:48:45.974
I wish I could go.

00:48:45.974 --> 00:48:46.677
I really do.

00:48:46.697 --> 00:48:48.998
Curious to see what's going on out there.

00:48:48.998 --> 00:48:52.398
Same We've heard horror stories.

00:48:52.398 --> 00:48:54.358
We've heard not horror stories.

00:48:54.358 --> 00:49:03.717
So we'll actually have some boots on the ground Friday and I'll let everybody know what the hell is going on at Cascada.

00:49:03.717 --> 00:49:12.699
And then Saturday he has a spot at Rio, but we're all playing in the golf tournament, at the VGN tournament.

00:49:12.699 --> 00:49:18.498
So he threw a post out there saying hey, need three for Rio Seco on Saturday.

00:49:18.498 --> 00:49:19.320
Vegas hit me up.

00:49:19.320 --> 00:49:31.079
So if you're looking, you know you're not in the VGN and you want to play some golf on Saturday at Rio Seco, hit up Beautiful Golf Courses and see if you can get out with Mike Awesome dude.

00:49:31.831 --> 00:49:33.577
Awesome dude, awesome people.

00:49:33.577 --> 00:49:34.853
Mike's the man.

00:49:34.853 --> 00:49:35.215
Shout out.

00:49:35.215 --> 00:49:36.795
Mike Shout out Beautiful Golf Courses.

00:49:37.971 --> 00:49:39.878
Make sure you're giving them a follow.

00:49:39.878 --> 00:49:47.739
And then Highland Falls, saturday is where we are setting up shop.

00:49:47.739 --> 00:49:54.878
The course in West Summerlin, it's just Summerlin, right, it's not West.

00:49:54.958 --> 00:49:57.876
Summerlin, they're South.

00:49:57.896 --> 00:49:58.639
Summerlin now.

00:49:59.351 --> 00:50:00.677
No, it's Summerlin, bro, it's.

00:50:00.717 --> 00:50:03.838
Summerlin, in the hills of Summerlin, we'll be up there.

00:50:03.838 --> 00:50:05.858
We've got a 7 am shotgun going off.

00:50:05.858 --> 00:50:09.360
68 players are playing in this one.

00:50:09.360 --> 00:50:13.420
Finally, the Diamonds Division gets a bunch of players.

00:50:13.420 --> 00:50:17.896
You guys have 16 in your flight, we got 22, I think.

00:50:17.896 --> 00:50:23.463
In the spades 15 and 12, I think rounds it out something like that.

00:50:23.463 --> 00:50:26.059
So, yeah, it's going to be a good time.

00:50:26.059 --> 00:50:30.278
The weather is going to be nice in the morning but it's going to get hot in the afternoon and it's going to be windy.

00:50:30.278 --> 00:50:48.543
So if you guys want to dig in on some really cool information on how to play in the wind, the Sweet Spot replayed an episode where they had some guys from Ping that have been doing a bunch of analyzing with wind and humidity and temperature.

00:50:48.543 --> 00:50:50.853
Amazing, listen if you're a golf nerd.

00:50:51.954 --> 00:50:53.257
Nerd.

00:50:54.079 --> 00:50:54.820
Where's that?

00:50:54.820 --> 00:50:56.123
What's that?

00:50:57.373 --> 00:50:58.277
Where did you listen to that?

00:50:58.690 --> 00:51:01.097
The Sweet Spot with John.

00:51:01.097 --> 00:51:02.199
Sherman and Adam Young.

00:51:02.840 --> 00:51:03.041
Yeah.

00:51:03.670 --> 00:51:12.186
So I mean I was like listening to him, like holy shit, this is stuff I never even thought about Nerds, nerds, nerds.

00:51:12.771 --> 00:51:14.016
Nerds, nerds, nerds.

00:51:14.396 --> 00:51:14.617
Alpha.

00:51:18.530 --> 00:51:26.117
Didn't go nerd out on the Garson interview, because that was a really good one too.

00:51:26.117 --> 00:51:27.461
I still need to go listen to that.

00:51:27.461 --> 00:51:31.730
How sad is that, my brethren.

00:51:31.889 --> 00:51:33.193
I was out of town.

00:51:33.193 --> 00:51:34.615
I was out of town.

00:51:34.615 --> 00:51:39.246
We should have listened to it in the talk you sat in your room on what not?

00:51:39.721 --> 00:51:47.708
for six hours by yourself, you could have no, we should have listened to it in the raptor, in Jeremy's raptor.

00:51:47.708 --> 00:51:52.807
We should have done that we should have been like hey guys, the Garson interview is fantastic.

00:51:52.807 --> 00:51:54.688
I didn't want to force it upon you.

00:51:54.688 --> 00:51:56.166
I want you to want to listen to it.

00:51:56.541 --> 00:51:57.565
I do want to listen to it.

00:51:58.623 --> 00:51:59.545
I want you to want to.

00:51:59.545 --> 00:51:59.927
I support it.

00:51:59.927 --> 00:52:00.650
I do want to listen to it.

00:52:00.670 --> 00:52:01.815
I want you know I support all.

00:52:01.815 --> 00:52:05.905
I support all of us oh yeah oh, do you have any?

00:52:05.927 --> 00:52:08.110
garson grips played highland today.

00:52:08.110 --> 00:52:09.780
Greens were a little dried out there boys.

00:52:09.780 --> 00:52:13.789
Yep well, it's freaking hot, so yeah yes, I do.

00:52:14.090 --> 00:52:15.233
I do have some in stock jay.

00:52:16.942 --> 00:52:29.210
So, and uh, a plentiful more are coming because I want to make sure that, uh, we get you and dan in one, that you like, dan, talking to you.

00:52:29.210 --> 00:52:39.369
I think I'm, I would, it's like we'll see we'll say, like I said I just want you to find one that you like and try it and see what happens.

00:52:39.610 --> 00:52:40.951
That's all I love, carson.

00:52:40.951 --> 00:52:43.074
Fantastic, fantastic grips.

00:52:43.934 --> 00:52:45.556
That is all I mean.

00:52:45.556 --> 00:52:47.806
He's got a lot of wins on tour.

00:52:48.748 --> 00:52:49.210
He does.

00:52:49.210 --> 00:52:51.467
He don't want to disrupt that yeah.

00:52:52.128 --> 00:52:56.521
Hey I I said to myself you know I have two VGN wins, both with Carson grips.

00:52:56.521 --> 00:52:57.202
You know all my wins, both with.

00:52:57.222 --> 00:52:59.407
Carson grips.

00:52:59.407 --> 00:53:01.190
All my putts made in the past, what?

00:53:01.190 --> 00:53:02.572
Four years?

00:53:02.572 --> 00:53:10.208
Probably a Carson Tap-ins 20s, 15s, 10s, 8s, all of them, all Carson.

00:53:10.751 --> 00:53:11.172
All Carson.

00:53:11.172 --> 00:53:14.626
Gotta get you a Carson on that Goodwood.

00:53:15.387 --> 00:53:18.766
Yeah, I know, I was rolling that thing really good.

00:53:18.766 --> 00:53:19.742
You know what you?

00:53:19.782 --> 00:53:20.425
should have done.

00:53:20.425 --> 00:53:25.907
We should have brought that in and had Lamont take a look at it and fix the waiting for you.

00:53:25.907 --> 00:53:28.545
That would have been cool.

00:53:28.545 --> 00:53:30.606
Made it fucking perfect.

00:53:31.548 --> 00:53:33.224
Yeah, the wait felt.

00:53:33.224 --> 00:53:34.527
Good this trip.

00:53:34.668 --> 00:53:35.530
I don't know what's going on.

00:53:35.719 --> 00:53:39.346
Maybe I lost muscle, maybe I gained muscle, I don't know.

00:53:39.346 --> 00:53:47.532
I have no idea, because maybe the alabertos hit me in a specific spot, in my biceps or triceps.

00:53:48.380 --> 00:53:49.425
You want to hear something crazy.

00:53:49.425 --> 00:53:51.985
I gained seven pounds.

00:53:51.985 --> 00:53:56.485
Nice, no, that's not nice.

00:53:56.485 --> 00:54:03.605
I think that was that burrito, that was the sugar coffee in the morning.

00:54:03.605 --> 00:54:06.409
Of the burrito, holy Mary.

00:54:06.429 --> 00:54:07.914
That was good food, though.

00:54:08.920 --> 00:54:10.668
Dude, that Alberto's was bomb.

00:54:10.668 --> 00:54:12.507
That was legit.

00:54:13.061 --> 00:54:13.521
I would trade.

00:54:13.601 --> 00:54:16.110
Alberto's for my local for sure.

00:54:17.784 --> 00:54:19.409
Yeah, I was impressed.

00:54:19.960 --> 00:54:21.402
Do you think it was better than Roberto's?

00:54:22.545 --> 00:54:24.972
Yes, Really oh yeah.

00:54:29.829 --> 00:54:32.844
That was one of the best combo burritos I've ever had in my life.

00:54:34.728 --> 00:54:35.570
The ground beef.

00:54:35.570 --> 00:54:41.809
Yeah, that carne asada was fantastic.

00:54:41.809 --> 00:54:43.432
Couldn't get to the mute fast enough.

00:54:44.483 --> 00:54:54.007
Yeah, so you guys in the phoenix area and they're all over the small towns in the eastern arizona side, uh show low holbrook eager well, I was asking.

00:54:54.027 --> 00:55:07.706
I was asking value of flips if he's got any philip burdos head covers earlier I wonder how close the nearest alaberto's is to uh second swing, right it's probably basin.

00:55:07.706 --> 00:55:11.414
It's probably basin because road trip on the cup.

00:55:11.414 --> 00:55:12.782
It was all small cities.

00:55:12.782 --> 00:55:14.085
Mesa was.

00:55:14.286 --> 00:55:28.269
Mesa was the big one, though yeah, I took a picture of it because eager is where my mom grew up and it's a tiny, tiny little town and they had one and she, I sent her the picture and showed it to her and, uh, she said that, uh, heber is even smaller than eager.

00:55:28.269 --> 00:55:39.706
But yeah, maricopa, mesa, page, prescott, payson, heber, eager, wagon wheel, lakeside, pine top, cholo, taylor and holbrook, which are all small towns, and there's one in Las Lunas, new Mexico.

00:55:43.561 --> 00:55:44.206
We need a franchise.

00:55:44.246 --> 00:55:46.059
Here let's go the Knights.

00:55:47.320 --> 00:55:50.269
Yeah, I will, no doubt Las Lunas.

00:55:52.202 --> 00:55:52.724
Overall.

00:55:52.724 --> 00:56:06.027
I mean if you're looking at the whole spectrum of restaurants, like overall, it's difficult to beat those restaurants, like if you take into account everything like the selections, the food, the atmosphere.

00:56:07.068 --> 00:56:22.094
Yeah, it's it's up there, the elk the elk, the bucket, the pasta next door hey, another thing, joe, don't forget the fresca in it yeah, in a glass bottle.

00:56:22.735 --> 00:56:23.215
Yeah, that's true.

00:56:23.215 --> 00:56:24.222
Never seen that before.

00:56:24.222 --> 00:56:26.306
That is true.

00:56:26.527 --> 00:56:38.068
I don't even I don't think katie's trying to yet oh man, I was at albertson's day too and I forgot to look for that chasing burritos hell yeah, hey I heard of a spot.

00:56:38.228 --> 00:56:39.371
I heard of a spot today.

00:56:39.371 --> 00:56:43.742
I heard of a spot today Mexican spot downtown.

00:56:43.742 --> 00:56:49.112
Chris Torres told me not to blow up the spot, but yeah.

00:56:49.432 --> 00:56:49.974
I don't do it there.

00:56:50.521 --> 00:56:51.382
I'm not going to, but.

00:56:51.382 --> 00:57:00.695
I'm just saying like I need to go as soon as possible because it looks incredible.

00:57:00.695 --> 00:57:05.367
We might have to take a golf trip to Desert Pines to get you guys off your keto.

00:57:09.039 --> 00:57:10.646
We're going to Desert Pines next week.

00:57:11.019 --> 00:57:11.402
We are.

00:57:11.402 --> 00:57:12.284
Yeah, absolutely.

00:57:12.284 --> 00:57:13.068
Guap me, guys.

00:57:13.068 --> 00:57:19.092
If you guys don't know, guap me, don't follow Troy Magic's back in town.

00:57:19.092 --> 00:57:20.641
What day is that?

00:57:20.641 --> 00:57:23.288
I think it's the 16th.

00:57:23.809 --> 00:57:31.956
maybe, right, it's 16th, or 14th I think it's sunday, sunday it's a sunday yeah, sunday the 14th, I think, or 17th.

00:57:31.956 --> 00:57:37.969
Yeah, yeah, yeah, nine o'clock sunday the 17th yep, yep.

00:57:38.990 --> 00:58:00.726
A lot of the big brands are not the big brands, but the smaller brands in golf are going to be here for Project Magic the Gathering, pluto, sandy Par, golf of Flavor, number 33, merrill Students those guys we're going to go play some golf at Desert Pines.

00:58:00.726 --> 00:58:01.871
I'm very excited.

00:58:01.871 --> 00:58:04.429
I know you guys are not very excited to play Desert Pines.

00:58:04.429 --> 00:58:05.583
I love Desert Pines.

00:58:05.583 --> 00:58:07.088
I know you guys don't.

00:58:07.440 --> 00:58:08.943
Probably the last time we ever play it.

00:58:09.643 --> 00:58:12.409
That might be, might be true, because it's getting.

00:58:12.449 --> 00:58:13.190
Farewell to the.

00:58:13.231 --> 00:58:15.275
DP Train wreck.

00:58:15.275 --> 00:58:19.809
It's going to be just rolled over for section 8 housing.

00:58:20.170 --> 00:58:20.592
Another.

00:58:20.692 --> 00:58:29.869
It's going to be just rolled over for section 8, housing, another one bites the dust, and then Alberto's is going to come in the house and they're going to put a fucking Alberto's on the corner, and then what's going to be the diet Alberto's?

00:58:31.202 --> 00:58:38.547
You need to tell Alberto's to open up the restaurant on the second floor at Wild Horse and just kill it.

00:58:40.161 --> 00:58:42.920
Dude, I would love to franchise a fucking alabertos.

00:58:42.920 --> 00:58:46.887
No doubt they're doing it right over there.

00:58:48.009 --> 00:58:53.346
You can go in and wiki up with the other four right, yeah, right restaurants they have in there.

00:58:54.367 --> 00:59:04.403
Yeah, and and the seafood joint yeah oh man, they should just put a pond out there at least, like we grow our own fish or something you know.

00:59:04.403 --> 00:59:07.092
Give you some sort of like fulfillment in your decision.

00:59:07.092 --> 00:59:10.762
Yeah, some koi tacos yeah, uh.

00:59:10.943 --> 00:59:12.266
So thanks everybody.

00:59:12.266 --> 00:59:15.891
Oh, you know, oh, we got the the playoffs, the pga playoffs.

00:59:15.891 --> 00:59:20.447
Uh, playoffs start, uh tomorrow, um, or today.

00:59:20.447 --> 00:59:26.449
If you're listening to this today, uh, that's gonna be interesting to see everything that happens with that.

00:59:26.449 --> 00:59:33.972
This is when you see a lot of the fall, new coming releases, stuff that get to sneak into the bags of some players.

00:59:33.972 --> 00:59:38.987
Callaway just released some new wedges, uh, that uh are out.

00:59:38.987 --> 00:59:41.172
A lot of players are hyping that up.

00:59:41.172 --> 00:59:43.460
Um, what are the new wedges?

00:59:43.460 --> 00:59:45.987
Uh, they're called the sp wedges.

00:59:45.987 --> 00:59:47.130
I I haven't got any info on.

00:59:47.130 --> 00:59:59.650
I gotta talk to site and find out what's going on with them, but uh, apparently they're a little little zippier um hey, you made it gave you all your shine earlier.

01:00:02.699 --> 01:00:04.364
Your ears must have been burning, greenlee.

01:00:04.364 --> 01:00:05.027
You still hear her.

01:00:05.027 --> 01:00:06.170
You still hear her, greenlee.

01:00:06.170 --> 01:00:10.092
Just curious, go ahead.

01:00:10.092 --> 01:00:12.009
Continue, I forgot what I was saying.

01:00:12.009 --> 01:00:13.376
You're talking about the SP wedges.

01:00:13.376 --> 01:00:15.485
Oh yeah, yeah, the new wedges from Callaway.

01:00:16.900 --> 01:00:18.226
Apparently they're a little bit more zippier.

01:00:18.226 --> 01:00:20.769
I don't know much else about them, but a bunch away I just.

01:00:20.769 --> 01:00:21.695
Apparently they're a little bit more zippier.

01:00:21.695 --> 01:00:24.326
I don't know much else about them, but a bunch of other stuff going on.

01:00:24.326 --> 01:00:24.887
What did he say?

01:00:24.887 --> 01:00:26.603
There he is Sketchy.

01:00:26.603 --> 01:00:28.306
Msp hotel has me not sleeping.

01:00:32.219 --> 01:00:35.985
Greenlee, I need to pick your ear on some protos, if you will.

01:00:35.985 --> 01:00:38.385
So hit me up tomorrow.

01:00:39.702 --> 01:00:41.599
Oh, that's something else that we did while we were there.

01:00:41.599 --> 01:00:47.556
We went and saw, uh doc's been talking yeah, doc, at uh new level.

01:00:47.556 --> 01:00:55.753
Stopped in the shop there saw those guys, saw some trues that new true links shout out true links where best shoes in the game.

01:00:55.753 --> 01:00:59.509
I don't know, I got a blister on my foot that I'm a little upset about.

01:00:59.528 --> 01:01:04.050
You wore the wrong ones wore the knit fours.

01:01:05.751 --> 01:01:08.367
I gotta have spikes now, right now, I need the spikes.

01:01:08.601 --> 01:01:10.288
I need the spikes for that torque.

01:01:12.425 --> 01:01:16.974
Matt needs all that torque falling down a hill wing chat needs all the torque.

01:01:16.974 --> 01:01:18.025
I don't need to be.

01:01:18.025 --> 01:01:19.505
I don't need to be.

01:01:19.505 --> 01:01:21.061
It's Wang chat needs all the torque.

01:01:21.061 --> 01:01:22.643
I don't need to be Wang chat.

01:01:23.043 --> 01:01:25.664
I don't need to be, it's hilarious.

01:01:25.826 --> 01:01:38.137
So if you all don't know, if you all don't know, my last name is spelled really jacked up and it is really hard to pronounce properly.

01:01:38.137 --> 01:01:56.983
And so it is a treasure when we go somewhere and the booking is in my name, because it is like what, what is going to happen when this person sees this, and most of the time, most of the time, it's like oh, looks like they wrote it down wrong.

01:01:56.983 --> 01:02:00.130
It's like no, they wrote it down Right.

01:02:00.130 --> 01:02:01.813
How do you say that?

01:02:01.813 --> 01:02:02.695
It's like no, they wrote it down right.

01:02:02.695 --> 01:02:04.717
How do you say that?

01:02:04.717 --> 01:02:09.652
It's like go ahead, Hit me with your best shot, Wing chat.

01:02:09.751 --> 01:02:10.193
Okay, I'll call you.

01:02:11.940 --> 01:02:13.643
I'll call you Best shoe in the game.

01:02:13.643 --> 01:02:21.101
David Downer, I did get a blister and I talked to the guy at True and I said I got a blister, so it's the Lux 2.

01:02:21.121 --> 01:02:22.505
He was like don't wear them in the summer.

01:02:22.505 --> 01:02:23.047
That's what he said.

01:02:23.047 --> 01:02:25.744
He's like don't wear them in the summer it's a winter shoe.

01:02:26.224 --> 01:02:26.344
It's.

01:02:26.344 --> 01:02:32.177
It's not sold as a winter shoe, but uh, it's.

01:02:32.177 --> 01:02:34.181
It's not breathable whatsoever.

01:02:34.181 --> 01:02:47.510
It's very comfortable, but, oh my god, it was 111 degrees out there and my feet felt like they were on fire they were very hot so damn hot and the soft feet I will say even my lux.

01:02:47.750 --> 01:02:50.641
My lux twos were like hot too, like that was not.

01:02:50.641 --> 01:02:53.106
That was not a day to wear something thick.

01:02:53.789 --> 01:03:01.750
No, you needed to be out there in sandals yeah we could have played in some zorzy zorzy sandals with this.

01:03:01.750 --> 01:03:04.724
Oh man, anyway, I was gonna take these off.

01:03:04.784 --> 01:03:10.403
If it was, if it wasn't like there was, you know, cart pass and rocks, I would crazy comfortable shoe.

01:03:10.824 --> 01:03:12.750
Love the spikes, love the feel of it.

01:03:12.750 --> 01:03:25.076
But I will not wear them until probably november, just because, yeah, man, my little piggy is tore up yeah, I need the knit fours really bad.

01:03:27.023 --> 01:03:27.666
I need those new.

01:03:28.005 --> 01:03:29.871
Yeah, I just need them all in all black.

01:03:29.990 --> 01:03:32.202
Just give me an all black, all black.

01:03:32.202 --> 01:03:34.025
But no, it was super cool.

01:03:34.025 --> 01:03:46.452
See, rodent, obviously the doc, uh, stopping at new level, saw some new things that are on the way, but we cannot talk about them very cool shit, very cool shit also, dan.

01:03:46.652 --> 01:04:04.422
I mean like dude, it's, it's so cool just stopping in just seeing people in the golf industry and like learning things and like seeing clubs, you know, like we saw like rymo stamp clubs and weird ass putters that tour players are trying and things like that.

01:04:04.422 --> 01:04:07.809
It's just, dan, you can answer this.

01:04:09.050 --> 01:04:15.931
Mike's asking if any of you guys tried the painter shoes yeah, well, I tried the uh, the first runs that they uh, that they had.

01:04:15.931 --> 01:04:22.782
I haven't been in them since got them about, I don't know four years ago, but uh they were comfortable.

01:04:22.782 --> 01:04:29.952
They were just a little, a little bit too narrow for my feet, but I know now that they have made wide versions but they look sick.

01:04:29.952 --> 01:04:38.112
I mean, you know, for being a little narrower they were still pretty comfortable, but they came out some crazy looking ones better uh, jason day.

01:04:38.353 --> 01:04:43.507
Jason Day was sitting down with the owner showing the new line coming out.

01:04:43.507 --> 01:04:45.302
I mean Dan's how.

01:04:45.342 --> 01:04:46.266
I heard about Painter.

01:04:48.346 --> 01:04:54.826
I saw him and then Dan showed up with him one day and I'm like oh shit, I got white boats and the new ones.

01:04:54.846 --> 01:04:55.509
That's good to know.

01:04:56.661 --> 01:04:57.907
Yeah, that's good to know.

01:04:57.907 --> 01:05:02.266
All right, anybody got anything else.

01:05:03.360 --> 01:05:06.766
Yeah, us Women's Am at Bandon, oh yeah.

01:05:07.079 --> 01:05:08.646
I was watching that this afternoon.

01:05:09.320 --> 01:05:13.039
Yep, I was hoping they were going to play another course, but I think it's just OG.

01:05:13.039 --> 01:05:15.148
It's just OG, which is fine.

01:05:15.148 --> 01:05:17.985
It's completely fine, but it was cool to see again.

01:05:17.985 --> 01:05:19.501
Still fantastic.

01:05:20.123 --> 01:05:24.492
I was watching and one of the announcers was playing in it.

01:05:24.492 --> 01:05:30.123
One of the for the Golf Channel, one of the announcers that she or I don't know.

01:05:30.123 --> 01:05:34.507
They made it seem like she was announced because they're like we don't want you back on camera tomorrow.

01:05:34.507 --> 01:05:38.846
We want you to make it through, but she made it through the round of 32.

01:05:41.050 --> 01:05:41.592
It's so fun.

01:05:41.592 --> 01:05:42.715
It's so fun, it's so fun to see them.

01:05:43.400 --> 01:05:45.768
And they hype up Bandon really well, they talk about it.

01:05:47.101 --> 01:05:48.465
Well, I mean as they should.

01:05:48.465 --> 01:05:49.128
It's the best.

01:05:49.780 --> 01:05:51.983
Yeah, absolutely so.

01:05:51.983 --> 01:05:58.110
If you are curious to see Bandon on TV, they show 16 a lot, so you know, hold them, tears, hold them tears.

01:05:58.130 --> 01:06:02.963
They show 16 a lot, so hold them tears, hold them tears.

01:06:05.206 --> 01:06:05.327
Did.

01:06:05.347 --> 01:06:06.429
I miss anything else.

01:06:06.469 --> 01:06:09.351
Does anybody want to know what we shot?

01:06:09.351 --> 01:06:10.494
I got all the scores.

01:06:10.494 --> 01:06:11.735
Anyone want to guess?

01:06:13.340 --> 01:06:14.710
We don't have a lot of people watching right now.

01:06:14.710 --> 01:06:15.780
I think the last round was my best round.

01:06:16.099 --> 01:06:18.965
I do know that I think yes, that was your best round.

01:06:18.965 --> 01:06:21.061
You are correct, jeremy, you needed.

01:06:21.061 --> 01:06:22.065
I know I fell apart on one round, I do know that.

01:06:22.085 --> 01:06:22.646
Yes, that was your best round.

01:06:22.666 --> 01:06:26.599
You are correct, I know I fell apart on one round I did not play.

01:06:26.619 --> 01:06:27.804
Well, dan, let's see.

01:06:27.804 --> 01:06:31.565
Your bad round was at the back at.

01:06:31.565 --> 01:06:34.804
No, you didn't play that, you shot a 71.

01:06:34.804 --> 01:06:36.384
Oh, 78.

01:06:36.384 --> 01:06:39.208
That's what it was, the back at Chaparral.

01:06:40.041 --> 01:06:43.025
People are going to be in the chat like bad round 78.

01:06:43.099 --> 01:06:43.661
Yeah, it was bad.

01:06:43.661 --> 01:06:44.706
Fuck you, Dan yeah.

01:06:49.545 --> 01:06:57.780
So the total par, because one was 71, 72, and 72, so it was 215.

01:06:57.780 --> 01:07:04.219
Dan was 5 over over, jeremy was 10 over, I was 22 over and Joe was 33 over for the three rounds.

01:07:05.163 --> 01:07:10.085
Larry Bird, let's go what was my three rounds?

01:07:10.085 --> 01:07:18.626
I honestly don't even know your first in the rim club you.

01:07:18.666 --> 01:07:22.871
Yeah was your worst round.

01:07:22.871 --> 01:07:24.355
You shot an Shelf lines in the rim club.

01:07:24.355 --> 01:07:25.478
Oh yeah, Wekapaw was your worst round.

01:07:25.478 --> 01:07:29.306
You shot an 80, and that's because you shot a 41 on the back.

01:07:29.306 --> 01:07:31.210
Well, you shot 39-41.

01:07:31.250 --> 01:07:32.132
You didn't play great that day.

01:07:32.132 --> 01:07:33.173
I didn't make a single putt.

01:07:36.021 --> 01:07:39.239
Yeah, but then you shot 74-71.

01:07:39.259 --> 01:07:44.027
Okay, that first round was an anomaly.

01:07:44.027 --> 01:07:45.170
Look at what Mike said.

01:07:45.210 --> 01:07:47.213
You guys like Chow, he missed the beginning of the show.

01:07:47.213 --> 01:07:56.916
Oh yes, mike, yes, Chow is great.

01:07:57.579 --> 01:07:58.909
Yeah, it was fantastic it was absolutely fantastic.

01:07:58.909 --> 01:07:59.351
Yes, we will be back.

01:07:59.351 --> 01:07:59.815
Yeah, it was fantastic.

01:07:59.815 --> 01:08:02.860
It was absolutely fantastic, yes we will be back.

01:08:03.465 --> 01:08:05.199

01:11:00.251 --> 01:11:02.326
